Back yard includes irrigated vegetable garden, rose garden, fountain, and year-round colorful landscaping. Lots of exterior landscape lighting. The garden also includes lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, plum, and avocado trees.
Located in the heart of LA in the very charming and upscale Miracle Mile district, also known as the Museum District. It's very central and perfectly situated to be a base for your vacation or work destinations: Hollywood, Melrose, Miracle Mile museums, LACMA, Mid Wilshire Blvd museums, The Grove and Farmers Market, Walk of Fame, Hollywood Bowl, Culver City, Burbank, Universal Studios, UCLA, USC. It is only a 10 minute drive to Hollywood, downtown LA, LA Live, Staples Center, Disney Hall, Universal Citywalk, Dodger Stadium, and Griffith Park. Beaches are a quick 30 minute drive via freeways with the 101, 5, and 10 Fwy easily accessed.
GATED BACKYARD LIVING AREA:
LA is about living outdoors and this home offers a tranquil setting for dining and lounging. The lounge area includes a bar and charcoal grill area stocked with wood chips and briquettes, chandeliers, dramatic lighting, and a vegetable/rose garden with a peaceful fountain. There are outdoor heaters when the nights are chilly, and you can pull the sheer draperies surrounding the pergola if you want some privacy. Even LA locals covet this space!
The two bedrooms are on the second floor with the bathroom. Each bedroom is spacious and well appointed featuring a new queen organic cotton pillow top mattress, and luxurious high thread-count linens. Allergy free pillows in firm or extra firm, as well as feather pillows are provided.
The spacious living room features comfortable and stylish seating where you can enjoy a broad range of television features. There is a new 42” smart TV with internet capability including Netflix access, Pandora, Hulu, and much more.
The spacious dining room features a custom nickel-plated glass top table with very comfortable oval backed, upholstered chairs. Table seats 6.
The updated kitchen is designed for cooking with white crisp appliances, tile floors, and plenty of cabinet space. The refrigerator includes a refrigerator with ice-maker, gas cook top, gas oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There are also three different ways to make your coffee! A traditional American drip coffee maker, French press, Italian Moka pot, and a tea pot. A large selection of tea and hot chocolate are provided.
The full bathroom features all tile floors and walls with original architectural archway shower/tub enclosure and original and large mirrored vanity. Bathrooms are stocked with plush Egyptian cotton towels, soaps, and shampoos.
New, full sized, washer and dryer, are provided along with clothes iron, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets.
WIFI AND OFFICE:
Perfect for work oriented trips, the front bedroom includes a large L-shaped desk with gorgeous views, complete with computer and printer. Free wifi is available throughout the house.

I have been working as an interior designer for 24 years and live next door. I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 1998 and thought I was going to stay for 2 years, but I'm still here! I have worked briefly in set design and currently do a lot of interior design work for the entertainment industry. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and have been a client for many vacation rentals in the US and overseas.

I feel in love with the historic flavor of the duplex and was inspired by the original details. It is incredibly peaceful and the backyard living area is loved by all. I have had a lot of fun with the backyard lighting, fountain, and drapery lined pergola. I thought I wouldn't be living in this area for long, but I love it so much in this home I had to stay!
When I bought this duplex I could see the potential. I restored the original sconces in the Living Room myself, and worked to bring back the original polish and character throughout the place. Most striking of all the improvements is the back yard pergola and garden! The vegetable and rose garden is one of the most relaxing features. Feel free to help yourself to vegetables while in season - we are lucky to have 3 growing seasons in LA! The garden also includes lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, plum, and avocado trees.
The first thing we would like to highlight is how great of a host Deborah is. Since we first contacted her, she immediately answered all of our doubts, and after requesting some more pictures of the house she kindly uploaded all we had asked for. During our stay, Deborah was always available and attentive to all of our needs in case we needed something. She had also left a lot of information about what to visit in LA and it’s surrounding areas, as well as a list of the best museums, restaurants, stores and last but not least a detailed guide of how to properly use and enjoy all the commodities that the house has to offer. As to the house itself, besides what you can appreciate in the pictures, that give a great idea of how the place actually looks like, we can say we felt extremely at ease. Being a family of 3, a couple and a son in his 20’s, the spacious nature of the house allowed us to be comfortable and enjoy our time together. It’s worth adding that the house is really well decorated, with a really warm and defined style with attention to detail, which makes staying here all that much more enjoyable. It’s located on a beautiful street on quiet neighborhood, with no traffic, which ensures a pleasurable stay without the noise from LA’s big Avenues but is also really close from all major attractions. The house also has a beautiful garden, that although we couldn’t enjoy because of the weather (we came in the winter) it’s an extra space that on a nice day makes for a great place to spend some time outdoors and enjoy a barbecue. All in all, we highly recommend staying here, since it’s a beautiful house with a great host. We’ll be sure to stay here when we come visit again!
This duplex has been updated, but still captures the charm of the 20's. We used the full kitchen, the outside patio and grill. Parking off of the street is a real plus, as parking in LA is always a challenge. The beds were comfortable. There is a lot of value staying here if you are needing two bedrooms.
I usually never review my rentals but I just had to this time. Deborah was very accommodating on such short notice for my best friend and I and the place was exactly as listed. Check in was a breeze, the entire property was spotless and in a very ideal location (short Uber ride away from everything). The heated back patio was our favorite part, you have to see it for yourself. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
As a working business professional that had projects in Mid Wilshire and Downtown LA, this place was perfectly located. Very limited drive times, access to good restaurants and entertainment. The (2) bedroom was very clean and the neighborhood was very quit with parking. Owner was very accommodating to insure my stay had everything needed.
Deborah's place was perfect for our family of four (including 2 teenage girls). While we kept busy and were not in the duplex all that much, we had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful backyard. We seemed 10 minutes (with no traffic), from several of the places we wanted to see/visit. We were very happy to have convenient, off street parking for our rental car and my husband commented on how comfortable the bed was. All in all we were very pleased with the arrangements, and would highly recommend Deborah's place.
We had an excellent stay from arrival to departure. The house was as described. Deborah warmly welcomed us. She was present in case we had any questions but she was very discreet so we had a lot of rest. The neighborhood is calme. Parking spot was excellent. The garden is a little gem in the heart of the city, especially for early morning coffee. Fruit trees, birds, fountain... Figs were delicious. The house is well situated eventhough a car is necessary in LA. After a "busy" day, the house was very comfortable. We definitely recommend her house. Thank you Deborah.
We would like to share that we had an incredible experience staying at this home. The owner was very helpful from the moment we rented the home until we left. She was accommodating, kind, and generous to our consultants that used the home to meet our clients.

There are some great playgrounds very close at the Pan Pacific park, about a 5 minute drive.
