Welcome to Lakeview Lodge! Canandaigua's best kept secret! This spacious custom built log home is tucked away on a private drive and sits on 3 1/2 wooded acres overlooking the beautiful and scenic crystal clear waters of Canandaigua Lake. On the main and second floor this home boasts 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 full baths with 1 half bath, 2 large living areas,, and a spacious kitchen. With an additional queen size sofa bed in one of the living areas that make this a home perfect for a large family. There is also a full second kitchen in the basement along with a pool table room and also a great teen hang out room with IKEA furniture.
After a fun day at the lake or taking in one of the many local wineries or breweries enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the beautiful lake views on one of the two furnished covered porches. For cool evenings enjoy sitting on a beautiful flagstone patio with stone fire pit overlooking the lake and enjoy the breeze under the canopy of beautiful 60 foot trees.
For your furry four-legged family members their is a fenced side yard that will keep them close to you. As for the kids there is plenty of land to roam with a ravine and seasonal stream to work out all that excess energy. We are on a private drive with only two other houses and minimal traffic.
The kitchen has all of the amenities that you need to cook tasty meals including a commercial size grill for outdoor cooking.
If you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of wonderful restaurants and the New York Wine and Culinary School within five minutes of our home.
There is lake access to Onanda Park only a few miles away from our home which boasts areas for swimming, fishing, tennis, and hiking with waterfalls (A pass is provided with rental).
In the winter months after a long day of skiing at Bristol Mountain (only 11 miles away) wind down in the eight person Jacuzzi or sit by a crackling fire in one of the four custom wood burning fireplaces throughout the home, including the kitchen.
We are thrilled that you are considering a stay with us at Lakeview Lodge and look forward to spoiling you and making your stay a memorable one!
Although we do not have private lake access our house is just a short drive to several areas where there is lake access. One is only 1.2 miles from our front door and the other is 6 miles south of us (we provide the pass)! We are also only a short five minute drive to the pier where you can rent canoes, paddleboards, etc.

(Disclosure: We cater to families and laid back vacationers. If you are looking for a party house, we would not be your destination. We also do not allow weddings or parties to be held at our home as we want to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for our guests as well as our neighbors). Sincerely, Sherrie Anderson Owner of Lakeview Lodge
We were originally from Texas but moved here 12 years ago and fell in love with the crystal clear lakes, rolling hills, and especially the four seasons and all the activities that are available here for all of them. We have 8 children and have poured our heart into this place and look forward to sharing it with others. This is our first season renting as we take some time to travel this summer and possibly the winter as well. We hope that you will feel the Southern charm and hospitality that we want to share with you while you are there. Kids are completely welcomed and so is your dogs. Being a big family we realized that it is not easy to find places that can accommodate a large family or multiple families so we are glad to offer this spacious home to your family. Please let us know if you have any questions. We would love to tell you all about the area!

The view..the view...the view! And of course the log home has such a warm and homey feel. It's like bringing a little of the Adirondacks to the Finger Lakes! There is also more to do than you can imagine and wonderful shopping and dining.
There is nothing like waking up to beautiful sunrises peaking through the tall mature trees and sitting in the yard watching our kids play and explore. Love that we are hidden but only minutes away from Canandaigua's beautiful and historic main street!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at the Lodge! It was a perfect getaway. A beautiful home with beautiful scenery. We enjoyed building an afternoon fire, as well as a lot of ones inside at night. The spacious kitchen was the perfect place to cook big family meals. We saw lots of squirrels and even a few deer. We took a little day trip to wineries and a brewery. We enjoyed the Pumpkin Porter at the Twisted Rail Brewery in Canandaigua. We loved the grape pie and wine left for us when we arrived:-)
All in all, a wonderful cozy cabin during the fall was just perfect!
Our family week at Lakeview Lodge was just wonderful!! The pictures don't do the house justice. It was more house than us 9 adults needed. We didn't even use the downstairs area. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was amazing!! It was well stocked with everything you could possible need and the table was great for all of us to be able to eat together and play cards and games on. There was plenty of comfy chairs/couches for all of us to relax, read or watch the Olympics. We had a fire almost every night in the fire pit making smores and loved watching the deer come out at dusk and wander around. We didn't use the hot tub as much as we would have liked to because last week there were four days over 90 degrees, but it is very nice. The porches I think were our favorite part of the house. On the front porch, you have a great view of Canandaigua Lake and in the afternoon the back porch is shaded and usually has a little breeze. Thanks you Sherrie for answering any of our questions and for sharing your beautiful house with us. We would definitely recommend it to anyone that doesn't need to be right on the water and likes a quiet and peaceful vacation spot.
We enjoyed our one-week stay in the very spacious log home overlooking Canandaigua Lake. We had plenty of room for our three-generation family, including two dogs. We especially enjoyed the porches and the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable which made for a restful stay. There is a lot to do in the area, we toured the Corning Glass Museum, rented a pontoon boat, went to the horse races, and went on wine tastings. The owner of the property is extremely quick to answer questions both before and during the trip. We had a great vacation!
Our week at Lakeview Lodge was truly memorable. The setting is perfect. Close to beaches, hiking trails, stores and the waterpark. Not to mention the wineries. There was plenty of space for our family members totaling 12 - 7 adults and 5 children. Plenty to keep the kids busy and room to roam and play lawn games.
Sherrie was great to work with. She was always available if any needs arose. We loved it!
Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. There was 10 of us and this house was the perfect choice for our family. From the large kitchen table for us all to eat, to the huge front yard for the kids to play football. The front porch by far was probably the most popular place it is where everybody wanted to be to watch the sunrise and the sunset and in between.
Great house, great property, great location....
The Lodge fit our family perfectly. The location was great for the other activities we had planned for the week. All our children were able to come for part of the week.We had never been to that area before, but love it.There are so many things we did not have the time to see.
We had time to tell stories around the fire and at the dinner table. It felt like home the moment we walked in. Everything that you might need was there. I would not hesitate to come again. Thanks again.

Our long weekend away at Lakeview Lodge was a long time coming, due to the fact that we had to cancel our initial reservation and then post-pone our trip until the following year. This was not a problem for the Lodge's innkeepers, who accommodated our change without issue. Lakeview Lodge is a hidden gem in Canandaigua, New York. The website pictures provided about the Lodge depict it well. The setting itself is something to just stop and take in - from the expansive front porch (protected from wind and rain) to the large fire pit area in the front, underneath super tall trees that provide shade and are home to quite a few different varieties of woodland birds. You want to drop your luggage and just sit on that porch, put your feet up and take in the view of Canandaigua Lake from your easy chair. But then you open the door. This is exceptionally large, log-cabin living at it's best. Boasting two full kitchens and two full living rooms, it's fun to explore every room. Big enough for your largest family gathering, it also can be a very intimate and cozy setting with the electric and regular candles, comfy sofas and chairs, soft blankets to wrap yourself up in, and wooded privacy. Part of the Lodge is carpeted, which makes it easier on your dog if your bring him/her (there is also a fenced in portion of the property for your dog). Although just a car ride from Main Street in Canandaigua (pharmacy and food shopping is closely available), the Lodge is quiet and tucked away enough to make you feel like you are alone in the woods. Privacy allows you to nap on one of the hammocks, or use the hot-tub any time. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfy. We did notice a musty smell throughout the Lodge. We were told that the Lodge was vacant for about two weeks before our arrival. We opened windows and sprayed some Lysol around to help with that. If you have time, take a drive around Canandaigua Lake - the water front houses are impressive. Naples is only 20 minutes away by car, so be sure to stop by Monica's Pies and bring one back to the Lodge. You can take a dip in Canandaigua Lake with a short drive to the park - it's $5 per person to hang out at the beach portion of the park. The Innkeeper is available by phone or e-mail if you need to make a call. There is WiFi at the Lodge. Bring some bug spray because you will run into mosquitos as evening closes in. We are already planning another visit! Thank you, Sherrie!
