Welcome to Lakeview Lodge! Canandaigua's best kept secret! This spacious custom built log home is tucked away on a private drive and sits on 3 1/2 wooded acres overlooking the beautiful and scenic crystal clear waters of Canandaigua Lake. On the main and second floor this home boasts 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 full baths with 1 half bath, 2 large living areas,, and a spacious kitchen. With an additional queen size sofa bed in one of the living areas that make this a home perfect for a large family. There is also a full second kitchen in the basement along with a pool table room and also a great teen hang out room with IKEA furniture.
After a fun day at the lake or taking in one of the many local wineries or breweries enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the beautiful lake views on one of the two furnished covered porches. For cool evenings enjoy sitting on a beautiful flagstone patio with stone fire pit overlooking the lake and enjoy the breeze under the canopy of beautiful 60 foot trees.
For your furry four-legged family members their is a fenced side yard that will keep them close to you. As for the kids there is plenty of land to roam with a ravine and seasonal stream to work out all that excess energy. We are on a private drive with only two other houses and minimal traffic.
The kitchen has all of the amenities that you need to cook tasty meals including a commercial size grill for outdoor cooking.
If you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of wonderful restaurants and the New York Wine and Culinary School within five minutes of our home.
There is lake access to Onanda Park only a few miles away from our home which boasts areas for swimming, fishing, tennis, and hiking with waterfalls (A pass is provided with rental).
In the winter months after a long day of skiing at Bristol Mountain (only 11 miles away) wind down in the eight person Jacuzzi or sit by a crackling fire in one of the four custom wood burning fireplaces throughout the home, including the kitchen.
We are thrilled that you are considering a stay with us at Lakeview Lodge and look forward to spoiling you and making your stay a memorable one!
Although we do not have private lake access our house is just a short drive to several areas where there is lake access. One is only 1.2 miles from our front door and the other is 6 miles south of us (we provide the pass)! We are also only a short five minute drive to the pier where you can rent canoes, paddleboards, etc.

(Disclosure: We cater to families and laid back vacationers. If you are looking for a party house, we would not be your destination. We also do not allow weddings or parties to be held at our home as we want to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for our guests as well as our neighbors). Sincerely, Sherrie Anderson Owner of Lakeview Lodge
We were originally from Texas but moved here 12 years ago and fell in love with the crystal clear lakes, rolling hills, and especially the four seasons and all the activities that are available here for all of them. We have 8 children and have poured our heart into this place and look forward to sharing it with others. This is our first season renting as we take some time to travel this summer and possibly the winter as well. We hope that you will feel the Southern charm and hospitality that we want to share with you while you are there. Kids are completely welcomed and so is your dogs. Being a big family we realized that it is not easy to find places that can accommodate a large family or multiple families so we are glad to offer this spacious home to your family. Please let us know if you have any questions. We would love to tell you all about the area!

The view..the view...the view! And of course the log home has such a warm and homey feel. It's like bringing a little of the Adirondacks to the Finger Lakes! There is also more to do than you can imagine and wonderful shopping and dining.
There is nothing like waking up to beautiful sunrises peaking through the tall mature trees and sitting in the yard watching our kids play and explore. Love that we are hidden but only minutes away from Canandaigua's beautiful and historic main street!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at the Lodge! It was a perfect getaway. A beautiful home with beautiful scenery. We enjoyed building an afternoon fire, as well as a lot of ones inside at night. The spacious kitchen was the perfect place to cook big family meals. We saw lots of squirrels and even a few deer. We took a little day trip to wineries and a brewery. We enjoyed the Pumpkin Porter at the Twisted Rail Brewery in Canandaigua. We loved the grape pie and wine left for us when we arrived:-)
All in all, a wonderful cozy cabin during the fall was just perfect!
We had a wonderful time during our stay at this beautiful log cabin. The accommodations were perfect, and everything exceeded our standards!!! We even got to see the first snowfall of the season which made the scenery that much more enjoyable. The interior of the house was beautiful, the wooded-log cabin made us feel cozy but decadent at the same time!!! I would absolutely suggest renting this cabin for a gathering of friends and fun! Sherrie was a pleasure to talk to as well and made us feel extremely welcome.
This was our 2nd year at Lakeview Lodge and as always Sherrie is an excellent host! We love her home and enjoyed our time for our ladies wine weekend. All of the accommodations are very comfortable and welcoming. We had fun and relaxed with awesome views of nature and Canandaigua Lake. Some changes were made to the kitchen area and most of my girls realized and said wow what a nice change opening up more space in the kitchen and more seating for everyone. Love, love, love this place and plan on continuing to stay here for our annual wine weekend!
This is where my family spent last weekend for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely amazing. Sherrie is super nice and responds immediately with information. This home has to be seen to really appreciate the beauty and detail, it is everything the pictures show and more.
There are multiple places inside and out for the family to gather. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need - it's a renter's dream. The home is very large, clean, and well stocked - No need to bring towels, blankets, pillows, etc. The furnishings are very attractive and comfortable, and we could not have asked for more.
We loved this unique and lovely Canandaigua lake view home. So much care was taken to the house, yard and every detail. The owners really put extra effort into making our stay an enjoyable experience. Thank you and we hope to return!
This has to be one of the best places we have ever rented for our yearly "girlfriends getaway/okay we'll try to get some work done, too" weekend!
The house is large enough for 10-11 of us to be comfortable, and the addition of the downstairs kitchen really helped with storing all the food and drinks we were bringing and making. There were enough beds, even though we did share the larger ones, and with the exception of one of the twin beds, they were very comfortable. Check the security of the bunk beds though... we didn't feel too good about climbing up to the top one.
Plenty of parking for everyone, even though we ended up with a few more cars than we thought. But no problem. We just tucked the ones we knew we wouldn't be using at top at the top of the driveway, and there was plenty of space for everyone.
The television room worked great, and the abundance of places to gather and talk was fantastic! The porch was a favorite, bundled up in blankets, and the fire pit was great , too. But by far, our favorite place ended up at the big beautiful kitchen table, big enough for all of us, and the open concept allowed the people who were cooking to be right there able to converse with everyone.
We went to the small Farmers Market on Saturday, and some quick trips to Wegmans, but other than that we just wanted to stay there and be together. There was no better place we could think of to be!
The neighborhood dog came by one morning to check us out, and stayed for head rubs and pats until his owner got worried. The deer made a daily visit, sometimes in the morning, more often at night. And the blue birds flitting in and out of the beautiful garden of the house next door were fantastic! (We thanked them for the perk!)
The Lodge is not so perfectly perfect that you feel you can't move and be comfortable. But it is clean, well cared for and comfortable.
Peaceful, quiet, and serene. Absolutely lovely....
Sherrie is a great host and she will help you with any questions or issues - fast, friendly, professional, and kind.
There are plenty of things to do nearby, and we 'thought' about doing a lot of them, but finally we realized that we just wanted too sit in our jammies and talk and eat and relax. And this is the perfect place to do that!
Thank you, Sherrie, for allowing us to share your wonderful Lodge. It was such a pleasure and a treat for us all.
What a great time we had at Lakeview Lodge! It was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 15 women. While I didn't directly communicate with Sherrie about the stay, she seemed very easy to work with and everything was as expected. We got to the lodge on Friday and never left until Sunday! There was plenty to do right there, hot tub, pool table, fire pit, MANY areas to put up our feet and visit and the kitchen area big enough to accommodate us all at once! Would love to make our "Girl's Getaway" an annual event.
Our family week at Lakeview Lodge was just wonderful!! The pictures don't do the house justice. It was more house than us 9 adults needed. We didn't even use the downstairs area. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was amazing!! It was well stocked with everything you could possible need and the table was great for all of us to be able to eat together and play cards and games on. There was plenty of comfy chairs/couches for all of us to relax, read or watch the Olympics. We had a fire almost every night in the fire pit making smores and loved watching the deer come out at dusk and wander around. We didn't use the hot tub as much as we would have liked to because last week there were four days over 90 degrees, but it is very nice. The porches I think were our favorite part of the house. On the front porch, you have a great view of Canandaigua Lake and in the afternoon the back porch is shaded and usually has a little breeze. Thanks you Sherrie for answering any of our questions and for sharing your beautiful house with us. We would definitely recommend it to anyone that doesn't need to be right on the water and likes a quiet and peaceful vacation spot.
