About Tammy Graham/John Graham

We are from Saskatchewan, Canada on the cold prairies, where we grain and cattle farm. In addition we also operate an outfitting business for big game hunting and fishing in Northern Saskatchewan. Over the last several years we have escaped the extreme winter months to the Big Island of Hawaii. We found a hidden gem on this Island. After purchasing a lot in 2011, we completed building our beautiful family home in 2014. Miloli'i is truly a peaceful getaway from all the hustle & bustle in life, and the people who live there are even more special helping us make our dream vacation home a reality.

Tammy Graham/John Graham purchased this house in 2012

Why Tammy Graham/John Graham chose Kona Coast

This property is newly built and likely has one of the most amazing views from its Lanai because it is a 2 story house. The home boasts beautiful open beam ceilings throughout and has a very modern decor, perfect for entertaining and enjoyment!!

A beautiful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Oh how I wished we had booked for longer! Waking up every morning to coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean was just the antidote to a long Montana winter! The house was immaculate and comfortable. Here's some intel for new guests: the kitchen has a toaster, blender, coffee maker (no filters necessary), margarita maker, and plenty of pots/pans/dishes/utensils, etc. The homeowner provides plenty of big bottles of water, but be sure to pick up a flat or two of small bottles to have for day trips. If you go to the black sand beach nearby, wear decent shoes...the path to the beach is an adventure! Take bug spray...the mosquitoes are quite friendly when the wind is not blowing. In Kona, don't bother going to the Walmart for groceries...the Safeway is MUCH better (they are pretty much right next to each other.) Also while in Kona, check out the Kona Brewery for lunch...delicious! To all you future guests, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Vacations are like a box of chocolate

  • 4 of 5

Sometimes you get a nut stuck in your teeth. This vacation home was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is in the quiet little town of Milolii and so close to the shore you can relax to the crashing surf on the shore. The "nut" was going without water for a few days. It was an odd occurrence and Tammy and her Dad did a great job of getting the pump fixed but remember, you are a LONG way from shops and stuff so be prepared should something happen.

The good:

A great retreat. We actually watched 12 whale breaches from the lanai within 5 minutes and then watched the whales move north up the coast, Wondrous! The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The home is nicely decorated and furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and well organized.

What was missing?

Air conditioning, a problem for our daughters but not for us. The nearest sandy beach is about a mile. Be sure to have soap and sunscreen. If you can't be without it, check with Tammy to see if it is stocked or bring it with you.

Be careful:

It is very dark at night and the roads are hard for older eyeballs to see. The road down the hill is very winding so go slow.

Overall this was a very nice stay and we would stay again

Beautiful home-away-from-home in secluded Milolii.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week as a family of 4 adults. This house is not only beautifully and fully appointed but is also far away from the touristy town of Kailua-Kona, a fact that pleased us very much. We have visited the Big Island many times - and it remains our favorite - but had never ventured down the road to Milolii, with its beautiful beach parks. We loved sitting on the large lanai from our morning coffee to our evening meal, and then watching the stars come out in abundance. The home itself is roomy and fully equipped and we were able to have a full holiday dinner and lack for nothing in preparing it - from barbecue to potato masher - and happily slid the dirty dishes into the dishwasher afterward. All of the home's amenities were a delight but the master ensuite bathroom was especially appreciated, with its large beautiful walkin shower. Tammy was a joy to work with, quick to confirm, very prompt with move in instructions, and a follow up message to make sure we were settled in. This home is even better than advertised and we highly recommend it to others.

Clean, comfortable home, spacious, great windows and views.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful modern home full of light and views. Great balcony to eat meals while looking at the sea. Well located for day- or half-day trips to beautiful beaches. Quiet, off the beaten path. A bit far from market. The new full kitchen needed a few items like a sieve, bread pans and cake pans, but otherwise very well equipped. 3rd bed needs a blanket in the winter.

New construction, well appointed. Definitely off the beaten track with a long twisty road leading down to the development. We were lucky enough to find this house, the owners took a chance on us as we have two animals and we will be forever grateful to them for doing so. We were in need of a rental while our own home was being constructed and this was a great find! Beautiful sunsets and a great place to walk!

Beautiful, Quiet Home

  • 5 of 5

Tammy was a wonderful host, and her house is beautiful. Everything about our stay was great. We loved the small village (though, it is only houses, no stores or gas stations), and have recommended it to all of our friends. The beach near by was perfect, we were the only ones on the beach some of the time and there were spinner dolphins jumping in the cove. If you like off the beaten path and quiet, this is the house for you. If we ever go back to the Big Island, we'll definitely stay here.
