Morning Dew is a stunning home on crystal clear Cayuga Lake. This home boasts a level yard and a walkout basement that is just steps to more than 40 feet of private lake frontage with a large dock that gets you out into pristine water for some great swimming and prime fishing territory.
The home is over 1500 square feet, with an open design that takes advantage of the 180 degree lake views. With sliding glass doors and a giant picture window overlooking the huge deck, dock and lake, you will always have a lake view wherever you go throughout the house. The house is fully winterized with central heat, and is available all year long.
Inside, there is space for 6-8 people to sleep comfortably. The master bedroom is on the main floor and has one queen bed and its own private sliding glass door that has you waking up to spectacular views. Upstairs there are three other sleeping areas- one large bedroom with two queen beds, a smaller open bedroom with one double bed, and a loft area with a full size futon; all with views of the lake.
New for 2015 is a whole house AC system that will keep you comfortable without the old window units distracting you from spectacular views. Add in the ceiling fans located throughout the house, and the lake breeze, you and your family will stay comfortable day and night.
To make your stay as relaxing as possible, Morning Dew is well outfitted for your use, and includes a washer and dryer and a well equipped kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. For your entertainment, the home has a 47’ TV, cable, WiFi, Sonos stereo system, board games and two fishing kayaks. Outside you will enjoy the gated deck overlooking the lake, gas fire pit on the deck, wood fire pit by the water, and a large gas grill.
But that is just the beginning. Morning Dew is located in some of the most desirable parts of the lake area, as it is situated just south of the Cayuga State Park. The park begins ½ mile to the North and offers public amenities such as a sandy beach, a boat launch and wonderful updated playground, all within a short 10 min walk.
Looking for something to eat? Less than 1 mile in either direction by foot, car, bike, or boat gets you to some local favorites; Wolffies Restaurant, as well as Jimmy's Lakeside at the Deerhead Inn. Both have docks on the lake, wonderful views and full lunch and dinner menus.
Finally, Morning Dew is at the beginning of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail; giving you accesses to some of the finest wines the Finger Lakes area has to offer. Layer in Seneca Falls historical sites, 4 golf courses within 5 miles, Taughannock Falls and Buttermilk Falls, Waterloo Premium Outlets and the beautiful town of Ithaca, you and your family will have an unforgettable vacation.

Family with 2 children and a love for the Lake life. We use this as our vacation home as well!
David and Lisa purchased this house in 2013
The location sold it for us. With a level lot, walking proximity to restaurants, a beach and a convenient store, as well as the newly updated home itself, we realized that this was an unbelievable find. It was love at first sight for us.
This home was renovated back in 1980 and then again updated in 2009, but the true draw for this home is its location on the lake and it's level property. This rare feature allows quick access to the water, and unparalleled views.
To me the highlight of this property is it's location directly on the lakefront and the large deck with lots of furniture. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Lots of birds flying over the lake - the best for me were the herons and osprey. Very cool. Lots of sleeping space upstairs and one bedroom downstairs with more privacy and a view of the lake. I hope to return here one day.
property was great! Felt like being in my own home. The view of the lake was awesome! Would definitely rent again from you. Thank you for sharing your home.
Beautiful home right on Lake Cayuga! Fun points of interest along the way... Perfect location, lots of fun... We will be back!!!
Such a beautiful and over the top home! We had the best time and will be back. Hands down the best sunrise I have ever seen!
Thank you Dave and Lisa for creating a beautiful haven. Those little details made the house enjoyable...nice big chaste on the patio, indoor sound system, electric wine opener, air conditioning and a secure fence on the outside patio for small ones or pets.
My family and I rent every summer and I have to say this place ranks as number one. I felt there was plenty of privacy when I wanted to relax but we were close enough to the wineries and other attractions when we wanted to get out for a bit.
I had my own kayack but it was nice knowing that the owner was willing to share theirs. Of course we loved the fire pit and the ability to grill.
If I had to ask for "improvement" I would just ask for a railing coming in the house and maybe a nonslip mat in the bathtub. I'm going through a trial in my ability to walk. My mom had the downstairs bedroom but it was a tad more difficult for me because I had to navigate the stairs. I know most people are fully ambulatory. That's my small take on things.
Everything was very clean and comfortable
Our family stayed at Morning Dew the last week of June. The weather was perfect. The house was clean and perfectly sized for three couples, although it could hold more. Our morning routine consisted of taking our morning coffee down to the dock and dropping fishing lines into the water. We caught a lot of fish, including some big bass. There is plenty of things to do in the area as well as being a quiet relaxing place to stay. We visited some wineries and the state parks near by. Our favorite was Watkins Glen. Hiking the gorge full of waterfalls was great. We also rented a pontoon boat to explore the lake. Boating next to the wildlife preserve, we were lucky enough to see a bald eagle family! The only thing that could be improved upon is having some bedside lamps for those of us that like to read before bed. The owner was very helpful with any questions. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
