The Ridge at Silver Lake, one of the Upper Deer Valley's most sought after communities, was built as one of the premier communities in the area. There are only 24 units in this quiet enclave each with fantastic views. You will notice that the architect and builder of these units certainly had a good eye for details from the 2-story high wood beamed ceiling in the living room to the abundance of windows which take advantage of the stunning views and warming sunlight to the 2 car garage. The details reflect the high quality that Deer Valley is known for. We offer so many amenities and extras from 2 pack n' play cribs, to over 100 family friendly DVD's plus free access to 20,000 movies on Netflix and HULU Plus (easy access with the push of a button on each smart TV remote), a huge collection of toys, games, books, dolls, dress up clothes, stuffed animals, side rails for the beds, high chair, even a rocker for very small children. Our kitchen cabinets are stocked from olive oil, vinegar, balsamic vinegar, sugar, coffee, creamer, tea, dozens of spices, hot cocoa, and more. We want our guests to feel right at home and spend more time together as a family and on the slopes instead of shopping for the basics. This property has been professionally updated including adding new furniture throughout, new carpeting, new artwork, new kitchen appliances, new granite counters and slate floors in 3 bathrooms, faux painting, new plumbing fixtures, new door hardware, new Jacuzzi tub in master, new flat screen TV's, 20,000 Movies to choose from on NETFLIX STREAMING, Blue Ray DVD players and top of the line sound system, etc. WE ALSO HAVE XBOX 360 AND WII FOR OUR GUESTS. A leisurely five minute walk will bring you to nine quality restaurants (including Mariposa which Zagat rated best in the state and another rated as having one of the best wine cellars in the world!), the shops of Silver Lake Village, the Silver Lake Lodge, and the five-diamond Stein Eriksen Lodge. Drive 5 minutes down the mountain and you will be in Park City's lovely downtown. Our family lives in Florida and goes to Deer Valley every March during our children's Spring Break and then most of the summer. It is our favorite place to ski in the winters and to enjoy the outdoors during the summer and fall. We hope you can enjoy our home and see why more families choose our town home than almost any other property in Deer Valley (over 90% occupancy compared to average occupancy rate of under 50% for comparable properties).

We looked at dozens of properties in Deer Valley and the Ridge at Silver Lake community stood out far ahead of every other property. Why? It is an easy 5 minute walk to the slopes of Upper Deer Valley. Upper Deer Valley also called Silver Lake is the mid-mountain area of Deer Valley and so it is much less crowded than lower Deer Valley (also known as Snow Park). Only the guests and owners in Silver Lake start out their skiing here so it is much more enjoyable to begin your ski day here. Also, there are 9 wonderful restaurants within walking distance (including Stein Eriksen's, Mariposa, and Goldener Hirsch) along with shops within the Silver Lake Village area. In Snow Park there are no restaurants to walk to and enjoy so when the slopes are closed you must drive to downtown Park City for dining.
A few other notes. Our town home is close to the slopes yet is off the main road so it offers privacy along with fantastic views of the slopes of Deer Valley. It is also an easy 1.9 mile drive down to Park City's main street. Salt Lake City is an easy 30-40 minute drive and there are many direct flights to cities around the country. This easy access was a big reason that Salt Lake City and Deer Valley hosted the Winter Olympics. Also, there are many choices for enjoying other nearby ski resorts Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons, Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbasin, Sundance, Powder Mountain, and Wolf Mountain.
Our property is literally a 5 minute walk from the Silver Lake Village, mid-mountain slopes of Deer Valley, numerous wonderful restaurants, and the spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge. It also has plenty of space allowing our children to play outside during the winter as well as the summer (we spend two months during the summer here every year). It is very private yet so close to the mountain, downtown Park City (1.9 mile drive) and Salt Lake City International Airport (30-40 minutes).
Out townhome has been remodeled completely from top to bottom (unlike most other properties which are often quite dated). We cater to families with children (unlike most other properties in the area). We also can help our guests get access to the best ski rental equipment, and discounted lift tickets.
I just wanted to share my love and appreciation for allowing me and my family the opportunity of sharing your home away from home.
This has been the most memorable of all!! I was in and out of that hot tub with my grandchildren. I slept downstairs in the bunk bed with them, etc., etc.

The Hering unit is very spacious and very well appointed. They have tried to make it as close to your own home environment as possible including internet, food supplie and the like. Our family thought it was among the best properties we have stayed at across many locales. There are some drawbacks, however. Though advertised as ski-in/ski-out, you have either a 7 or 8 minute walk to Silver Lake Lodge or a walk to a downhill trail from which you cannot return. I guess the definition of ski-in/ski-out may vary, but you will not be able to leave the unit and put on your skis within a few feet of the door. The larger beds were very soft, but that is, of course, a matter of taste. Finally, the management company was not as responsive as it should have been to problems. These problems combined do not make the unit at all undesirable, but one should reflect upon them before contracting.
Our family from Sydney Australia stayed for a great week of skiing earlier this year and we have just booked again for 2017. When I say it's a home-away-from home, what I really mean is that the mountain home is just like your best friend let you move into his home while he was away. Everything is there; heaps of DVDs, CDs and a top Bose sound system, Pay TV, a multi power adaptor for iPhones etc etc. With plenty of great space for all the family and a wonderful outside hot tub which is very private. For skiing it's just terrific, a short 5 minute walk to the slopes of what must be the friendliest ski resort going and what fabulous Utah snow.
We loved staying at Martin and Susan's lovely Deer Valley mountain retreat. The home's location is perfect - a quiet neighborhood where hiking, biking and ski trails are only a 5 minutes walk away. Plus there are numerous wonderful restaurants to enjoy within a few minutes of walking in the Silver Lake Village. Downtown Park City with its many shops and dining options is only a few minutes drive (or free bus ride) away. We have traveled and lived around the world and what we really appreciate in the lodging is the attention to small details and service. Martin and Susan's home is beautifully decorated yet is not pretentious. It is perfect for family's with and without children. We look forward to continuing our tradition in staying at this special home.
This townhome is certainly one of the finest VRBO properties that I have had the pleasure to rent. It boasts a wonderful location (5 minutes from the lift at mid-mountain), very clean, well appointed (owner has supplied all that you desire during your stay) comfortable upscale furnishings and electronics, easy access to fabulous owner for any questions or concerns you may have, private garage and a beautiful community. Nature abounds around you, including the numerous grouse perched in the pine trees, deer and moose are a common sight. Luxuriously appointed bedrooms with sumptuous linens, fluffy soft towels, TV's for everyone.
This is an absolute "must" for those looking for an over the top Deer Valley experience........all the pleasures that you would expect and deserve.

Our family has rented this townhome each year for the past few years. We would strongly recommend in for families as it is within walking distance to Silver Lake Village at Deer Valley. Great restaurants are also very close. The layout of the unit is good with a master suite upstairs. Owner takes good care of the unit and is very helpful with recommendations. We would highly recommend this unit for a great vacation!
We loved every aspect of our stay at this beautiful Deer Valley retreat. Our family was fortunate to book this condo during the Thanksgiving holiday and we were delighted to find that the fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving feast. This condo is not only exceptionally appointed and beautifully decorated, but has every amenity needed for a family, including video games, toys for kids, movies, plentiful seating and a spacious hot tub. Even though the condo is situated in a community, it was very private and quiet. It was easy to find and was walking distance of the nearest ski resort. We could tell there was a lot of thought that went into furnishing and equipping this home and we will definitely be returning.
