My family had a sensational stay in this gracious, large home in a beautiful part of the Berkshires. The home was large enough to accommodate three generations--grandma, three sets of parents, and two babies--comfortably. There were extra toys and games around for hanging out inside, and there was plenty of couch space for everyone to hang out and visit. But the most marvelous part of our stay was that we could set out on a hike from the driveway and find ourselves tromping through woods and discovering an old cemetery. The owners had thought of everything we might need, and we had a fabulous time.
So glad you had a great time!
New Years in Monterey
We had a fabulous time at this beautifully situated home in the Berkshires. The house was very well equipped and very clean upon arrival. We used the wood stove daily and had the absolute best family time together. There are plenty of things to do nearby and lots of great places to eat. We hope to return again in the warmer weather or perhaps again for a winter wonderland.
Spacious and comfortable Berkshire home
We enjoyed a sisters' weekend at this beautiful house in the woods. There were plenty of bedrooms with comfortable beds, lots of places for relaxing, and a well-appointed kitchen that allowed us to make meals during our stay. We also enjoyed a dinner out in Great Barrington, which was not far away. Although the weather was cold and blustery, we stayed warm in this house and even had the use of the wood stove. We loved being able to walk on trails right outside the door. The owner is very responsive, and we had a great stay. We would love to return during the summer and spend time on the screened porch and visit the nearby lakes.
Beautiful house and surrounding area.
Everything was great and just as specified. Spacious house, large yard, and a very relaxing environment.
Cozy winter weekend with friends
We spent 3 nights with a couple of families at this warm, cozy and comfortable Berkshire home. We had plenty of room for all - the kids took over the downstairs level and the adults played cards, made meals, and cozied up to the fire on the main floor.
There was snow but the driveway was plowed and ready for us. The house is close to Butternut and Otis Ridge which is where spent our days skiiing and tubing. Great Barrington is so close too but we were happy to hang back at the house.
Everything went smoothly from booking, to the instructions Richard sent, to getting around.
Monterey is a little beyond the Berkshires beaten track but its worth it - perfect for family and friends. Great rental - hope to come back again!
We enjoyed a warm and cozy Christmas weekend in this lovely property. The house was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had all we needed to make wonderful meals. Thank you Richard for making everything so easy for us!
