About Deborah Davis
I have been working as an interior designer for 24 years and live next door. I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 1998 and thought I was going to stay for 2 years, but I'm still here! I have worked briefly in set design and currently do a lot of interior design work for the entertainment industry. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and have been a client for many vacation rentals in the US and overseas.
Deborah Davis purchased this Townhome in 2009
Why Deborah Davis chose Mid-Wilshire
I feel in love with the historic flavor of the duplex and was inspired by the original details. It is incredibly peaceful and the backyard living area is loved by all. I have had a lot of fun with the backyard lighting, fountain, and drapery lined pergola. I thought I wouldn't be living in this area for long, but I love it so much in this home I had to stay!
What makes this Townhome unique
When I bought this duplex I could see the potential. I restored the original sconces in the Living Room myself, and worked to bring back the original polish and character throughout the place. Most striking of all the improvements is the back yard pergola and garden! The vegetable and rose garden is one of the most relaxing features. Feel free to help yourself to vegetables while in season - we are lucky to have 3 growing seasons in LA! The garden also includes lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, plum, and avocado trees.

I loved my stay at Deborah's place. It was perfect for my stay for work, then my flight to LAX. I loved the big desk I used to set up my computer. The home is very spacious, clean and well designed. The outdoor space is so fun and there are several fruit trees. I reheated my leftovers from dinner the night before in the oven and was piping hot when I took it out and heated quickly. There was a robe I could use when I got out of the shower which made me feel like I was at a resort. I will definitely book this place again when I am in LA next time and I will recommend it to my friends.
A great way to explore LA!
A very charming house and yard in a lively area of LA. House was stocked with everything we needed, beds and furnishings were comfortable. Deborah is extremely attentive and accommodating and provides wonderful suggestions for things to do and see in the area.. Would highly recommend!
A comfortable house in a great location
Wish the weather would have been warm enough to spend more time in the beautiful outdoor spaces. The location was great. We could travel easily by car to most any part of the city. The house is attractively furnished in a modern style and all of the furniture was very comfortable.
This was an amazing spot for my parents to stay when they were visiting LA. Deborah was a wonderful host - highly recommended.
Property is large and comfortable.
The house is lovely and large with a beautiful back yard, rare and welcome in a warm weather climate!! Beds were extremely comfortable, and the owner is very attentive guests’ questions and needs. My ONLY reservation is that the house isn’t within walking distance to useful commercial.
It is true that although there are many fantastic shops and grocery stores less than 1/2 mile away, it crosses a large and busy intersection so I don't recommend guests walking to it. Fortunately there are a few fantastic restaurants on the block and a few blocks away that are very walkable and there is now a grocery store that delivers in 30 minutes which makes it super convenient. I hope you will come and stay again to try out the Brownstone Bistro, recently made over by Gordon Ramsey.
Debrah is a great host,
Cozy would stay again it’s in a quiet neighborhood and it located within 1/2th hour to everything you would wanna do..
There are some great playgrounds very close at the Pan Pacific park, about a 5 minute drive.
