In Amazing West Seattle, only 12 miles to Downtown Seattle.
About Kyle Winslow
We lived in the older home on the property for four years before we built the new house and carriage house. The gardens were finished in 2002. Many of the plants are from the Endolyne Garden Club plant exchange each year. There are Apple, Quince, Fig, and a few Plum trees. The other edibles include huckleberries, sage, rosemary, parsley, and lovage. In the vegetable garden we usually grow blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, artichokes, asparagus, rhubarb, beans, cucumbers, carrots, greens, and many, many tomatoes. There are about 30 pots of annuals around the property. There is a greenhouse and chickens as well. You are more than welcome to walk through the vegetable garden and grab a ripe tomato in season.
Kyle Winslow purchased this Cottage in 1997
Why Kyle Winslow chose Seattle
We live here in West Seattle because it has wonderful views and sunsets, and is not pretentious. Lately it has become very hip and trendy with great restaurants and wonderful bike trails. Many many families live in this area, and the community has a nice friendly feel.
What makes this Cottage unique
Better than downtown Seattle because: Great kitchen. Way More Quiet. Closer to the airport using a car. Nice Parking. Great walking trails along the water. More fun wildlife - ( our property has a backyard wildlife sanctuary designation) Coyotes, Raccoons, Grey Herons, Eagles, River Otters, Harbor Seals, Daul Porpose and every once and aa while an Orca.

Amazing home away from home
We loved our time at the carriage house. Michael and Kyle were so hospitable. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. The house was stocked with kitchen essentials and we were able to make a delicious 1st anniversary breakfast and dinner, all while enjoying the view of the Sound from our table. Beautiful gardens to walk through and the waterfall outside the bedroom window was very peaceful. We would definitely come back!
Cute little house
Loved our stay here. The view of and from the property was amazing. The wood burning stove is a fun touch. My dogs loved laying in front of it.
Two Days Too Short
This is a GREAT little place. My wide and I needed a little time together. We took this place for the few days we had at the end of Spring Break. It was wonderful. Close to the water, easy to get to the city and close for us to stock up and save money by eating at "home".
Plus its pet friendly and they even provide a huge dog bed, Kona loved it!
We plan to be back!!
Charming studio (used as respite stay with small dog)
Nice quiet studio, modern and contemporary, spotless LR, BR and kitchen, nice shower. Seems like a charming cottage, gas stove fireplace (more than adequate for cool nights), with a garden in the back, rock step stones, built above a garage, close to other dwellings. Peekaboo view of water. A block or two away from a waterfront city park, up a small paved hill but an easy walk. Fine for a writer's retreat/respite.
Great launching spot for Puget Sound adventures!
This west Seattle carriage house is both a peaceful oasis and a perfect launching spot for Puget Sound adventures. We can’t wait to come back when we have more time for exploring!
Lovely little house!
The carriage house is just lovely, and was perfect for me and my husband during our six-day visit to Seattle. The bed was comfortable and the house is nicely appointed; we had everything we needed during our stay. One of the best things is that we learned a lot about West Seattle that we never would have otherwise! We enjoyed visiting Alki Beach, the small park that's very close to the house, and many nearby restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again.
Close proximity to Downtown Seattle, but in a very quiet and relaxing, waterfront area of West Seattle. Located on a bus line (Seattle metro 37 and short walk to Rapid C line)and 15 minute drive from the West Seattle Water Taxi that can take you right to the downtown waterfront.
