Charleston House Rental Photos and Description

Luxurious 2-BR, 2-1/2 Bath House In Pristine Condition

** Please check out our Sarah Clifford Cottage, VRBO#595744**

The historic Sarah Clifford Guest House is located within Charleston's downtown historic district and has been transformed into a luxurious 2000 sq. ft. home with high end modern conveniences without losing its historic character. Light-filled, uncluttered and clean, the Sarah Clifford Guest House is the perfect place for a peaceful, private retreat within just a few blocks of the best restaurants, performance venues, historic homes, museums and shopping in downtown Charleston.

Four guests (our maximum) will find lots of space to enjoy time together (or reading off by oneself) on the first floor of the Guest House. There is a large living room with a flat screen TV, a sunroom, an outdoor patio and a cozy study that also has a large flat screen TV. Along with a beautiful chef's kitchen, a powder room is located on the first floor.

The second floor has two private bedrooms, each with its own private bath. The master bedroom has a King bed, a flat screen TV and an adjoining private master bath with a large walk-in shower and double sinks. The second bedroom, at the opposite end of the house, has a Queen sized bed and an adjoining private bathroom with a tub/shower and double sinks.

Simply Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in the Sarah Clifford Guest House. This property is truly an ideal location in which to spend time in Charleston. The guest house is simply beautiful, with an outstanding design, state of the art appointments, and a warm feel. The internet pictures do not do it justice. The attention to detail amazed us. The kitchen is perfect for even a master chef. The owners spared no expense in making their place something truly special. The bedrooms were roomy, beautifully furnished with comfortable beds. The master bath is spectacular. The owners, Ann and Fred Willis, are very friendly and gracious hosts and will assure that your needs are met during your stay. We can't complement them enough for their wonderful hospitality! They gave us multiple suggestions and recommendations for restaurants, activities and attractions that were perfect for us. We cannot wait to go back!!

Lovely house great location.

  • 5 of 5

Sarah Clifford Guest House combined the perfect location, space, privacy, and amenities. The Guest House was equipped with all essentials plus additional items exceeding any previous rental we have stayed in over the past 10 years. We would meet in the kitchen every morning to discuss the days possibilities and every evening outside on the brick patio surrounded by lovely smelling jasmine providing a perfect spot for cocktails before setting out again for dinner. The living room was comfortable allowing room for all four of us to spread out and put our feet up before heading up to super comfortable beds.

Fred was very kind offering his assistance in exploring the surrounding areas for potential retirement options. We will be returning to Charleston to continue our quest and the Guest House will be the first place to check for availability. Thank you for a memorable exploration of Charleston.

The Sarah Clifford Guest House Exceeds The Most Discriminating Tastes

  • 5 of 5

Being a graduate of The Citadel, I have made many return visits to Charleston over the last 50 years. Never have I had accommodations to match the Sarah Clifford Guest House. Special mention needs to be made of the building materials, furnishings and room size. No expense has been spared in planning, reconstruction, landscaping and maintenance. Even the appliances and other fixtures are first quality. The location furnishes easy access to Charleston's "must see" attractions and restaurants. Last, but certainly not least, is the on-site management's attention to every detail within and without the Guest House.

My wife and I were accompanied by long-time friends from Dallas who had never been to Charleston before. They were blown away by the Guest House. Needless to say, I have and will continue to recommend the Guest House to our friends in Atlanta and elsewhere.
