Steps From The Beach, Make Family Memories In Our 4 Bedroom House!
Make great family memories at our sunny, contemporary Broadkill Beach home near Lewes and Rehoboth, just steps from the beach. Go back in time. Broadkill is pristine, private, and next to the Prime Hook Nature Preserve. Golf nearby too!
Explore the area on our 4 adult and 2 child bikes (bring your helmets). Relax and enjoy our beach chairs, toys and umbrellas! Try your hand at stand up paddleboarding. Check out the sandbar at low tide and the bunches of tiny hermit crabs. At night by flashlight, low tide is a whole other experience! Make S'mores on the beach at night. Bring your fishing gear and grill your catch or simple fare on our large front deck using our electric grill. Our kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, including a new stove, crock pot for easy meals, and a blender for smoothies! Just bring your fresh ingredients, linens, and paper products. There are great restaurants, free Wednesday night summer concerts in the park and antiquing in the cute town of Milton as well as inviting churches on Sunday morning. A little further afield, explore the lavendar farm, in full bloom in July, and lots of great shopping outlets.
Play games on our screened-in back porch. Rent a kayak or at the Broadkill Store and launch it at the beach or in the calm preserve waters for great bird and nature watching. Tour the eclectic, fun Dogfishhead Brewery and sample their brews including root beer for kids and the young at heart. Memories made here!
We are pet friendly for well-behaved, well-supervised pets. Our beach is pet friendly and also allows residents and guests to pull their vehicle right up to the water to launch their small craft, but you'd never guess it from how clean and peaceful it is! Sleep soundly in comfortable, new queen beds, comfortable full bed, and twin bunks with trundle. Rinse off in our fresh, new outdoor shower or in one of the 2 full baths. We live in Allentown, Pa with our two children who are 13 and 17. They are so busy with sports and activities that we can't bliss out at the beach as much as we'd like. That's why we want to share our home with you.
Pat purchased this House in 2013
Why Pat chose Broadkill Beach
We love the beach! A friend at work also owns a place here and found this home for us. Once we saw it, we couldn't resist making Broadkill Beach our Destination Getaway. This is our dream beach house for the next chapter of our lives when our kids go off to school!
What makes this House unique
We love the proximity to the sand, contemporary feel, all the windows, the fireplace, and the fish over the fireplace. There's a view of the beach from the deck, and the house is very roomy. This is a very comfortable home for families and entertaining good friends. We have two kids and my best friend has two kids. Our two families are very comfortable at Bliss!

We had a great time here between Christmas and New Years. We were looking for a location close to the beach (you are two houses away) - there's even a bit of a water view; with a fire place and a sunset view. We also needed family and pet friendly. The house is also really clean - very important! This house checked all of those boxes. The house is well equipped and the owners were super responsive. The location is nice and quiet in a beach type community. We really enjoyed exploring Lewes and the many dining options. We would come again as there was a lot more to do than we had time for! Thank you Pat!
We are so happy that you had a fun family holiday at Delaware Beach Bliss!
We were just there this weekend and slept in the room with the window on the water...didn't even have to get out of bed to see the sunrise on the sand and water, quite a spectacle! And every time we walk the beach we see something new and beautiful like the snow geese or a snow owl or both.
We love sharing our home with families like yours, and would welcome you back anytime! Sincerely, Pat
Bright and close to beach, but some drawbacks in the details
As others have mentioned, windows dominate in the common areas, so even on a rainy day those areas are cheerful. While the beach is close, it is on the Delaware Bay, so the waves lap the beach — some may miss the crashing surf of a true ocean beach.
Both bathrooms are of the hallway variety; a true master w bath also may be missed. The fourth bedroom, not pictured, has a kids’ bunkbed and a mattress that slides out on the floor from under the bed. There’s a couch, where one can watch a movie on the television, as the room doubles as a “family room.”
Interested in a bike ride our first day, we were sorry to find that three of the bikes were unusable. We also discovered that the one bedroom with a bit of a water view had a blind that didn’t stay up. A text to the owner yielded a swift enough reply that her handyman would come in two days, and we were offered the chance to go to another house in the family a mile away to try the bikes there. The handyman did come two days later as promised, fixing the bikes (a little too late for us) and not the blind.
Our first morning we awoke to 59 degrees in the house. The HVAC is controlled remotely by the owners in PA, so we sent a text at 7 am asking for heat. Ninety minutes or so later we received a reply that the temp had been raised. Still later we received word that the manual feature had been activated and we could henceforth adjust the temp ourselves.
No one developed hypothermia, of course, and we easily found alternatives to biking. That no apology was issued at any point for the shortcomings was as disappointing as the inconveniences.
What a beautiful home in such a beautiful area! I can't wait to return!
Warm family memories are what Delaware Beach Bliss is all about!!
Welcome back anytime, Pat
Great house, perfect for a New Years getaway
Loved this super cozy house right by the beach. Was perfect for our three families with kids ranging in age from 2-11 and a dog. Great place to relax for a few days with friends.
We are glad that you had a relaxing and fun New Year's celebration!
We finally got out there ourselves this weekend and indeed, it is so very relaxing , cozy and easy. There was a lot of sleeping, walks on the beach where the beautiful snow geese blanketed the surf!
We welcome you back any time and hope that you consider us for future travels.
Great space, thoughtful hosts
We had a fabulous time. The house is spacious and bright and in a great location. The hosts were kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location and beach area
We had a great time and enjoyed the amenities that were there. The beach was a short walk with plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas, water toys, paddle boards etc. The house was clean and had lots of windows so it was very bright and cheery.
The whole area of Delaware beaches are amazing. Loved the board walk and downtown of Rehoboth Beach.
So happy that you enjoyed your time at Bliss! We love it every season, and it's extra fun when you get a taste of summer in the fall!
Home of the eclectic Dogfishhead Brewery, Lavender Farm blooming in July, Antiquing, Music at the Park in Milton every Wed night in Summer and great restaurants.
