Welcome to Lakeview Lodge! Canandaigua's best kept secret! This spacious custom built log home is tucked away on a private drive and sits on 3 1/2 wooded acres overlooking the beautiful and scenic crystal clear waters of Canandaigua Lake. On the main and second floor this home boasts 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 full baths with 1 half bath, 2 large living areas,, and a spacious kitchen. With an additional queen size sofa bed in one of the living areas that make this a home perfect for a large family. There is also a full second kitchen in the basement along with a pool table room and also a great teen hang out room with IKEA furniture.
After a fun day at the lake or taking in one of the many local wineries or breweries enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the beautiful lake views on one of the two furnished covered porches. For cool evenings enjoy sitting on a beautiful flagstone patio with stone fire pit overlooking the lake and enjoy the breeze under the canopy of beautiful 60 foot trees.
For your furry four-legged family members their is a fenced side yard that will keep them close to you. As for the kids there is plenty of land to roam with a ravine and seasonal stream to work out all that excess energy. We are on a private drive with only two other houses and minimal traffic.
The kitchen has all of the amenities that you need to cook tasty meals including a commercial size grill for outdoor cooking.
If you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of wonderful restaurants and the New York Wine and Culinary School within five minutes of our home.
There is lake access to Onanda Park only a few miles away from our home which boasts areas for swimming, fishing, tennis, and hiking with waterfalls (A pass is provided with rental).
In the winter months after a long day of skiing at Bristol Mountain (only 11 miles away) wind down in the eight person Jacuzzi or sit by a crackling fire in one of the four custom wood burning fireplaces throughout the home, including the kitchen.
We are thrilled that you are considering a stay with us at Lakeview Lodge and look forward to spoiling you and making your stay a memorable one!
Although we do not have private lake access our house is just a short drive to several areas where there is lake access. One is only 1.2 miles from our front door and the other is 6 miles south of us (we provide the pass)! We are also only a short five minute drive to the pier where you can rent canoes, paddleboards, etc.

(Disclosure: We cater to families and laid back vacationers. If you are looking for a party house, we would not be your destination. We also do not allow weddings or parties to be held at our home as we want to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for our guests as well as our neighbors). Sincerely, Sherrie Anderson Owner of Lakeview Lodge
We were originally from Texas but moved here 12 years ago and fell in love with the crystal clear lakes, rolling hills, and especially the four seasons and all the activities that are available here for all of them. We have 8 children and have poured our heart into this place and look forward to sharing it with others. This is our first season renting as we take some time to travel this summer and possibly the winter as well. We hope that you will feel the Southern charm and hospitality that we want to share with you while you are there. Kids are completely welcomed and so is your dogs. Being a big family we realized that it is not easy to find places that can accommodate a large family or multiple families so we are glad to offer this spacious home to your family. Please let us know if you have any questions. We would love to tell you all about the area!

The view..the view...the view! And of course the log home has such a warm and homey feel. It's like bringing a little of the Adirondacks to the Finger Lakes! There is also more to do than you can imagine and wonderful shopping and dining.
There is nothing like waking up to beautiful sunrises peaking through the tall mature trees and sitting in the yard watching our kids play and explore. Love that we are hidden but only minutes away from Canandaigua's beautiful and historic main street!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at the Lodge! It was a perfect getaway. A beautiful home with beautiful scenery. We enjoyed building an afternoon fire, as well as a lot of ones inside at night. The spacious kitchen was the perfect place to cook big family meals. We saw lots of squirrels and even a few deer. We took a little day trip to wineries and a brewery. We enjoyed the Pumpkin Porter at the Twisted Rail Brewery in Canandaigua. We loved the grape pie and wine left for us when we arrived:-)
All in all, a wonderful cozy cabin during the fall was just perfect!
We had a great time celebrating a 60th birthday. There was plenty of space for our group of 10 and the dining room table was a good gathering place. The parking area was also sufficient for our numerous cars. The master bedroom bed is to die for! I do suggest that specific directions be provided for the three tv's for those of us who are technologically challenged. Dealing with Sherrie, the owner, is a very pleasant experience. She's helpful, friendly and easy to contact about anything and feels like a friend you've had for years. Thank you for a great weekend getaway!
We stayed at Sherrie's Lakeview Lodge last weekend and had a wonderful time. Sherrie was helpful in making suggestions re: local points of interest, the directions were clear and she was immediately responsive to several specialized inquiries we made. The house was just as described. The lodge was clean and spacious, lending itself to large group family activities, but also offering a number of separate spaces to allow for board game playing, quiet reading, pool playing, "hot tubbing", and outdoor fire pit tending - all at the same time. The weather was lovely and coffee drinking on the front porch while watching the sun rise over the lake was a special memory. It is close to Bristol Mt. (less than 20 min. drive), a park for hiking (10 min. drive) and a great winery (15 minute drive). We hope to make our trip to the lodge an annual event!
I had waited too long to book our family vacation last year! One week before we were to go somewhere on vacation this beautiful home had a cancellation. Just my luck! My husband and I brought 4 young adults with us. The home had plenty of space for all of us. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well stocked and the multiple living rooms furniture just right for movie night. We also loved the big dining table for game night and gathering for meals. Our favorite place was outside. The fire pit was great for evening s'mores while watching the deer walk through the yard. Enjoyed the hot tub and really loved the hammocks for reading a good book and napping. We brought our 6 kayaks on our trailer. Plenty of parking for it at the house. Had to drive 20 mins south on the lake to put in the kayaks. It was beautiful! The north end of the lake was only room for car top kayaks not room for a trailer. We enjoyed the pier in the evenings & looking at the cool boat houses. The walk in the steam to the waterfalls is a must!!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Sherrie was very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for sharing your beautiful log home with us!
The place was great. The family was helpful and easy to contact. The neighbors were awful about parking near their space but that's not the families fault.
Perfect way to start the new year with our family!!! Felt very cozy yet plenty of room for our family to stretch out. Even provided some Holiday decorations to help us feel in the spirit of the season. Great stay, hope to return again!!!
The location was ideal and the home delivered everything we expected and then some. Shopping and all attractions were very close by. The view was fabulous. We will book again.
