About Dr. Len Wysocki

Here I am looking over Narragansett sound across the pond with my house in view of both. This is truly a relaxing place to be alone or with your significant others. As a licensed Psychologist, I know the importance of being able to 'recharge your battery' and this is a place to do it.

Dr. Len Wysocki purchased this house in 1997

Why Dr. Len Wysocki chose Narragansett area

When I first saw this property, I recognized that it occupied a very special location in that it was nestled against an Audubon society land trust which essentially provided a sanctuary for many species of migrating birds including swan and other interesting water foul. It was a short walk from a private sandy 1/4 mile long beach and it was totally peaceful while being close by to many area activities. The house I personally built was custom designed to take advantage of the views and provide privacy to several couples who could enjoy separate uniquely designed spaces both inside and outside of the house.

What makes this house unique

This location offers you a 5 minute driving commute to the center of Narragansett, a 12 minute commute to the center of Newport and 5 major golf clubs. An abundance of fine Restaurants and points of interest including Block Island, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket can be reached by a Ferry close by. Fishing, water sports, and surfing are options many chose while here.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I have had many guests who would be willing to give thier opinions on the great experience they had in 2002. However this guest book was not available at that time. I will forward these guests E-mail adresses to anyone who is interested. Just make a request through my E-mail address located on the rental property page.

Tranquil Beauty in Narragansett

  • 5 of 5

Our family wedding in Narragansett was made even more magical by our stay at our rental in Bonnet Shores. Our host was exceptionally attentive - making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house itself was lovely - with exceptional views from all of the rooms.

For us, the highlight was the expansive deck overlooking a pond and then the ocean in the far distance. The pond and the area around it were home to serene swans, spectacular Baltimore Orioles - as well as many other varieties of birds. The backyard was host to many rabbits - quite entertaining to our grandchild. The deck was really the center of our activities - morning, day and night - and we loved it!

We have rented many lovely vacation homes over the course of several years and this home, plus the attentive care of the owner, certainly rank at the very top of our experiences. We would recommend it without reservation to any family looking for a charming vacation home.

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

It was one of the best weeks we've ever had with our children and their new babies. My son's family is from Seattle and my daughter's family is from Newton. We played board games in the living room and on the back porch. Laughed and recounted stories. Relaxed on the hammock. We especially enjoyed having dinner at a kitchen table which was big enough for 6 adults and 2 babies at each end with attachable high chairs. We had a wonderful celebration dinner at the Coast Guard House. It was the the only day it had rained and while we were having dinner, a rainbow appeared. The perfect setting. The Bonnet Shores Community was very family oriented. Each day we went to the private beach which is a short drive from the house. We also enjoyed taking walks around the the community, The owners were very accommodating. (They even had a pack n' play which was set up for the babies while we were preparing meals in the kitchen area.) We really had a most enjoyable experience and hope to return next summer.

July 2011

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Rhode Island, we had a wonderful time. The house was in a great location to get to lots of beaches and Newport. The house was wonderful for the 10 of us. We hit the hotest week of the summer, so the lack of AC on the main floor was a little tough, but it is very unusual to get a week that is 95 or better for an entire week. Had it been normal warm tempratures i dont think this would have been a concern at all. We loved our stay and the house.

Owner's Response: Glad to hear you enjoyed our home Rebecca. The bedroom air conditioners are generally not even needed with the ocean breeze which comes over the pond, however, you do get a hot week once a season or so.

wonderful

We had a fabulous reunion. My favorite activity was renting bikes and exploring the trails. The home was gorgeous, clean, and well-equipped. It had the ultimate, sublime "beach house" feeling. Also, my brother caught a huge fish off a charter boat.

Awesome!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house! We visited in the winter and it was awesome and cozy. It's only about 15 minutes from Newport, and we enjoyed going in for some lunch and shopping. The kitchen in the home is large and open and perfect for cooking (its fully stocked with whatever you need). The living room is great for entertaining with a fireplace, huge tv and serious surround sound. We made a fire each night we were there and drank wine in front of it. Every morning we woke up in a sun filled master bedroom overlooking the salt pond and the ocean. There are so many windows in the home so you can see the water from every room in the house. Overall the house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and relaxing. We wished it was warm enough to sit on the rocking chairs on the porch, but maybe next time. The owners were great - they recommended a couple great local eateries and were very responsive when we called them with questions, Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did and definitely recommend it to anyone!
