About Joyce Van Dyk
My husband and I are both retired, Dick was an electrical engineer for Delphi and Joyce a pastor/hospital chaplain. We have children living on the west and east coast, along with our grandchildren. They always come home during the 4th of July to spend time at our family cottage.
Joyce Van Dyk purchased this Cottage in 1984
Why Joyce Van Dyk chose Ottawa Beach
I am from Holland. My parents owned this property. It burned 33 years ago and when we inherited it with my siblings, we completely rebuilt the cottage. The Beach area has special meaning to us and so we decided to rebuild and are happy we did!
What makes this Cottage unique
You will love that Mt. Pisgah is in the back yard and the view from it are outstanding! Overlooking Lake Michigan on one side and Lake Mac on the other, is absolutely stunning! I love the friendly walks down the boardwalk to the beach! The friendly people and a scenic walk to the beach is a little piece of heaven!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Nice place with walking access to beaches, eats and all nearby.
Nice clean place with good beds. The deck is shaded most of the day. The owner was there when we arrived and also when we left. He is very friendly and helpful. The street is quiet, yet very close to all of the local amenities.
Wonderful, a great location!
Just a short walk to Lake Michigan. Nice fire pit and deck.
This cottage is in a great location and included everthing needed to make our week comfortable. We were very pleased with the location which was close to everything, but yet peaceful and quiet. Access to beaches , canoe or kayak rental, bike trails, walking by the lake shore, and all that holland has to offer was a breeze. The cottage has comfortable furniture/bedding and the kitchen is well stiocked with nice quality appliances , cookware, and dishes. We were pleased with the rental and the owners were easy to work with.
We spent a week here and had a great time. It was a nice walk to the lake. Great outdoor space for my nephew to run around and a short cut to Mt. Pisgah.
Great place to stay
House is perfect for a family with children and grandparents to share. Plenty of room and fantastic location. We had a great week there. The deck was roomy with plenty of seating available and shady in the evening. Within walking distance of beaches, general store, and trails.
We had a great time! Lake Michigan was a 15 min walk to a private beach. Lake Macatawa was a 5 min walk to a roadside beach. Mt Pisgah was in the backyard. We took our kayaks on Lake Makatawa. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed.
