This 110 m2 apartment, located on the third story of an elevator building on the prestigious Carrer de Muntaner in L'Esquerra de l'Eixample, has beautiful period details, including original mosaic floors, high plaster ceilings, stain-glass windows and polished wooden archways. A modern fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom with shower, bathtub, and toilet, and another half-bath (toilet, sink and shower) offers the perfect combination of elegance and practicality.
There is a large master bedroom with an arched sitting area at the back of the apartment, while two smaller bedrooms, one windowed, one without, line the hallway, so that no bedroom faces the street, providing for a peaceful night's sleep. The large living room has six tall windows opening onto terraces, with couches and a television. An adjoining dining area comfortably seats 6.
Within walking distance to Placa Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, las Ramblas and the historic districts of El Born, El Raval and El Barrio Gotico the apartment is ideally located. Restaurants, shops, a supermarket, and public parking are all nearby.

About Owner/Property Manager
We are a NYC family. I used to come to Barcelona to shoot TV commercials and loved it, now I just visit for fun with the family. I plan to spend 6 months a year in Europe and use it as a base.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample
We wanted something that felt like it was part of Barcelona, not just a mod apartment you could find anywhere. There's some beautiful detail, and it's in one of the best areas. It's great for families because we get a nice big master and the kids have their own rooms.
What makes this Apartment unique
It is very sunny. The stores and restaurants in the surrounding blocks are first-rate. You can walk to the historic districts but you are not surrounded by tourists, so it feels more like a neighborhood you live in.
Great spacious location
We ( a party of six/ 4 adults and 2 children ) enjoyed our stay in this spacious well located apartment. The close by market Ninot is very convenient and we also walked to the Rambla de Catalunya , the El Nacional and other places from there. The metro is a not even five minute walk which was convenient with the kids. The property manager met us at our arrival (with cheese, fruit and chocolate!) and was very helpful afterwards too, because my mother had left something in the apartment. It was immediately sent to us afterwards!
Oh, and the boys loved the lego store 4 houses away!
Fabulous apartment in an amazing location!
My mother and I took my two children (8 and 5) to Barcelona for a week vacation. This apartment was the perfect place to call home during our stay. Despite major delays flying into Barcelona, Graciela met us at the apartment when we arrived and welcomed us with open arms. There was some issue with the Wi-Fi when we arrived, but she took care of getting it fixed within 24 hours. The apartment itself is really well located, just a short walk from all the major sites and within a short walk to some great restaurants - and a Lego store! The apartment was well appointed and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and there are several grocery stores within a short walk. The beds were incredibly comfortable and after a long trip there we all slept extremely well during the entire trip. Graciela checked in on us several times during our stay and took really good care of us. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great apartment in wonderful neighbourhood
We found the apartment clean and comfortable. It is bright and sunny, lots of light in the living room dining room. The property manager Graziela was very welocoming and helpful. The neighbourhood id fantastic. Very central, easy walk to everything. Great shops with lots of food wine etc. Many restaurants, two with michelin stars very close. Great trip
Very comfortable and convenient!
We spent six days in Barcelona and always enjoyed retreating to a comfortable home away from home after a full day of sightseeing or just walking the diverse neighborhoods just blocks from the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows kept me in bed longer than my usual sleep. The wall AC units worked great and the small kitchen was very practical with all the necessary pots and appliances, and a full size refrigerator! There was several cafes and restaurants within a three-block radius, as well as bars, grocery stores and a huge produce and meat market. Since there were seven of us, an additional full-size bath would have been nice. However we managed with the 1.5 bathrooms available. I would definitely recommend the apartments for small groups and families.
An absolute gem in the heart of Barcelona
My wife and three kids (ages 11, 13, and 15) spent five nights at this spectacular apartment in Barcelona at the end of June. It is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in an upscale residential neighborhood. It is walking distance to all the sights (10 - 20 min.), and a Metro station is nearby (5 - 10 min).
The apartment has beautiful original detail and mosaic tile, yet has modern (but small) kitchen and bathrooms (only one full bath, though). A really small building elevator is good for transporting luggage. David, Lisbeth, and Graciela made the process of booking, checking, and checking out incredibly easy and were gracious throughout. When we unexpectedly arrived late at night due to flight delays, Graciela met us at the apartment and gave us a warm and thorough introduction to the apartment and the city.
We enjoyed everything about our stay, would do it again, and highly recommend it!
