My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at your cottage. Your place is setup for everything. You just have to go and relax. You have thought of everything. Thank you again.
Excellent property in the north country!
We rented this cottage for my high school reunion weekend and to see family and friends in the region. We have used VRBO in many locations and our first reaction when walking in was, "how adorable!" The cottage was immaculate and very well stocked with anything you would need in the kitchen, keurig and regular coffee pot, linens, towels etc. The decor was an interesting mix of antiques and modern pieces that all worked very well together. Lighting is excellent, along with nice shades in all windows, comfortable bed, plenty of closet and dresser storage. The cottage has been completely renovated with modern sinks, shower, laundry. The sunrise looking out at Vermont over the lake was just beautiful! Good parking, plenty of outdoor seating, nice porch. The surrounding area is very nice and easy access from the road to the cottage. The owner is very fast with her responses and pleasant to communicate with. We will certainly rent again! ~Maureen B.
Lovely cottage on the lake
We had a wonderful weekend at this small but charming cottage on beautiful Lake Champlain. Everything was exactly as pictured, spotlessly clean and new. Loved the decor. It was one of the most well equipped rentals we have stayed in and the location for great for visiting our son at SUNY Plattsburgh. One night my husband and I walked down the street to the marina to enjoy a lovely at the restaurant there, and the next evening we enjoyed a lakeside BBQ with my son, friends and some others families up for parents weekend where we made good use of the canoe and Kayaks. We will return again for sure!
So glad you enjoyed the cottage and hope to have you back in the future:)
fun & clean little cottage on the lake
We rented this house while in town for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The only nice local hotel (really a B&B) does not allow children....and the chains in town are quite dated (and no where near the lake). This house was the perfect solution for our family! While it is a bit pricey - it is in a fantastic location and it was spotless. Everything is exactly as described. My kids were a bit worried when they saw no air conditioning (we live in Texas so AC is on most of the year) - but with the cool lake Champlain breezes A/C was not needed (and waking up sounds of the morning lake waves is priceless). While most of our time was spent with anniversary activities we did have time to walk to the restaurant at the marina (just down the road) - great food & drinks, and we really enjoyed every sunrise looking over the lake. Thank you for letting us in enjoy your lake home!
So glad you were able to enjoy the cottage and the sunrises! It rarely is too hot with the lake breezes and all of the ceiling fans, and I'm glad it worked out for you and your family:)
We found this little gem right on Lake Champlain when we decided on renting a house on VRBO for our son's graduation from SUNY Plattsburgh this May. It was literally minutes from the campus and only about 4 minutes from our son's house on Couch Street. The cottage was very comfy with all the comforts of home. You could tell that everything was newly updated, it had a great yard with a grill and kayaks. Unfortunately we didn't to use them :(, there just wasn't enough time. Wish we had thought about a BBQ instead of reservations for dinner on graduation day. Everyone would have enjoyed that so much more. It has such a beautiful view of the mountains as the backdrop sitting right on the water of Lake Champlain. It's perfect for one to four adults or a family of 6 (2 Adults, 4 children).
Great stay, highly recommend this
We were looking for a break away, not too far a drive from Montreal. This address is easy to get to and feels like a home away from home instantly. There's a manual with all ins and outs, even a slight hiccup in the washer gets a mention. And our stay was just fantastic. For families looking for quality time in a super well equipped rental, don't look further. Restaurants are not nearby, this is a place where you cook your own meal or have a barbecue outside, don't forget to bring marshmallows.
We would love to come back and use the canoes, the weather was too cold later in season. The fantastic Ausable Chasm is also an easy drive from here. We preferred shopping in Burlington to Plattsburgh, but the ferry takes you across in 12 minutes. So that isn't an issue.
Cottage is close to lake, stunning views and very very quiet surroundings.
So glad you enjoyed your stay, come back again so you can use the kayaks and the canoe!!!!
Our Cottage is two miles from the interstate exit, a five mile drive the Grand Isle, Vermont Ferry and approximately one hour from Burlington, Vermont. It is one hour south of Montreal and an hour from Lake Placid. You are within a 30 minute drive of many of the Adirondack Mountains which abound with excellent hiking opportunities. Walking distance to both a marina and a restaurant and a short drive into the city of Plattsburgh. It is located approximately 5 miles from a public boat launch. Our cabin comes with a canoe for your enjoyment. You could easily put in your own kayaks or paddleboards via our lake access.
