Black Bart House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Cabin On Culdesac With Gorgeous Mountain And Meadow Views

Welcome to our 'Cozy Cabin'

We fell in love with this house the minute we saw it, and we know you will too! This place truly defines the 'Tahoe Experience'. Located in the quiet, lovely Black Bart neighborhood, on a spacious, wooded lot, with a gorgeous meadow and stream across the way, you truly feel like you are away from it all. However, hop right on Pioneer Trail and you will be at Heavenly Ski Resort, the casinos, or the beach in just 5-10 minutes. Bijou Park with a skate park, playground, and fields are also within walking distance or a short bike ride away.

The charming house is located at the end of a culdesac, with no neighbors on either side. It is tucked away from the street, so it feels like you are secluded. Have kids? So do we. They will love running around and exploring the wooded lot, with NO traffic going by. We know our kids do!

Our cabin is newly renovated, top to bottom, with gorgeous wood floors, pine doors and trim, open, beautiful vaulted wood ceiling, granite counter-tops, and travertine tile.

Fast WiFi (N600 router) that has a strong signal throughout the house and will handle multiple devices with ease.

Keyless entry (4 digit code) makes it very convenient to come and go without having to carry a key. Especially convenient for larger groups since there is no need to share keys.

Downstairs, you will walk into a large open foyer, with the two bedrooms, a laundry room with brand new full size washer/dryer, and a mud room to keep all those jackets and snow boots out of the way.

The master bedroom, on the first floor, has it's own bathroom with a newly tiled shower, tub and granite topped vanity. It also has a cozy, romantic fireplace, ceiling fan, two closets, flatscreen TV, and French doors leading out onto the porch. You will love the queen size bed, with a brand new luxury plush mattress, soft pillows, and Pottery Barn bedding.

Also downstairs, the 'bunk room' has two sets of bunk beds, a flatscreen TV, Playstation 3 (with games), and lots of games for the kids to enjoy. It's a great place for the kids to hang out and have fun.

Both downstairs bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans. The home does not have air conditioning (as most Tahoe homes do not), however even in the summer the the nights are very cool and letting in the mountain air will be enough to cool you off.

Upstairs, you will be wowed by a large, open great room with brand new leather couches and a cozy floor to ceiling brick fireplace . A brand new 55' LG smart LCD TV (with internet access, Netflix, Hulu, etc), Blu-Ray DVD player, and a soundbar for rich theater sound. Want to listen to music? Just connect your mobile device (smartphone, iPOD, etc) to the soundbar for great sound.

The dining room table seats 8 and you will love enjoying the gorgeous view of Mt. Tallac right out the large picture window.

Adjacent to the open great room is the kitchen, with granite counter-tops, brand new appliances and a breakfast nook with seating for 4. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, blender, just about anything you need!

Just off the great room is a huge deck with a beautiful view of the meadow out front. The deck has a patio table for outdoor dining, chaise lounges, brand new BBQ, and a steaming hot tub ready to go.

Upstairs there are also two more bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, and one more bathroom. We splurged on super comfortable Sealy pillow top mattresses, soft pillows, and Pottery Barn bedding....so you are sure to have a good night's sleep every night.

We also just installed a brand new tankless water heater that never runs out of hot water....so your group can enjoy unlimited hot showers without ever worrying about running out of hot water.

There is also beach gear (beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler) that is available for guest use in the summer months.

Booking: Your reservation will be confirmed when the first payment and signed rental agreement have been received. Minimum age for renters is 25. For adult groups, everyone in the group must be 25 or older.

About Jamie Loosbrock

We recently bought our Tahoe dream home and are looking forward to making memories here with friends and family, and sharing our 'home away from home' with other families. We live in San Diego, and have two kids, ages 12 and 9. We grew up vacationing in Tahoe with our families, and it is a very special place to us.

Jamie Loosbrock purchased this house in 2013

Why Jamie Loosbrock chose South Lake Tahoe

We love this house because it feels like you are out in the woods, yet it is close to everything. Kids can run and play, and you don't have to worry about neighbors or cars going by. The meadow and mountain views are simply breathtaking. We absolutely love Tahoe and everything it has to offer, both winter and summer. We especially enjoy hiking, horseback riding, boating, jet skiing, all the beautiful beaches, lake activities, and of course just riding bikes around the neighborhood.

Great location. Perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with another family during Tour de Tahoe. It was a perfect set up - our family had the bottom floor (master suite & bunk room which our two boys loved) and the other family had the upstairs bedrooms. There was a nice spot for our hubbies to store their bikes near the foyer. Location is convenient- very close to grocery stores, restaurants, bike/running paths, etc. Our boys loved exploring in the forest right on the property and playing in the horseshoe pit. It's a very quiet street with no traffic so it's safe for children. We had a great time hanging out and dining on the beautiful deck. The owner is nice and easy to interact with. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Great Tahoe Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The Owners were great and the home had everything we needed. Being on a court, you don't have to worry about and traffic, but has the convenience of being right off Pioneer Trail and near everything. Had plenty of the room inside the house and deck area.

Heavenly is Heaven!

  • 3 of 5

Owner was very accommodating! The house was a perfect location to hit all the local ski areas. We were lucky to get hit with 17" of snow beginning of our stay, making spring skiing the best we had. The week was full of sun and blue skies. The Sierra mountain range is exceptional. Thank you for sharing your home, we enjoyed our visit.

Comfortable stay with elegant decks

  • 3 of 5

Overall, i believe my family and friends had a good time stayed at this cabin. Enough room to let the kids run and friends/family stay and chi/chat. Deck is beautifully done that we can oversee the hills and wildness. Location is close to places you desired and it's quite at night time too.

However, here are the things I believe the home owner should improve:

- water pressure is a huge issue. When someone is either washing hands in the downstair bathroom, or the same bathroom while taking shower, the water pressure reduced and hot water becomes cold water or really hot water. Because of this issue, i need to stay in the bathroom and test the water to ensure my kids don't get water burn. My kids are short so they can't reach the knob.

- Drive way is uneven, uphill slope, and there is no garage. During the winter storm (Dec 21th), because of the slope and uneven pavement, it's very difficult to drive to the drive way in or out, or even walking towards the car with family. Kids slip and fall few times that i had to carefully walk with them to/from the car.

- Kitchen ventilation is not going out. When turning on the ventilation, it recycles within the house and not going out, we had to open the window to let the smoke out.
