A Treemendous Stay!
What an absolute delight! Jenny and David most accommodating, friendly and humorous. The location is quiet, the cottage superb and the weather forecast stuck to the window each morning was a great help! The Limousin area reminded us of our home county of Derbyshire and the way of life is idyllic. Reminded us of how England used to be and - quite frankly - how it still should be!
Got to go again soon! And no the spelling in the title is not a mistake - its intentional! Jenny and David will explain when you arrive! Please go, you won't be disappointed!
Our aim is create a home from home, in a 'get away from it all' location of rural France and we always try to accommodate any request that our guests ask of us!
Cosy and quaint mid winter stay.
We booked our week long stay at La Petite Chabrenas primarily for house hunting in the area. David and Jenny are great hosts and nothing is too much bother for them. The directions to the gite were comprehensive and easy to read and although we arrived in the dark, in freezing temperatures, we were very grateful to find that the log burner had been lit and was lovely and warm for our arrival. The gite itself is spotlessly clean, and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a stay. We had good internet access, the soft furnishings were comfortable and we got good nights sleep in the bed. As we were out and about most days, we were very grateful for David or Jenny to put our log burner on in the late afternoon, as the outside temperatures rarely got above freezing. The gite is rural, but close enough to shops and amenities. The surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful. There are lots of chateaux to visit nearby, and lovely quaint villages. We visited a local restaurant in Montgibaud for s special meal and this too was lovely. David and Jenny booked it for us, which made things easier! Thankyou for a lovely stay and no doubt we will be returning in the not too distant future.
A real get-away treat
Everything you could possibly wish for in a holiday gite.
David and Jenny were wonderful hosts. The bungalow is well-appointed and organized, and you have everything you need. It is conveniently located near the A20 motorway, so easy to access, but still give you a feeling of remoteness, peace and quiet. Definitely recommended!

Our first visit to France, not our last, this gite is the perfect base, with the perfect hosts, David and Jenny were brilliant, very helpful and knowledgeable, from first booking to arriving,

Lovely old gite in a peaceful setting with many extras and stacks of information in folders provided. Jenny and David are more than helpful. Enjoyed our time there .
