Beautiful and brand new 2 bedroom and den(with queen size bed ) coach house in fantastic neighbourhood. Stunning hardwood floors throughout, heated tile floors in both bathrooms, stainless steel appliances (including a double oven), quartz counter tops, air conditioning, flat screen Apple TV in living room, TV's in both bedrooms and den, stereo system with speakers throughout the house and on the deck and patio,

The top floor has 2 bedrooms, both with access to an outdoor deck. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of storage and closet space. The second bedroom has a bunk bed - double on the bottom and single on the top, and a large closet plus storage space. The upstairs bathroom has a tub and a shower.

On the main floor there is a kitchen, living room, den and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances (double oven, gas stove top, dishwasher, fridge and microwave), quartz counter tops, wood cabinets. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. There is a queen size sofa bed in the living room and in the den.The main floor bathroom has a shower. There is a full size stacking washer and dryer. Enjoy the fully fenced patio area outside your private entrance!

Our home is located in the heart of Vancouver within 3 minute walking distance to Canada line, Nat Bailey Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Park and the new Hillcrest pool & recreation center. Commute to downtown Vancouver on the Canada Line (3 stops to the center of the city) or the Vancouver International Airport within 15 minutes. The bus to UBC stops across the street.

Lots of trendy shopping and eateries within walking distance; located in the Main and Cambie corridor near Columbia Street and West King Edward Avenue in one of the closest housing subdivisions to the Vancouver downtown city core.

About Rory and Laura O'Flynn

We have been living in the Cambie area of Vancouver for the past 20 years and have owned this residence since 1996. We built this beautiful coach house on our property in 2013 and started renting it to visitors in June 2013.

We have watched this area blossom into a vibrant exciting neighborhood with exceptional transit convenience to the city center and surrounding areas of interest.

We often take advantage of the many eateries close by on Main st. and love to share a glass of fine red wine. We enjoy walks at Queen Elizabeth & Stanley Park as well as strolls or bike rides along the waterfront at Granville Island and False Creek. We have a very friendly dog that loves to fetch a ball on land or in the water.

We have also been spending our vacation time in the Okanagan for the past 20 years as well and just finished building a cabin on the water in Kelowna in 2011. We have decided to rent it out on a weekly basis during the summer months and monthly for the 9 mos starting October 1 through June 30. We would love to host your stays in both Vancouver and Kelowna/Vernon if your holiday plans permit.

We have met many interesting people from all over the world through this experience and look forward to hosting your stay and assisting you in maximizing the enjoyment of your time in Vancouver and/or in Kelowna.

We purchased this property because WE LOVE VANCOUVER! We wanted to be close to the city core and all that Vancouver has to offer, but close to parks and recreation for our growing family. We are steps from trendy Main Street and 1 1/2 blocks to the Canada Line. You can walk to the top of Queen Elizabeth Park or hop on the Canada Line and be downtown in 10 minutes.

What makes this house unique

The coach house is fully self contained including air conditioning, dishwasher and washer/dryer. You will have your own outdoor patio area with a bbq to enjoy a meal outside. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. There is a private deck off the two upstairs bedrooms, and there are 2 full bathrooms with heated tile floors. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and comfortable beds. There is a queen size sofa bed in the main floor den and in the living room. We pride ourselves in offering a clean and comfortable home away from home!

We had a great stay at the Coach House. Laura is a terrific, friendly hostess who provides excellent accommodations as well as wonderful recommendations for dinners and sight-seeing. The house is modern, clean and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The coach house is fantastic. Very clean, updated, and modern.

We stayed for a weekend in the coach house and enjoyed every minute of it. The house has modern wiring (electronic locks and controls of lights, etc) and is equipped with a bunch of TVs. A small "study" with a pull out couch, the living area, kitchen, bathroom with a shower, closet, and washer/dryer are on the first floor. Above are two bedrooms (one with a queen and one with a full/twin bunk bed), a balcony, and a bathroom including a tub. There is a small patio outside with a table, chairs, and a bbq. The house is nicely laid out, clean, and all finishes are updated. We found it very easy to get in and out of downtown. We had a car but we noticed that public transportation was not far away.

I think most people would be concerned that you wouldn't have privacy with a coach house but that is NOT case here. It is a quiet neighborhood.

If I return to the area, I would eagerly rent here again. Thank you Rory and Laura.

Wonderful rental in a great location

The coach house was a great spot. We had 6 adults in our group so each couple had their own space, though slightly tight when we all gathered in the main room . Nicely appointed kitchen with updated appliances and all the extras we required. Enjoyed the sound system once we figured it out. Bathrooms are beautiful. Parking was no problem for two cars.

One of the best parts for us since we were there to see the sights and take in some sport, was the location. It was super easy to get to downtown and we enjoyed the delicious food options on Main and Cambie. Really appreciate the cinnamon rolls - a great surprise and so delicious and Laura's quick response for restaurant suggestions. She didn't steer us wrong. We had a beer at Portland Craft and food at The Fish Counter that left us wanting more. And for a real treat, check out the Shameful Tiki Bar. I would come stay here again for sure.

High end haven in a great location

We had a wonderful stay here during a family reunion event. The coach house was exactly as shown, roomy, spotlessly kept with a fantastic well-equipped kitchen. It was great to come home after a long day to comfort and calm, knowing that we had everything at hand to make snacks, drinks, breakfasts. We certainly could have prepared a meal there but this was also a holiday, and there are many trendy restaurants steps away on Main St. The owners were prompt to reply to our queries, however minor! The high tech sound system proved a bit of a challenge -- more detailed instructions for the technologically-challenged would be our only comment. Others have noted a lack of mirrors, again not a big point, but a magnifying make-up mirror would be a convenience. The beds were all comfy and the closets - wow, I want one like that in my home, with lots of accessible shelving and a light in it. Excellent use of space. Lighting was adjustable and plentiful, and while the weather did not allow for any sitting outside, having the light from the upstairs balcony doors gave a spacious feel. The location of the coach house was perfect, easy to get downtown, or to west or east end of the city. Roomy parking spot was great -- easy to get in and out from the lane. Shopping on Main Street is also handy, with locally sourced product shops, groceries, and dining. We heartily recommend the coach house to anyone who is looking for a treat for a multi-day stay in Vancouver.

Great little Coach House with all the comforts of home !

Just spent 7 nights in the coach house with two travelling companions. Loved that we each had our own space. The coach house was exactly as presented in the ad, exceptionally clean and quite upscale . Lovely, well stocked kitchen, with dinner service for 12. Laura and Rory have stocked the kitchen with any appliances and/or gadgets that might be required to prepare a full meal. No skimping!! Basic condiments and oils, some teas and coffee were also provided which is certainly a nice touch. The coach house itself was new, modern and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of nice towels were provided in each of the bathrooms with extras in the bedroom closet. There was a balcony shared between the two upstairs bedrooms which was nice, as well, the hosts have provided a nice patio area and BBQ (we were too busy to use but a nice touch for sure). Parking provided was very convenient as we had a rental for the full time we were on vacation. Washer and dryer in the unit and again, hosts provided some laundry soap etc. The coach house had new televisions in each bedroom and in the main living area and the unit was programmed for music throughout, as well as on the patio. Very modern !

Met Laura briefly upon arrival and again on departure. Enjoyed our privacy but appreciated that Laura offered to assist us in any way with recommendations etc. to enhance our vacation. Delicious welcome gift of cinnamon buns upon our arrival !!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would not hesitate for a minute to return to the beautiful coach house or recommend to anyone looking for some additional space with all the creature comforts of home. Thank you Laura and Rory for putting such thought into the unit!!

Only suggestion as mentioned in previous reviews would be an additional full length mirror in either of the upstairs bedrooms. We only had three women travelling together but with a larger group this would make getting ready to go out much easier.

Beautiful place. Perfect for the end of our Alaskan cruise/family vacation.

What a beautiful place! So tastefully decorated! We enjoyed our stay there. Close to Canada line so easy to get into town once we figured out how the lines work together. Laura was so helpful and those cinnamon buns that was waiting for us was delicious!
