|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
ALOHA and welcome to our home at Luana Kai. Our unit is set apart from any other by the love we've put into it and the care we've taken to maintain it.
You can book with confidence when you stay in our condo, as we've been owners on Maui for 15 years and maintain personal contact with all of our guests.
Completely remodeled in 2012, our deluxe condo has tile floors throughout and new stainless steel appliances for your use. There are ceiling fans in every room and tropical decor as well. No pets allowed. The unit is non-smoking, which allows the scent of plumerias to waft through the open windows.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the conveniences you might want. From toaster to coffee maker, blender to rice cooker, we've tried to think of everything. It has a king-size bed in the large master bedroom with en suite bathroom. There are two twins in the second bedroom with an additional full bathroom. We have a queen sofa-sleeper with top of the line 7' mattress and overstuffed cushions.
The condo is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or several friends just wanting some relaxation.
Our 1075 square foot, ground floor unit has a garden and partial ocean view, with the ocean just beyond the grass. You can drive to sandy beaches in minutes or relax in the resort's pool and jacuzzi. The putting green, tennis courts, and shuffleboard are footsteps away. In the evening, try out the BBQ's, so you can enjoy your meal on the lanai while watching the sunset!
Pack light when you stay here, as we supply you with beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and umbrellas. We've also ensured that you will have all your paper goods and laundry soap for your entire trip.
We offer discounts for long-term rentals.
We purposely do not use the online calendar, so we can work with each guest in order to accommodate your flight times and vacation dates. Please contact us directly regarding availability.
**The complex is quiet, with palm trees, plumeria trees, and lush vegetation. It will remind you of 'Old Hawaii,' yet shopping and restaurants are just a short drive away. South Maui is the sunniest part of the Island, so come over, relax and enjoy our tropical island paradise!
WE'VE INSTALLED WiFi FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE ! ! !
We just recently stayed in this beautiful unit. We are a family of 5 and it worked out perfectly for us. We loved being on the ground floor for easy access to the pool and BBQ area. We used the outdoor BBQ eating area every day. The unit itself is very clean and spacious, well stocked. We also very much loved the central location of being in Kihei. We found it to be the best place to travel around from with access to so many beaches with 5-20 min around us. There are many cute restaurants, shops and cafes all close by as well. We would highly recommend this complex and especially this unit. Jill was super helpful in answering any questions we had about the unit or Hawaii in general. She was a gem. We can't wait to come again.
We rented this Condo in March ’11. The condo is great, complete with everything you need. A starting supply of soaps, garbage bags, and paper products is a big plus. Exactly as advertised but not all owners provide this, all the stuff you don’t want to buy on your first day of vacation.
Also, the Condo was well stocked with beach supplies. Sand toys, a cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels.
Complete with DVD player, VCR and some movies.
The grounds are beautiful. Large lawn, great for children. Nice pool area with grill. Grounds are on the ocean, perfect for sunsets.
This was our fourth time on Maui. We’ve never rented the same place twice and look forward to renting this condo again next time.
Finally, the owners are very nice and willing to provide restaurant advice and activities suggestions.
We stayed here for our first visit to Hawaii as we celebrated our 30th anniversary. The location was central to everything, yet incredibly quiet and relaxing. While we had planned to island hop a little during our two week stay, we ended up nixing that idea by the end of the first week. Staying in this place was truly like going home at night at the end of each day's activities.
The Condo: Everything was as described, and more. Beach gear (snorkeling stuff, boogie boards, chairs, umbrella and beach towels) in the closet for us to use. High speed internet let us keep in touch with our kids back home, and while the weather never dictated it, should we have been "rained-in" and wanted to watch movies, there were the set-ups for it plus a good little library of films. The bed was great, Extra pillows and blankets in both closets for all beds. The bathroom had sun-block, lotion, towels, a hair dryer--everything you could need. Paper supplies were laid in plentifully, as were kitchen storage bags, etc. Short of buying food you were good to go--plenty of spices and extras already here.
The pool was lovely, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The beach is a walk across a broad lawn, which in the evening is frequented by everyone who comes out to watch the sunset.
FOOD: We grilled chicken and fish on the pool gas grills and dined on our lanai. We ate at Fred's the night we got in, and will eat there the night we leave as well. (Mexican Food with a view of the sunset) Loved Cool Cats in Lahaina across from the giant banyan tree for a great burger, Lunch at Paia Fish Market is a bargain--had the Caesar Salad with a slab of rare Tuna on it--fantastically grilled. Poke from Safeway was our appetizer at home after we heard that the grocery stores have to have excellent poke (quality and freshness) as to not to lose their local customer base. Our two special meals were at Mama's Fish House for an exquisite dinner--the location is like a movie set. Pricey, but worth one visit. And the Hali'imaile General Store has amazing food--worth the money. But go for lunch when reservations aren't as necessary and prices a wee bit lower. I would suggest you try their Sashimi Napolean--split it as an appetizer. It's an event, and delicious.
DO: Hana Highway, Haleakala Sunrise (wear ALL your clothes, brrr) and Oheo Gulch.
It's a tradition on our last day of vacation to wander around and plan on where to stay next time. We'll do something else. We'll come back here for sure
Whale-watching, stand up paddling, outrigger canoes
