Central location, private patio, easy access to all that Victoria has to offer
The Jubilee Guest House is an excellent vacation property. It is very clean and had everything we required during our stay. The location is also great, not far from downtown Victoria and from the highway leading north to Swartz Bay.
We love going to Victoria and this home was lovely. We stayed for 10 days in April and had lovely weather. The home was clean and nice location. The kitchen was stocked with some cooking essential items which I appreciated. Has a Keurig for single serve coffee. The kitchen could've used a paring knife and a chopping blade, there are serrated knives but did not work well for cutting fruit and veg. The Laundry area had soap and dryer balls which left our clothing with static afterward. Bathroom has heated floor and shampoo/conditioner and hair dryer. Bay street is a rather busy street. It took a night for me to get used to traffic noise and the hospital is near by so heard sirens a few times. Typical city living really. The patio is beautiful. Landscaped and fairly private. There is an automatic retractable awning which was good to keep the house cooler on the hot days. The wi-fi was intermittent and had a better connection in some rooms than others. Plenty of room to park. I loved the easy check-in and check-out as we did have a rather early flight the day we left. I would definitely recommend this home and stay there again.
The place was spotless. We had everything we needed. Renovated with great taste. Garden and yard added to the pleasurable time spent in this home. Checking in and out was easy. Detailed instructions and helpful owner. Our questions were answered promptly. Location was perfect. Close to downtown, (yet, away from the hustle and bustle) close to Cook Street Village, Market on Yates and easy access to many other places we wanted to visit. We recommend this place with no hesitation. We very much felt at home and would go back to Jubilee Guest House any time. p.s. Take a walk and check out the little square near by. It felt like we were transported in Europe for a moment... ( Giving it a 4 stars because it only has one bathroom and would recommend more quality knives for the chef in the house. Otherwise, everything was perfect)
Thank you Alyssa!
We only stayed here for one night on our road trip of British Columbia but we loved it. A beautiful property with fantastic facilities that was very comfortable for 4 of us (3 adults, 1 toddler) and in a great location for downtown. Alyssa couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable, providing us with easy access, lots of suggestions and information on sight-seeing and places to eat and some toys for the little one. Thank you for making our stay memorable!
Just came back from a wonderful stay at the Jubilee house. Stayed there with my husband, 4 kids (8,6,3,and 1), and mom and had lots of room for everyone. The house was just like the pictures, beautifully decorated. The location was central to everywhere we wanted to go... Goldstream Provinical Park, Sooke Potholes, Butchart Gardens, and of course close to downtown. The keyless entry was also great. Alyssa was also easy to get a hold of and always responded quickly to our concerns. Alyssa also provided toys and books for the kids, and a high chair and playpen for our one year old. It was just like being at home. We'll definitely be back for a repeat visit!
Our group of six spent one night here while visiting Victoria to sightsee. The location was fantastic and a short drive to downtown. The unit was beautifully renovated and everything looked brand new and clean. There was lots of room for a large group to eat at the inside or outside tables. Check in and out was easy and we liked the keyless entry system. We didn't have any children with us, but there were toys for little ones in the unit which was a nice touch. We would definitely return and recommend it to others!
