The DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE is an Awesome 2 bedroom Vacation Home for rent on four acres of lush tropical land with enchanting panoramic ocean views, only five minutes from one of the best snorkeling locations in Hawaii and an enchanting Bay where the wild dolphins love to come to play, to mate and to rest.
This magical vacation home is tastefully decorated with dolphin decor and is located on Middle Keei Road in Captain Cook, about 30 minutes South of Kona. The property is a secluded, retreat oasis, surrounded by mangos, coconut palms & tropical flowering trees and is very close to Two-Step Beach.
The DOLPIN DREAM HOUSE is an awesome place to enjoy time with family and friends and enjoy the fantastic ocean spots, where dolphins and turtles have their homes.
The home has a huge wrap around Lanai with spectacular ocean views, and a variety of nice tropical rattan furniture. There are two bedrooms one with King canopy bed and 1 with Queen bed as well as two fold out Queen beds and extra sofas to accommodate a group of six to ten.

At night, from the living room and the expansive deck you can see the reflections of the moonlight shimmering on the ocean.
The kitchen is very modern and features granite counter tops, gas range top and full size brand new electric wall oven. The DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE also comes equipped with a vintage jukebox containing hits from the 60's.
The living room is spacious and bright and the house has two modern bathrooms.
We have always been enchanted with life under the sea and were drawn to this magical area to swim with the dolphins, communicate with them, and live in harmony with nature. We work as documentary filmmakers making films that have a positive message to humanity and encourage the conservation of the dolphins & the whales, and the oceans and rivers of our planet.
JONATHON KAY purchased this house in 2013
We had always dreamed of owning a property with acreage in this area. We were drawn to this area due to our love of the dolphins. To us this is the most beautiful area in the world to live where we can experience wild dolphins each month of our lives and enjoy the peace and tranquility of living immersed in nature. This property especially called out to us as it is a natural 'Shangri-La' rich with the magical views of the ocean, fantastic orange sunsets that are out of this world, coconut palms producing coconuts that you can drink the milk from while
enjoying the sunsets, star-fruit trees, mangos, avocados, mac nut trees, and much much more!
The large wrap around lanai (wooden deck) providing enchanting panoramic views of the ocean is one of our favorite features of the DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE. We had glass panels and beautiful wood railings installed on the deck and it is our favorite place to enjoy breakfasts, lunches and dinners, margaritas, fine wine and romantic evenings. We also love it that you can wake up and see Plumeria flower blossoms in the trees from the bedrooms and hear the sweet sounds of birds singing, and can walk out on the grounds and pick avocados or starfruit which are so juicy and so delicious. Being only a five minute drive from the beaches where we go swimming with wild dolphins is Awesome!~
We spent a week at the Dolphin Dream House. The initial drive up to the house is a not for the faint of heart but once you get there, it is a lovely place to unwind after full days of touring. The lanai is the best room in the house! Great sunsets and a great view of the ocean while having breakfast. The beds were both very comfortable. We had 3 adults staying in the house and there was more room than we needed. It could easily accommodate a family of 6 or even 8. This is a great part of the Island, allowing one to explore sites that you may not find if staying in the Kona area. There is so much to do. Jonathon was very helpful with giving us information on things to do and see in the area. We had one maintenance issue, and it was fixed within the day. We would be happy to stay at Dophin Dream House again.
Place was great..... Just what we hoped for ..... Driveway was a bit rough but we were warned and prepared.... Utmost beautiful scenery and sunsets there were incredible !
Our family very much enjoyed our stay at the DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE from January 1-5, 2016.
My wife and I loved waking up to have breakfast on the huge deck overlooking the ocean, being surrounded by nature, and eating fresh starfruit which we picked right from the tree on the property, and enjoying the beautiful sunset over the ocean which we could see from the deck every day of our stay.
The DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen is super clean and very modern with a gas range top on an island and new stainless steel wall oven. The two bathrooms were also very clean and modern. We could see that the owners and their staff take great pride in keeping the home clean, well maintained and fully equipped.
We parked our rental car at the front of the driveway at the designate parking space and walked up the driveway 4 minutes to the house. This place is amazingly beautiful. The home is situated on four acres of beautiful, lush, exquisite Hawaiian land = abundant with beautiful tropical vegetation. We picked the flowers that Hawaiian Leis are made, from the Plumeria tree near the house, and enjoyed the avocados fresh from the avocado tree near the driveway.
We took our four year old son swimming with wild dolphins at two-step beach which is only about ten minutes from the house, and he loved the dolphins so much. We read that swimming with dolphins is very positive for the development of children. The dolphins totally connected with Logan and the experience was fantastic. This was one of the most beautiful vacations that we have ever experienced. We highly recommend the DOLPHIN DREAM HOUSE and we will be returning for our second vacation there as soon as we can, hopefully this summer!
I stayed at the Dolphin Dream House with my partner for a week, the house and the experience was lovely, the owner is a very nice person, generous, and gave us so many beach references to go and swim with dolphins. They house is located in a fantastic location with spectacular views and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets everyday and having each of our meals in the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and tropical scenery.
We slept in an awesome canopy queen size bed, the kitchen and the bathrooms were super clean and the kitchen was well equipped.
We found the Dolphin Dream House to be very private and quiet and the most wonderful vacation spot that we've experienced.
We highly recommend it!
