About Joanne and Fred Westcott
This house is our home. We have worked hard to make this an amazing place to spend your holiday and we want to share it. Our home is special to us and we hope you will enjoy it too. We are a family of 5 and we purchased this home so we can make long lasting family memories to come. We enjoy spending time here every summer and Christmas, or whenever we have a chance. We often invite family and friends to join us on these wonderful and memorable trips.
Joanne and Fred Westcott purchased this House in 2013
Why Joanne and Fred Westcott chose Penticton
Why? LOCATION! Its close to everything and we absolutely love to wake up and enjoy the beautiful Lake Okanagan. Our kids can safely walk to all the local attractions, amenities, restaurants and shops close-by without having us drive them anywhere.
What makes this House unique
Our home is unique because of its location and we love the flat roof mid-century house style. We recently discovered the house won a design award when it was originally built. There is a beautiful large maple tree in the backyard, a perfect shady spot to relax and read a book.

Fantastic home and location!
The house is modern, clean, bright and nicely equipped with everything we needed. The location was wonderful... beautiful view of the lake and mountains, yet an easy walk to activities. I highly recommend this home!
The property is beautiful, very well equipped, with everything you need for a stay. The location is excellent, right across from the beach, and an easy short walk into town. The owners were excellent to deal with and got back to us to answer questions very quickly.
My favorite Homeaway rental ever!
Just returned from renting the Westcott's home (and their attached duplex) with five other couples while we were in town for a friend's wedding. The location was absolutely amazing. Breathtaking views and close to everything. And the home itself had every comfort--cozy beds with soft sheets, plenty of space and entertainment (TV cab, games) and something you don't find at a lot of rentals--hand soap, body wash, conditioner and laundry detergent! It's those little extras that made this my favorite Homeaway rental I've ever had. And I've already shared the listing with some friends who want to travel to this beautiful area next year!
Great property for a lakeside vacation.
Home location was absolutely perfect. Close to restaurants, special events such as Peach Festival, beach, highway access, playgrounds, stores. House had all basic amenities. Master bedroom awkward with the king size bed that was hard to get in and out of. BBQ not terribly clean but usable. Ample parking for guests. Property manager close by and very attentive and helpful.
Would definitely rent here again. Great stay-thank you!!
Perfect views, perfect location
We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeshore home. It was spacious for our family and the perfect location. Our son was just a minute to the hockey rink and my daughter and I could cross the street to enjoy the beach! We hope to stay again!
Very Satisfied With Our Stay
Perfect location and layout for 3 couples. Clean, lots of amenities, excellent view of the lake. Very happy with our stay, we will be returning.
Lake Okanagan (20 feet) - wake up early and go for an early morning swim or jog.
River Channel (10 mins walk) - our kids' favorite activity, best way to spend 2 hours just chilling on the channel.
Penticton Farmer's Market and downtown (3 mins walk)-pick-up fresh local produce every Saturday from May to October. Go for lunch at Brodo's (on Main St) or peruse through The Bookshop (new and used books, also on Main St).
Naramata Winery region and KVR trail (5 mins drive) - go for a bike ride, jog or hike on the KVR trail and reward yourself with a nice coffee and treat at the local artisan bakery and coffee spot, The Bench Market on Vancouver Ave. Our favorite activity is to bike from our house to the Little Tunnel - approx 1.5 hr bike ride up a steady incline. You'll wind through lush vineyards and the view is absolutely amazing. The bike ride back home is all downhill and we like to reward ourselves with a delicious lunch (and a glass of wine!) at Hillside Winery & Bistro which is located right on the bike trail.
We enjoy sitting at The 1775 Winery in Naramata. They have a large patio area with chairs, tables and umbrellas. Just purchase a bottle of wine and bring your own picnic goodies (baguette, cheese, fruit, etc). Its a spectacular setting there.
Penticton Lakeside Resort & Casino (2 mins walk) - there are a couple of great restaurants there
Penticton Convention Centre / Community Centre (5 mins drive)- go swimming or use the fitness centre year round.
If you like Indian or spicy food, we highly recommend Lachi on Main Street. We order take-out from there whenever we are in town, its a quick 5 mins drive from our home.
