We met at Gemology school in San Diego, CA and found that we not only fell in love but shared the same passions for life. We chose to be jewelers by trade but we are designers by passion. We settled down in the Santa Barbara area and began to raise our two boys Ozzy and Cash. Being on an eternal search for the perfect place to live we just had not found it yet. Eric, born and raised in Mississippi and I in Idaho, Eric often spoke of this magical town in Tennessee called Leiper's Fork that he had visited as a teenager. We finally came for vacation July 4th, 2014 and I promptly fell head over heals in love! We were sitting out front of Puckett's drinking Ne-Hi soda watching our boys faces light up with joy as they chased the fireflies. Leiper's Fork chose us in that moment. Without delay we purchased our home on Joseph, now the Tin Roof Cottage, returned to Santa Barbara and moved here 20 days later. We never looked back, we now reside just 1 mile away from the Cottage. We are currently raising our boys in this marvelous community and we welcome you with open hearts. Warmly, Eric, Samantha, Ozzy and Cash
Samantha purchased this cottage in 2013
This home chose us, it provided us with a wonderful opportunity to raise our family in this great community. It was a stepping stone to what was to come, we had no idea that we would fall so in love with this town and the people that call it home. This was our first home in TN as a family and therefore this house is very special to us. We now own three vacation rentals on this street, as it has stolen our hearts and we know it will take a piece of yours too.
Tin Roof Cottage provides you with a unique opportunity to become immersed in a Norman Rockwell painting that has come to life. You will love getting lost in this great community but still have easy access to the city of Nashville and downtown Franklin.
Tin Roof is a delight to stay in. We enjoyed the uniqueness and the location
It is an easy walk to the village of Liepers Fork and the house is very spacious.
We enjoyed having such a delightful home to come home to after a busy day.
The property was beautiful and well maintained. The area is charming. I would definitely return to this area and home. We had an issue and forgot something in the house, Samantha called back immediately and we were able to re-enter to retrieve the item. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!
We enjoyed our stay! Tim Roof is adorable! The owner Samantha is one of the nicest people and so easy to work with. She has thought of everything a guest needs and provides the perfect set up for a relaxing, fun time away from home.
This property is amazing!! If you want to go to a beautiful, quaint area and feel like your home in a gorgeous home...please stay at a Pot 'n Kettle cottage. The owner is hands on and available for anything you need. The house has EVERYTHING you could ever need. They haven't forgotten a thing. The bedding is amazing...the decor is superb. I've rented many times on VRBO and this is a must return location.
Perfect if you're looking for a clean, quiet place away from the city. Samantha has thought of almost everything in putting together this house, and there are so many small touches that make Tin Roof Cottage an ideal getaway that feels both lived in yet also easy to make into a home away from home for a short time. We used the house as a makeshift location for a writing retreat, and there was plenty of space for six adults to spread out, create their own work areas, and move around without disrupting anyone else too much throughout the day. While the bathroom doors could benefit from the simple addition of something like a hook latch, the house as a whole was perfect for the way we were using it, and we all seemed to love congregating in the kitchen in the morning and around the porch swing at night. The small issues we had were immediately attended to, and Samantha remained in contact (from a distance) just in case. Amazing! We definitely hope to return next year!
I travel quite a bit, and have spent a lot of time in Tennessee, but this place was quite surprising. I have never stayed in a place that felt so homey, a lot of places can say they have that feeling, but you really get it here. Not only that, that manual in the kitchen when you arrive really explains the answer to every question you would have during your stay. So I give this place a HUGE thumbs up!!!
If you're looking for something unique, you've come to the right place. From 200-year-old antiques to fine art to one-of-a-kind people, Leiper's Fork is a rare find for visitors and locals alike. This is a magical place that once visited you may not want to ever leave. Take a stroll through the village and you will marvel and the fantastic shops that are at your doorstep. Puckett's offers live music almost every night, don't forget that scoop of ice-cream on the hot summer day. The Natches trace is just a few miles down the road, calling for a lazy drive.
