This charming 1930's-era bungalow in the heart of historic Sisters offers a comfortable and convenient way to enjoy a romantic or adventure-packed vacation in the Cascades. Set on a quiet street within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and the theater downtown, this Central Oregon vacation rental is also ideally located to great skiing at Hoodoo Resort and the events and attractions of the annual Sisters Rodeo.
Though it was built over 80 years ago, you'll find that this cottage-style home has been updated with modern decor and amenities. Step inside and feel warmly embraced as that abundant Central Oregon light streams in and fills the home. Toss the bags and settle into one of the comfy couches in the living room, or curl up in the window nook to finish the book you started on the way in. When night falls, pop in one of the DVDs you brought along or watch your favorite cable show on the flat screen TV. For old-fashioned fun, you'll find a plethora of board games and books here too. Stay connected with the WiFi and grab a cup of coffee just a few blocks away at Sisters Coffee Co.
While there are a wide variety of eateries you may want to check out in town, when the mood calls for staying in you'll find a fully loaded kitchen ready to create the perfect meal. Along with the necessities - a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker - you'll also find convenient extras like an espresso machine, ice maker, and dishwasher for easy clean-up. Serve up breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the large wooden table set for four beside the kitchen window. And for those BBQ aficionados, don't fret, there's a gas grill out on the deck ready to grill burgers to kabobs.
Within its cozy quarters you'll find one full bedroom off the living space housing a plush king-sized bed, making this quaint cottage a perfect romantic getaway for two. However, if friends or family are joining you'll find extra sleeping room on the pull-out couch in the living room, with an extra child-size space on the window seat. All in all, the home sleeps a total of four guests. There's a nicely decorated full bath right off the bedroom, along with a washer and dryer, so you can pack a little lighter.
When you're ready to head out, there's plenty to explore within close range. Take a leisurely stroll through Village Green City Park to admire Oregon's lush greenery, or pack a picnic and check out Creekside City Park where BBQs are available for daily use. You're in microbrew country, so beer lovers will want to stop in for a pint at Three Creeks Brewing, or make the four mile drive to Bend where big name breweries like Deschutes, 10 Barrel, and Boneyard await with tasters galore. Back in Sisters, downtown's Old Western theme will charm and delight as you pop in and out of antique shops and art galleries.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, the Deschutes River is nearby and encourages rafting, fishing, and kayaking adventures, while skiers and boarders will find powder just 20 minutes away at Hoodoo Resort. Hikers, bikers, fly fisherman, golfers, and horseback riders will each be in there element in Sisters as well, with countless trails and backcountry excursions to take advantage of year 'round, including renowned rock climbing at the Three Sisters Wilderness area just outside of town.
Whether you're out for a classic Central Oregon adventure, or on a romantic retreat, let this cozy Sisters vacation rental be your home base for a charmed and memorable experience.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This little modest cottage is in the center of town, walking distance to everything- and across from park and it's resident deer. The cottage has everything you need and a nice roomie bedroom with comfortable king size bed, lots of closet space-- nice sliding glass doors in living room and bedroom lets in lots of light . It was cold outside but the cottage warms up nicely! Just right for our needs to feel at home in Sisters!
Excellent small cottage in Sisters, OR. Very walkable to downtown for all restaurants, shopping, galleries. Two small markets in downtown and Ray's grocery a short car ride (larger store). Near outdoor hikes and mt. and road bike rides. Excellent location. Will recommend and return in future.
Reason for only 3 stars is that the place needs some TLC ie decoration, lighting, furniture etc
Did not comment at time as it was no big deal for few days, most spent out anyway.
