After visiting the Hostess City for a long weekend in 1998, he fell in love with it's beauty and charm and decided to make it his permanent home. As avid travelers, we have spent extended periods of time overseas and have been to some of the most exotic places on the planet, so we have a unique perspective on hospitality. One of the reasons we purchased this property was because we absolutely love hosting guests and enjoy introducing others to our fascinating hometown. We strive to provide our guests with the same discriminating level of accommodations and experience that we expect when we travel. We chose to purchase this property because of it's ideal location and it's true-to-Savannah charm. Jones Street has long been considered one of the most exclusive addresses in town. Very few streets in America offer such character. When the opportunity to own a piece of such storied history presented itself, we couldn't resist.
What makes this Condo unique
While there are many nice vacation properties available in Savannah, many of them offer nothing unique. Because so many properties are in recently finished loft spaces or in newly constructed complexes, they are no different than thousands of other condos in any city in America. Folks come to Savannah for its unique history. Why would you come to a place for its charm and character but stay in a property that lacks it? And don't forget about location. Stay too far down town and you'll end up battling unbearable noise and impossible parking. Stay too far South and you'll be inconvenient to shops and restaurants. Jones Gem offers the best of both worlds - a leisurely 10 minute walk through beautiful squares to either end of the historic district but with the peace and quiet of an upscale residential area. Comfort and style at its best
The property was superb in every way. Location ideal. Never had to move the car. Mother and daughters weekend away. Comfortable and clean. Each room perfect. The only problem we encountered was during this hot humid weekend we had trouble locking the back porch after sitting outside due to the humidity. Would recommend Michaels gem as the perfect home away from home. I doubt you could find better. The big problem was having to leave. Truly a stunning home.
This was a beautiful place to stay for 4 girls for 4th of July weekend. The home is in the perfect location on a picturesque street close to everything in the historic district. The property manager was great, even answering my questions immediately while on his honeymoon. We loved the home and would definetely stay again if back in the area.
Our family of 6, 4 teens, enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was perfect for our entire stay. There’s a stop across the street for the free fare trolley ride that provides transportation to the popular historic district locations until late in the night. Accommodations were perfect and up to date. The amount of space was more than enough that not once were we cramped. We would definitely stay here again.
We were stunned with the beauty of Savannah and our beautiful apartment! Everything was thought out to the tiniest detail. I would recommend staying here and hopefully I’ll be able to come back soon! Five star rating!!!’

Michael and his family’s rental is superb! The location is second to none. We took all of the restaurant advise and loved all of them. Highly recommend.
Perfect in every way!
Everything was just perfect here! The listing portrayed the rental brilliantly and my family of 4 was more than at home here.
Be careful when selecting a location! Many properties tout their location as being ideal. However, if you are staying close to the City Market, River St or Broughton St areas (north), you will likely have late night noise, young partygoer crowds and parking difficulties (even if you are offered a free space, it will likely be blocks away from your property in a city garage). If you stay near Forsyth Park and the Victorian District (south), you will have a long walk to the areas above and will be very close to the 'transitional' areas of Savannah. Jones Gem is situated perfectly in between the two, offering the peace and quiet of an upscale residential area but within a 10 minute walk of both ends of the historic district. Compare our location to other properties using the 'location' tab or map. You won't find a more centrally located property. Be wary of properties that don't show their location.
