Sun City Shadow Hills is an active over 55 community with a Championship Golf Course, an Executive golf course, driving range, an l8 hole putting course, an indoor heated lap pool and spa, 2 outdoor pools and spas, tennis courts, pickleball courts, Bocce Ball, and Shuffleboard courts. One tenant is required to be 55 years old or better.
There are two Community Centers, the Montecito and the Santa Rosa. We are across the road from the Santa Rosa clubhouse. Just walk there! Each has a state of the art gym, and an indoor walking track in the Santa Rosa. There is a large ballroom and many rooms to accommodate more than 45 active clubs – something for everyone! There is a wonderful library at the Montecito clubhouse, also Pool tables. Among the many activities are classes for Yoga, Zumba, Stretch, Cardio, Thera-Band, Pilates, Aqua Fitness, Line Dancing, Tap Dancing etc. etc. The clubs include music, choir, opera, writing, computer classes, games, Bingo, variety shows.... and too many to mention!

We bought this when it was "a hole in the ground". We were able to choose this great location at that time, having the beautiful golf course view with the added bonus of the lake. it is situated on the tee so that stray golf balls should not come into the yard! We have often see the elegant Egrets around the lake, and at one time counted l7 of them, including the babies - what a view!
What makes this House unique
So many benefits and amenities here! We chose Shadow Hills for those reasons......the clubhouses, the many, many clubs, the pools (including the indoor one), tennis and pickle ball courts, the golf, the convenience of the freeways and the shopping. A recent addition was the huge Walmart, but you also have Winco, Tesco and Costco, along with many restaurants (one on site), and of course..... the casinos! This place and in particular, THIS HOUSE, is a wonderful getaway vacation spot!

We have spent the winters in Sun City for 7 years. This year was one of the best. We enjoyed the home. It is conveniently located on a quiet street not far from the Santa Rosa Clubhouse.
It is great to wake up to golf course and mountain views every morning. The Roadrunners are entertaining and the water feature across the way always has an abundance of wildlife.
The home is adequately furnished and we had an enjoyable winter in the Sun. The landlord was cooperative when there were minor issues and dealt with them expediently. We can recommend this property. John and Nancy K.

Your comments are the reason we bought there in the first place (when it was only "a hole in the ground") was the very reasons you give....great view over the golf course and mountains, the wildlife on the lake ( I once watched a whole family of Egrets living there) and spectacular sunsets!

Shadow Hills Perfect Getaway
Super place to stay. Very comfortable, well-equipped, beautifully furnished and decorated. Modern, open-concept gives a wide view of the 13th tee (from safely behind it) and the small lake from kitchen, living room, dining room, and master bedroom. The covered patio provides an enjoyable setting for morning coffee, evening wine, and outdoor dining. We loved watching the variety of birds, roadrunners, cottontail bunnies at the lake and around the golf course.
We stayed 6 months and enjoyed access to the club facilities—gym, golf, clubhouses—and interest groups. No shortage of things to do locally, including ‘flea markets’ and theater.
Shopping was very close: grocery stores, drug stores, Target, Walmart, even Costco. But all types of specialty shops and restaurants are close by and rival those available in metropolitan centers on the coast.
Can give this location and the landlords A+ rating.
We really appreciate this wonderful review. Whoever stays at our home mentions the same things...... right on the golf course, lake and mountain views, the comfort of the amenities, the accessibility of surrounding stores and restaurants etc., not forgetting the access to the Santa Rosa Clubhouse with its great gym, pool,cafe, walking track (so essential on hot summer days) etc. etc. Not forgetting, of course, the wildlife seen around the lake for easy viewing from our fenced backyard with fruit trees etc.
We are very responsive Landlords and only wish the very best for our Tenants, and will always address their needs, if required.
