Wade and I live in Houston, TX but spend a lot of time working in Austin. We loved the lake so much that we decided to buy our first unit at this beautiful complex in 2012. After spending many weekends on the lake we decided to expand and buy a 2nd place. It is our little sanctuary...and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! This condo is wonderfully decorated and very clean! Incredible view of the lake and mountains, very peaceful and relaxing! The owners have done an exceptionable job of creating a home away from home for their visitors! We will defiantly be back to stay again very soon!

Impeccable condo. One of the most beautiful condos we have stayed in.

The condo was amazing. From a welcome basket to fluffy robes just waiting for us! Absolutely felt spoiled!

Would have been better had we brought a boat or jet skis. There wasn't much to do onsite without them. Pools were nice, though.

Would definitely consider coming back for a very relaxed weekend.

Pretty Good

Leading up to the stay, the owners were very responsive and helpful. There was an issue (possibly operator error) with the dishwasher after checkin which I received quick support. Owners/mngt company were very nice and helpful which made the experince nice. On the downside, there were a couple maintenance/housekeeping issues, that should be addressed.

Firstly, the icemaker doesnt work. I dont make ice at home and I definitely dont want to make ice on vacation. I cant remember the last time I had to make ice at anyone's home. Secondly, my mom had on one of the robes and discovered a handful of whole potato chips in the pockets when she reached into them. Probably should wash those every stay regardless of whether anyone thought the departing guests wore them or not. Thirdly, there was no air filter in the air conditioner intake which was a consideration since we have a newborn. Fourth, the AC has a note on it that it shouldnt be turned down below 72 or it will freeze up. I like the house cold when I sleep, as I am sure other people do as well. 72 is sort of marginal to me. There were a couple other smaller things not worth harping on, but overall I felt like there were some known shortcomings with the property that were left to guests to deal with instead of allocating money to fix them.

I gave the property 4 stars for the owner's responsiveness, but given the option in the ranking system, I would probably give 3.5 stars.

Owner's Response: Drew, Thank you for your feedback. As with all complaints we take them very seriously. The fridge has never had a functional ice maker. It's disabled for a specific reason. It's noted on the check in document which you received prior to arrival as well as the house manual. The fridge does not have a functional Ice maker because of the type of water system utilized. We provide a ton of ice trays that have been filled before you arrival and we also suggest grabbing a bag of ice at the corner store on your way in. If there was no ice upon arrival, you should've contacted us like you did for the dishwasher which was immediately resolved. The air filter: we discussed this during our call about the dishwasher. The Island utilizes a geo-thermal system which uses water from the lake to cool and heat. Unlike normal systems, the filter resides on the AC unit. I walked you through where the filter was and it was brand new and right where it was suppose to be. The bent you were concerned about is not a intake vent. The AC can go below 72, just not with the patio doors open, and preferably not for 24 hours due to the ground-thermal system. We take pride in our home and we also manage it ourselves. We provide a lot of extras like robes, and unfortunately our cleaning crew missed a robe that was in a guest closet. It has been addressed with them and I can assure you that our cleaners will be more through. As you can see from all our other reviews, we strive to provide a wonderful vacation home. With all this being said, I believe your review was negative because you were upset about being questioned about the absorbent number of guests that you didn't disclose and the party. All of which we support as long as it's within reason, and it's not destructive to our home. If someone hadn't shown up immediately to "fix" the dishwasher which you claim was broken (but was user error,) my guess is none of this would have occurred.
