I highly commend Domaine Felibre, where we stayed during a vacation in Quebec Province, from California. We were welcomed the night of our arrival with a bottle of champagne and an attractive spray of white roses. Louise, the owner, stopped by the next day to assure that all was satisfactory. Serge, the property manager, was continuously of the utmost help; from covering our car when we arrived, to improvising a ramp to facilitate my wife's entry to the house.
The property is suitable for those with mild mobility impairments, as there are two bedrooms on the ground floor; and they, along with kitchen, entry, and entertainment areas lie on a flat floor-plan. However, the upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a rather steep staircase. The home is completely and very comfortably furnished and is amply stocked with soft towels, and with numerous kitchen items and glassware for those who wish to cook at home.
During our stay in mid-autumn, the weather was mostly clear and temperate; we spent many evenings on the living-room porch listening to music and admiring through the darkening light -- over a glass of wine -- the reddening foliage of the surrounding forest. Several trails in that woodland furnish interesting early-morning walks and photographic opportunities.
Although in a rustic location, Domaine Felibre is centrally located. From the house, during our eight-day stay, we made numerous trips into Montreal for lunch/dinner and sight-seeing; all-day excursions to Ottawa and to Quebec City; and two evening drives to Mont Tremblant. Domaine Felibre's proximity to Saint-Sauveur places a multitude of charming very-high-quality restaurants and outdoor cafes within a few minutes of the house. We found walk-in medical care nearby at 'Clinique Medicale & Dentaire Saint-Sauveur' to treat a cold my wife caught on the plane out.
Our party was only three strong, and we were visited overnight by another relative and her friend. The younger set made good use of the newly-installed hot-tub and of the paddle-boat on the small pond. It was obvious to us, though, from the extent of furnishings and laid-in linens, that the house and environs are capable of accommodating very much larger groups.
Domaine Felibre has our highest recommendation and we will return on any future trips to Montreal.
Our large family of 12 to 14 people had the pleasure of spending a week at this beautiful home in July while in Montreal for a wedding, Louise was truly helpful with all our requests. We were pleasantly surprised from the time we arrived, the home is even more beautiful in person than the photos, Louise greeted us with beautiful flowers and champagne, all the beds were set up for our large family and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, the landscaping is breathtaking, the view from all the large windows is wonderful. The kids enjoyed the pool, the canoe and the paddle boat, we had a large family barbecue on the Sunday with relatives from the area and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The home is very clean, we loved the large kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The kids visited the water slide park on the Thursday and had a great time. We stocked up on groceries from Costco when we first arrived and didn't need to visit any restaurants as the children preferred to stay in and play. We had a great time just sitting around the large dining room table or outside by a nice fire after dark. I would strongly recommend this property. The only concern with the little ones was the stairs but we had brought a baby gate and Louise also provide us with a gate for the balcony. Thanks to Serge we had a clean pool everyday and he was always available if we needed anything or had any questions. Louise is fantastic to deal with and our deposit was returned promptly when we returned home. Thanks again Louise for a great week!
We stayed here for my husband's birthday weekend with a group of friends and family.
All is can say is what you see, is exactly what you get and a weekend wasn't enough!
This house is truly wonderful and very spacious. Their kitchen is fully equipped with anything you may need. The entire house is fully furnished and decorated with class and extreme coziness. The owners really made sure to accommodate the renters with anything to make them feel comfortable. The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the back yard with a nice princess balcony. The outdoor has pretty much anything you would desire. Lots of sitting space and beautiful scenery. Perfect for BBQ and you could plug in your speakers for outdoor music (as long as you respect the noise). They have a small private lake with a pedalo which was a nice touch. By the lake, there is an area where you could start your own fire, which gives you a "camping" feel, although you are in a luxurious villa!
We didn't get the chance to enjoy the pool as much since it wasn't heated and the nights in the mountains do get pretty chilly. In addition, we were unaware that the owners were staying in the bachelor pad that weekend. However, we were so pleased with the overall experience, that it didn't bother us as much.
Louise the owner is very kind, classy lady. She greeted us with a bottle of champagne which made us feel very welcome. Our friends and family had a blast and we would defiantly come back for a future occasion. Thank you Louise :)
Best Villa ever to rent
We have renewed the vila for a corporate event, and it was great!
First of all Louise (the owner) is a great host, she was great help, very flexible and she even offered us 2 bottles of champagne!
Second of all the villa is great, very big, bright and clean. The outside is gorgeous too; we had the chance to swim, to barbecue and to use the lack for a pedallo
The place is 35 mins ways form Montreal and close to nice a bakery and some supermarket.
So if you a big or a small group, a family or some friends, for fun rest or for work this is the place to be
This is a GREAT rental! I had the pleasure of sharing this property with a group from work and it was fantastic. The bedrooms were gorgeous; the family room has windows surrounding the property and a great fireplace with a view to the north (the ski hills); the kitchen is fully-equipped (I have to say: FULLY EQUIPPED) and the owner(s) are great. We were their first rental and treated the place the way we would treat our own homes. They appreciated us and we appreciated them. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to others and hope to go back.
This tucked away hidden gem vacation rental is OUTSTANDING! The interior is massive, offering lots of spacious comfy sitting area in the living room with superb views (3 walls are windows top to bottom). Views are breathtaking. This tranquil home provided peace and comfort in a perfectly decorated home with hardwood flooring, throughout the home and ceramic in the kitchen. 3 generous sized bedrooms with a king, queen and a double. The oversized bathroom has a stellar bathtub, shower, and sitting area to put your makeup. The king has views of the ski hill! Amazing!. Ample parking. On the 1st floor it provides another room with a futon comfy for 2 and another full bathroom. Lighting throughout the house provides the peace and comfort anyone would want at a getaway weekend! HIGHLY recommended. BBQ outside and pool in the summer.
