Part and parcel of any holiday is the question of what to take home. Leather is very good value. The shoe shops stock up-to-date styles at very reasonable prices. Handbags, suitcases and jackets are a good bargain. Shoes and jackets, as well as men's suits and shirts, can be made-to-measure within a week or so. Handicrafts abound on every shopping street. A good spot to view them is the Cyprus Handicraft Centre in Lefkosia, with retail shops in every town. Small items of the distinctive, traditional pottery make good gifts as does Cyprus copperware and filigree silver. Always popular is the beautiful 'Lefkaritika' or ' Lefkara Lace'. Folkweave, needle and crochet work, woodwork and basketwork are a few more of the things visitors like to take home with them, not to mention Cyprus brandy which can be bought by the demijohn, Commandaria and even Halloumi - the Cyprus cheese.

Excellent well placed villa
My wife daughter and myself have just returned from a weeks stay in March 10th to 17th. The directions we were given to the villa were spot on. We were very lucky being early as the weather was excellent all week. I picked a car up at the airport for a bit of sightseeing but if you don't have a car the villa is very close to all amenities and there is an excellent bus service. The villa has everything you could need, we spent time in the pool and at least once a day in the hottub which was lovely. Excellent tv service and good wifi. We did a few visit whilst there down to the harbour which is nice. the Tomb of Kings a venture into Limassol and a drive up the troodos mountains. We went to restaurant a few times just a short walk Phidias Tavern I would highly recommend the food and hospitality from the owner. We did not see any owners at villa but I phoned Christine once and she answered straight away and was more than helpful. Thank you Christine fo a truly lovely weeks break.
Exquisite Home from Home
My husband and i have just returned from our Aug/Sept first trip to cyprus/wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 glorious days/nights at Villa 10 Paradise Gardens..
On arrival was just as described, loved the appointed amenties private pool/hotub and the privacy and seclusion it gave us in traquil surroundings.
The elevated but central position for sea views and the various choice of balconies to enjoy sunsets, with a refreshment stargazing and the nightly clear skys & views on the moon move around the pool truly spectacular..
We found a local restaurant nearby Feggari warm hospitality & specialising in local traditional Cypriot/greek cusine.
We utalised car hire for part of our stay, to explore further enjoying the coastal drives, via Atlas travel (mainstreet)Chosing day one SeaCaves, St George, beaches there to Lara Bay then up to Latchi/Polis. Day two Paphos, Pissouri coast to Episkopi and Akrotiri bay, Ladymile beach to Limassol.
The drives there are truly spectacular, and chance to explore further afield.
We managed to source a supermarket close by Philipos which provides more varied various food meat deli produce, refreshments ice etc and if you dont have car hire will also offer return with shop.
Special Thanks, to Christine for our booking and info prior to our arrival. Owners Mark & Michelle, for a Truly wonderful stay & son Chris & Sharon, whom we met whilst on there holiday :)x

Beautiful villa, very relaxing holiday
Superb, clean villa with all amenities, the nearest bar and restaurant is a five minute walk, the hot tub is a real treat, the villa is well looked after .There is also the bonus of terraces from both bedrooms to sit out at night and enjoy a glass of the local wine if you decide to stay in .Excellent large supermarket just off the main strip that sells everything . Fresh grilled prawns and Greek Kebabs on the BBQ around the pool when we couldn't be bothered to eat out, superb. A good selection of bars and places to eat on the strip, all in all, for our first time in Cyprus could not fault anything, we will return. Many thanks to Christine, we had a fabulous holiday.
Thank you so much for your lovely Review of our brilliant Villa at Coral Bay!,
Being so convenient for everything in this locality easy walk to shops, restaurants, bus stop, taxi ranks and of course the famous Coral Beach too.
Love the idea of the barbecue and prawns delicious!,
So pleased that you all had a relaxed Holiday and feeling refreshed once again on your return to U.K!,
Look forward to hearing from you all on your next visit to Paphos!!.......
We stayed at Villa Sunrise No.10. for 1 week. It was spotless, lovely decor, comfy beds, clean, bright and airy. The timed air/con was an excellent feature so you don't wake up with a dry throat. Pool and outside furniture all well kept and the gardens. The position of the hot tub is perfect. At 11 the sun is just over the palm tree to give it some shade. Bliss. Even the sunbeds were comfy as some of them can give me back ache. Didn't use the BBQ or cooker as I don't cook on holiday. It is a fully equiped kitchen, but the kettle, toaster and fridge were the most used.
There is a bit of stair climbing to do, so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who couldn't manage them. Another bonus is the drive, if you hire a car. Keeps it off road and under cover. A 10 min stroll will take you to the main strip where there's bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Did try to walk to the beach at the Ascos Beach Hotel once, but gave up, it was too hot. The balconies give you lovely views over the bay, relaxing after a shower with a bottle of fizz. The TV kept my hubby happy, the WiFi my daughter and the Hot Tub was mine.
Had a fabulous week. Thank you for letting us use your villa.

Holiday experience at the Paradise Villas
We spent 2 weeks this August at the Paradise Villas in Coral Bay and had a super time. We were a bit aprehensive as we have always stayed in hotels, but this was a different experience. It gave us freedom to do what we wanted, eat when we wanted and go where we wanted. We hired the owners car which was a good idea, as we could go to the supermarket and do our shopping and also pop into Paphos and in the heat it was very welcome as it had air conditioning. We were a little disappointed that the SKY tv that was advertised was only a couple of channels, but at the same time we didn't go on holiday to watch TV. The pool was wonderful, especially as when we were there it was 104 degrees - phew! There was a good selection of restaurants nearby in Coral Bay, we didn't have a bad meal all the time we were there. We didn't use the hot-tub as it was too hot. But sat on the balcony many evenings with a glass (or bottle) of local wine just looking at the lovely views. The villa is in a quiet location, but there is rather a steep hill to get to the shops and restaurants. It has all the facilities that is needed i.e. cooker, washing machine, microwave and even a dish washer. On the whole it was great and we will certainly go there again.

Lovely Relaxing Holiday - could not be faulted.
Spent a lovely fortnight at this villa - close enough to all amenities yet very peaceful location. Car is not necessary as good local bus service to Paphos but must be able to cope with a short walk up a steep hill. We were a little concerned as this is the first time that we had booked a villa direct on the Internet but you should not be worried - the booking process and the support network once you are out there could not be faulted. The Hot Tub and the 100 Euro Shopping Vouchers were appreciated as luxurious extras.
Being at the famous Coral Bay beach area and only 15 minutes drive from Paphos town and the famous harbour makes Paradise Sunset is the ideal location for a relaxed or fun filled beach holiday. There are several shops, banks, restaurants, snack bars, supermarkets and a medical centre just a 3 minute walk away, yet the villa is set in one of the quietest areas of Coral Bay. As evening falls the spectacular sunset from the Villas is not to be missed. There are many places of interest in and around Paphos a guide book can be found at your villa. Some of the most popular are the Troodos Mountains with its pine scented forests or closer to home the Paphos villages where time has stood still and friendly hospitality is the norm. The famous fishing harbour overlooked by the fortress where in the evening the tavernas that line the quayside come alive serving fresh fish and the traditional Cypriot 'Meze' is a 15 minute drive away. The market in Paphos' old town is worth searching out also.
Other Activities: Aphrodite Waterpark, Go Karting
