Why Danielle Alexander chose Sonoma County

We love the wine country. It is a happy place and we look forward to meeting new people and helping them enjoy their vacations in our paradise.

What makes this lodge unique

Resort Living all to yourself. We have everything a resort would have (pool, jacuzzi, waterfall, tiki bar, 54 private acres, beautiful views, amazing chef, babysitting service, wine tours, hiking and vineyard tours). We try to provide all the comforts of home and even toys for the kids.

Guestbook comments from the owner

As when booking or buying anything off the computer, we questioned what we were actually getting ourselves into. It turns out, that this was one of the best vacations I have ever had, thanks to our host Danielle. The hospitality along with the accommodations rates much higher then the available 5 stars! I would highly recommend getting the inside details from Danielle on the local wineries. Hope to return back to the Alexander Valley Lodge.

Bachelorette weekend at Alexander Valley Lodge

  • 5 of 5

From the house's spacious accommodations to Danielle's assistance with setting up a driver for both days of wine tasting (plus water and chocolate in the van!) to suggestions for in-town and catered-in dining, this was truly a retreat. We were able to comfortably fit 12 women and make the bride-to-be feel special and celebrated.

Perfect fit for our family

  • 5 of 5

What can I say? This lodge exceeded my expectations. It not only

Accommodated my huge family but it had more space than I thought. There was every amenity you could need and Danielle could not have been more

Gracious. The pool and hot tub kept my nephews entertained for hours. The views from the patio and bedrooms

Were fantastic. We came to geyserville for our daughters wedding. This was our home away from home. Comfortable. Picturesque. Large. Close to the venue. The restaurants in town were fabulous. Everyone loved this place. I hope to return one day.

Everything we Wanted

  • 5 of 5

Had a great girls weekend get away at Alexander Valley Lodge. Nine of us went to celebrate a couple of 60th birthdays and to do some wine tasting. The house was just as described, plenty of room for our group, a well appointed kitchen (we cooked all our own meals, so this was a very nice amenity), comfortable beds (always a good sign). The weather was a bit gloomy but that didn't slow us down much. Spent a good amount of time hanging out around the large dining room table enjoying the view during the day, cozy candlelight at night. The passenger van was a great perk, so nice to be shuttled around and not have to worry about driving our large group around. Jeff was an excellent guide. Hot tub in the rain was lovely! Looking forward to the next occasion to visit AVL!!!

The Perfect Home for our group

  • 5 of 5

We were group of 8 retirees from St. Augustine, Fl who went to Sonoma county for three days of wine tasting. We chose this home because it was located in a nice area and a suitable location for our group.. We found the home to be everything as advertised. The bedrooms were well appointed and suited our needs. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi as the weather was warm. We especially like the large dining room table so we could all eat together. The outdoor pool area was a great gathering place after a day of wine tasting. Danielle was very helpful and offered lots of good suggestions. We would recommend Alexander Valley Lodge for those looking for a great group home.

The lodge was fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

We had a family wedding to attend and were looking for a location that could accommodate from 9 to 11 people instead of getting a bunch of hotel rooms. The Alexander Valley Lodge fit the bill perfectly. The 6 days we were there just flew by.

The lodge is spread out on various levels with views looking over the valley, amazing.

It's a very comfortable home, we were very happy with our choice.

The lodge was as described in the website and it was neat and clean.

If you are a large family or group of friends looking to go up to wine country for whatever reason do take a look at the Alexander Valley Lodge for your stay you will love it and not want to go home.

We had a wonderful time at the Alexander Valley lodge!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our 60th birthdays, in mid March, at the lodge with a small group of friends. We had the largest room on the third level and it was huge, with a romantic four poster bed and amazing view of the valley. Atleast 4 rooms had king sized beds and adjoining bathrooms. This house is made for parties! The hubbies smoked cigars by the jacuzzi and played poker while the wives blasted music in the split level living room and danced the night away. Saturday morning Danielle arranged a driver and bus to take us to several wineries with some private tastings. Silver oak, Cast and Fritz were amazing and educational! Loved it! Early dinner was at Coppola the "Rustic" restaurant. Again, the food and service was beyond exceptional. On Sunday the chef Martin Courtman came to the house to cook dinner for us. The food and presentation was incredible. Crab cakes, pumpkin, curry soup, walnut pear salad, succulent spareribs, halibut in a butter sauce and fruit crepes and chocolate torte for dessert. It didn't matter that it rained almost the whole time. We sat in the steamy jacuzzi and swam in the cold and invigorating pool anyway. Great friends, good wine, amazing food and people that take pride in renting out a home for the rest of us to enjoy! Before I close the only down side is don't try to drive the winding mountain road at night. It's one lane and sort of precarious in the dark. Great stay, looking forward to going back! Dianne and John
