Beautiful home, great location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five (3 teenagers) really enjoyed our week at this home. We started our 10-day trip in Rocky Mountain NP, and spent the remaining week in Carbondale in this custom-designed, contemporary home. I recommend the location - Carbondale - as an emerging art/historical town situated between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, since there are interesting hikes and sites in each of those locations. Home could get a little warm in summer afternoons, but a central fan (not A/C) helps make the home comfortable by evening. Kitchen is very well stocked, and the highlight is the back patio/garden area. A short 2-block walk to Main Street, which has several nice restaurants and the market on Wednesdays. Owners are very helpful, and they provide many good tips and recommendations for your stay.

The Residence Exceeds Expectations

  • 5 of 5

When we viewed The Residence online, we expected something special. When we arrived, we discovered this property is far better in person than is shown online. The Residence offers the well-appointed comforts of a four-star hotel along with the short-walk convenience of the best restaurants and shops in Carbondale. The open kitchen, living, and dining area offer a stylish, but comfortable place to have meals, relax, and to gather throughout the day. The kitchen has everything you could need, although we did little cooking while we were there. The master bedroom and bath bordered on luxurious while the upstairs bedrooms and bath were more modest, but decorated with taste and style. Although the weather was a bit too cold to enjoy the back patio and cabana, we did take advantage of the hot tub. The Residence is well constructed. The owners went for exceptional quality and didn't cut corners when building this vacation home, and it's evident throughout. We felt we had found the perfect place for us in Carbondale so we will be back.

I hate to give this property a five star review because it may not be available for the next time I want to rent it!!! Truly fabulous place. The attention to detail surpasses any rental I have stayed in. The minute my friends and I walked in, we felt at home! Thank you Marti and Chuck for creating a warm, inviting place!!

Wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay. Your home was the perfect place to host our out of town guests who stayed at a local hotel but needed a place to gather before and after scheduled wedding related events. Your home is very comfortable and inviting with plenty of space and an open feel, especially when we were able to hang out in the very charming yard and watch a football game in the lower level. You did a great job designing and furnishing your home. We really appreciate your willingness to share it with us as we hosted a very special event for our daughter and her new family.

Very lovely

  • 5 of 5

We enjoy visiting Carbondale CO which is a very friendly and diverse town of excellent restaurants and shops. Because of our extended stay we decided to rent the Residence. We were so pleased with the accommodations we can’t wait to return.

The home is a short walking distance from the downtown area. If you wish, you can use one the complimentary bicycles at the Residence for a nice bike ride to downtown. The home is beautifully designed, a blend of contemporary and southwest architectures. There are plenty of windows that brighten the home and allow a full view of the stunning back garden. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with a mixture of flowers, herbs, vegetables woven within the hardscapes. This truly an oasis of flowers with the large number of birds which frequent the back yard.

The interior is well decorated and appointed with many modern conveniences. The furnishings are attractive with comfort in mind. Marti and Chuck were wonderful to work with and available if we ever had any questions. We look forward to a return trip.
