So welcoming and charming!

  • 5 of 5

From the day of booking, Julia was nothing but helpful and hospitable. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a bowl of fresh fruit, which was just what we needed after a long day of travel. The Studio was a perfect place to stay, while exploring wine country for the first time. Everything was organized, clean and accessible! I'd be more than happy to stay again at Julia's Studio, and I would gladly recommend this to others traveling in the area.

Very clean and comfortable, fit our needs perfectly.

My wife and I stayed here on the second leg of our Yosemite/San Francisco trip on our 30th wedding anniversary. The place was very clean, comfortable, and just as described.

The location was convenient for our plans...a visit to Muir Woods Park, the next day spent in SF, and the last day driving the Pacific Coast Highway north from Bodega Bay. You just need to use some judgement as to what time of day to head in or out of SF to avoid the traffic, but that could hold true about anywhere. The house is located in beautiful wine country.

The hosts had left fresh fruit and wine for us which was a very nice treat. We packed up some of the fruit and enjoyed it on our drives.

I would definitely recommend the Studio for couples.

Great location! comfortable andplenty of space

  • 5 of 5

The studio was a great match for me. Graton is an amazing little town and it's wonderful to be so close to it, thought it's worth noting that it's just far enough that it makes more sense to drive in than to walk. I also really appreciated that there were spare toothbrushes available (I'd forgotten my toiletries bag).

Restful relaxation in the heart of tranquility.

  • 5 of 5

I grew up in Petaluma and never explored Graton and Occidental until now. Now older and .... wiser :) I found a long weekend at Julia and Russ' studio to be the perfect place to do the wonderful things the area has to offer. All the previous comments about the hospitality, the small things like the fruit, special wine, coffee, cream etc. were splendid and added to the experience. Good running trail from Graton to Forestville, wineries (Merry Edwards and Dutton Goldfield are favorites), dining, outdoors- makes me want to move back! Even the rain didn't stop from having a wonderful time !

Studio Delight

  • 5 of 5

I had the pleasure of spending 2 evenings in this comfortable & cozy studio. The fresh fruit, 1/2 & 1/2, wine, chocolate & tea were very unexpected but much appreciated touches. The towels & linens, soaps & shampoos were soft & lovely. I loved having the small patio off the bedroom & the plants & flowers were so nicely cared for. I'd love to come back with my husband & try the suite. A great getaway!
