About Dale Bollinger
Hi my name is Dale Bollinger. I am a life long resident of Bladen County. I spend my life with my wonderful wife Rocio and our 3 year old daughter Amanda Belle. I love nature and the river which led me to acquiring this property several years ago. Our cabin was fully renovated by us over the last few years. We are still adding new features yearly to our property.

Rest and Fish!
Great place off the path. Love that it was not surrounded by a lot of other cabins. Owner was very friendly. Would consider coming back again.
Thanks for staying with us and hope to see you again in the future. Thanks for the tips about the house.
Labor Day get away
Beautiful setting enjoyed the quietness, the river ,fishing, caught a number of catfish and bluegill, weather was great, cabin was everything and more ,owner Dale very helpful ,pleasure to talk too, cabin highly recommended
Dale and Rocio were very nice people and always attentive and great to talk to. We had a great experience renting from them. The scenery and wildlife were amazing. The house clean and beautiful. I would love to return with my family again. Loved it.
We came from Michigan for our first vacation together without our children in twelve years. The Bollingers are fantastic hosts, providing everything you need to just come in and live the river life.
The house they've built is absolutely charming. It's quirky, but in a good way. It's unique, and extremely well thought out. They really do provide an "only suitcase and groceries" necessary getaway.
The pictures do not do the amount of beautiful land surrounding the house justice. It is secluded, but not in a way that feels isolating. I highly enjoyed the back deck over the water, the hot tub, and the deck by the master suite with the wood and iron gate.
There are a fair amount of insects around the property, but that is absolutely to be expected so close to the river in a forest setting. The deck over the water, outdoor cooking area, and hot tub area seemed to have less insects than anywhere else; which was nice and made sitting outside lovely. The house itself was clean and more than comfortable.
The sun comes up right across the river from the house and it was so peaceful. Adding to that beauty, the wildlife around the area is bountiful in the best way possible. As a zoologist, I adored all the different species of birds, frogs, moths, and fish I saw.
The cicadas here have such a beautiful song and I had a lovely time watching the sun crest the trees with an adorable brown headed nuthatch who flew down and sat on the railing by me. A flock of gold finches love the dead tree in the water and came down to sing to me every day. You can hear the cries of several species of hawk during the day. At night I really enjoyed listening to the rare sounds of a parliament of owls hunting.
This place feels like a home, but without being too much of one. I mean that in the way that you feel like it's yours and not like you're intruding on someone else's personal space. The Bollingers were so kind and welcoming that it was a joy to meet them and an honor to stay in their house.
