3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Bathroom, Sleeps 8 (6 Adults and 2 Children Max)

Morning Dew is a stunning home on crystal clear Cayuga Lake. This home boasts a level yard and a walkout basement that is just steps to more than 40 feet of private lake frontage with a large dock that gets you out into pristine water for some great swimming and prime fishing territory.

The home is over 1500 square feet, with an open design that takes advantage of the 180 degree lake views. With sliding glass doors and a giant picture window overlooking the huge deck, dock and lake, you will always have a lake view wherever you go throughout the house. The house is fully winterized with central heat, and is available all year long.

Inside, there is space for 6-8 people to sleep comfortably. The master bedroom is on the main floor and has one queen bed and its own private sliding glass door that has you waking up to spectacular views. Upstairs there are three other sleeping areas- one large bedroom with two queen beds, a smaller open bedroom with one double bed, and a loft area with a full size futon; all with views of the lake.

New for 2017 is a completely refinished deck, dock and Add to dictionary, including updated landscaping. Additionally, we have a whole house AC system that will keep you comfortable without the old window units distracting you from spectacular views. Add in the ceiling fans located throughout the house, and the lake breeze, you and your family will stay comfortable day and night.

To make your stay as relaxing as possible, Morning Dew is well outfitted for your use, and includes a washer and dryer and a well equipped kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. For your entertainment, the home has a 47’ TV, cable, WiFi, Sonos stereo system, board games and two fishing kayaks. Outside you will enjoy the gated deck overlooking the lake, gas fire pit on the deck, wood fire pit by the water, and a large gas grill.

But that is just the beginning. Morning Dew is located in some of the most desirable parts of the lake area, as it is situated just south of the Cayuga State Park. The park begins ½ mile to the North and offers public amenities such as a sandy beach, a boat launch and wonderful updated playground, all within a short 10 min walk.

Looking for something to eat? Less than 1 mile in either direction by foot, car, bike, or boat gets you to some local favorites; Wolffies Restaurant, as well as Jimmy's Lakeside at the Deerhead Inn. Both have docks on the lake, wonderful views and full lunch and dinner menus.

Finally, Morning Dew is at the beginning of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail; giving you accesses to some of the finest wines the Finger Lakes area has to offer. Layer in Seneca Falls historical sites, 4 golf courses within 5 miles, Taughannock Falls and Buttermilk Falls, Waterloo Premium Outlets and the beautiful town of Ithaca. And if that wasn't enough, the brand new Del Lago Casino is less than 7 miles from the home. With all the things to do, you and your family will have an unforgettable vacation.

Walk out in the Morning Dew today.

Occupancy includes pillows and comforters. You must bring your own linens. If booking between Columbus Day and Memorial day, please note that the dock will be out of the water and the patio furnature may be in storage for the winter.

About David and Lisa

Family with 2 children and a love for the Lake life. We use this as our vacation home as well!

David and Lisa purchased this house in 2013

Why David and Lisa chose Finger Lakes

The location sold it for us. With a level lot, walking proximity to restaurants, a beach and a convenient store, as well as the newly updated home itself, we realized that this was an unbelievable find. It was love at first sight for us.

What makes this house unique

This home was renovated back in 1980 and then again updated in 2009, but the true draw for this home is its location on the lake and it's level property. This rare feature allows quick access to the water, and unparalleled views.

Wonderful lake house

  • 5 of 5

The house is right on the lakefront and the views are beautiful! The kitchen is upgraded, rooms are spacious, and dock is awesome for having a glass of wine and watching the sunset. The house so super close to the Cayuga wine trail which has amazing little wineries where you grab a drink and bite with incredible views of the lake.

David and Lisa were fast to respond to any questions and really made us feel at home. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Outstanding all around!

  • 5 of 5

First of all the property is what was presented. Modern, clean and clearly kept up nicely. We spent three nights here while visiting our daughter at college and felt so at home here vs a hotel. Convenient location and great relaxing view of the water while having morning coffee and listening to the geese congregate! Highly recommend and will definatley return here! Thank you David and Lisa!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind review Debbie. You and your family were wonderful guest and we would be happy to have you stay with us again. Although the sights and sounds of the Geese is so unique to the winter months, the Summer and early Fall at the lake is spectacular as well. We look forward to having you stay with us aging. Beautiful house, great location!!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at your house 2 years ago and loved it! The biggest, but certainly not the only, selling point for us was the fact that we could take our dogs and, most importantly, the deck has a gate! However, since our stay 2 years ago, the property is in some decline. The deck really needs to be refinished, the knobs on all the cupboards are loose and there are no juice glasses.

Owner's Response: Dear Cheryl, Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry that there were things that did not meet your expectations, and caused anything other than a five star rating as we take pride in our guests comfort and we want to make sure we do everything we can to make our guests stay as great as possible. Your feedback is an important part of that effort. We appreciate hearing about the juice glasses and the knobs on the cabinets as neither had been brought up before and will be addressed. Aditionaly, the deck was being prepped for refinishing during your stay. The wet spring delayed the maintenance at the beginning of the season, however 2 weeks latter, the deck, docks and house were completely refinished. We understand that things happen from time to time, but we also believe that the only way to improve is to communicate with our renters, and we want to make sure that we deliver the best possible vacation experience possible. Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to having you stay at Morning Dew again soon. Sincerely, David and Lisa

Perfect Lakeside Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Morning Dew was perfect for our 4 day stay in Seneca Falls. The house provided all of our needs and the views from the deck were breathtaking, especially with the full moon we had. Every bedroom had a view of the lake. Our friend fished every day and every day he caught quite a few releasing them back into the lake. The town of Seneca was close and there were great restaurants up and down the road that this home sits on. Our wine tour day was a blast and there was something for everyone in our group as there are distilleries and brewing companies along the way, in addition to the vineyards. Thank you David and Lisa for the great communications via this site and phone conversations leading up to our stay. You answered all of our questions in advance which was very helpful. Thank you also for the opportunity to rent your beautiful home!

September Morning Dew

  • 4 of 5

A great lakeside retreat on Cayuga! Clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The only thing holding back from 5 stars is having to bring our own bed linens and towels. Not having to do this would be a welcome amenity. That said, I'd still book this property again. Thanks David and Lisa for sharing your house with us!

Owner's Response: Thank you Barb, We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We have gone back and forth around offering linens. Our guests comfort is of primary importance and with the tight turnaround time between stays, it is a challenge to maintain during the summer months. We will continue to explore diffrent options around this as we understand it is a concern and any suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you for your feedback, and we look forward to having you stay with us again for you next vacation. David and Lisa

Everyone should explore this area

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful area to explore and if you love wine, and we do, you can't go wrong. Beer, too! We had a great time exploring a new area for us and the house had everything (except linens, which is a bit of a challenge) and was right on the lake with a lovely view. We walked to two nearby restaurants for dinner a couple of times, explored Seneca Lake's Northeastern end and Shaneateles lake and scenic cruise. We had a great time, but you did have to drive to tour winery's or go on a bus tour which might have been fun. We drove. Highly recommend lunch at The Thirsty Owl and a stop at The Boathouse Beer Garden, as well as visits to all the vineyards you have time for. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback Robert. We are so happy that you had a great stay. We go back and forth around how to offer our guest linens but with the tight turnaround brtween guests during the summer months, it becomes a challenge. We continue to explore different options on this and we welcome any suggestions you might have. The restaurants that you suggested are great options in the area and as you've experienced. The Vineyards, Wineries and Breweries are truly amazing. Next time you should also check out the distillery's. I never tire of spending a Saturday doing a taste testing day! Thank you again for staying with us and we look forward to you coming back on your next vacation. David and Lisa
