Why Jorge and Angie chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We fell in love with Don Pedro from the first time we set foot there. Being able to build Ibis Landing was a dream come true for us. It is the perfect getaway. Once we cross over from the mainland, all our worries are gone and a sense of peace and relaxation takes over.

What makes this house unique

While at Ibis Landing we enjoy everything from quiet days (no traffic, crowds, etc.) to long walks on the secluded beautiful beach. We have had so many special experiences with our children, watching dolphins jumping out of the water, many different species of native birds, and lots of shell. We have even had the opportunity to see manatees and at another time a sea turtle swim right by us. The natural experiences are limitless!

Guestbook comments from the manager

What a fabulous way to celebrate the New Year! It took us over 5 years to get back here, but it was well worth it. Another week of fishing, swimming, dolphins, and sand castles. We're leaving with a bag of shells and a headfull of memories.

Thank you!

This was our second stay at Ibis Landing and we already have a 3rd one booked for later this year! I think we've found our "happy place." This home is located in the perfect spot and the views and sunsets can't be beat. Ibis Landing is comfy and has everything you need for a beach retreat. It feels like home. We love this special place and will be visiting for years to come!

Wonderful Beach Front Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Exactly what we need to completely and utterly relax! We are very familiar with Palm Island and were well aware of its virtues to help us really decompress. No better place to do that and Ibis Landing was definitely a keen factor in that relaxation! This is a clean, well appointed, well-situated home with a GREAT (great) back screened lanai right on the beach. And, the full expanse sliding doors to the porch are fantastic (given you turn off the AC!). Who needs AC when you have that Gulf breeze, ceiling fans and those doors?! We loved this spot so very much and will rent again. Our return deposit was delayed for over a month, but all was resolved in the end. Thank you Jorge & Angie for use of your lovely home!

An absolutely wonderful beach house

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at many beach houses in North Carolina, and several in Florida and Ibis Landing was the absolute best! First, you walked in the front door, and you could see through to the beautiful screened in porch and the beach beyond.

It was immaculate with a well stocked kitchen that had good appliances. I am one who has washed bedding, dishes, and scrubbed bathrooms before using them in rentals, but none of that was necessary with Ibis Landing. The bedrooms were comfortable and very attractive as was the rest of the house. We truly loved the openness of the house and the beautiful porch that ran the whole length of the back of the house. The porch furniture was really nice with plenty of places for people to sit.

Jorge and Angie, the owners, were very easy to deal with! They were easy to get in touch with and were so accommodating. They left great information on restaurants, and things to do off the island.

This was a new area of Florida for us, so we spent a day at Myakka River State Park . We ate at the Lock and Key one night, Paraiso Mexican Grille and Bar another. We visited Boca Grande one day as well.

It was a very relaxing week A great place to go to truly get away from the crowds and the hectic life so many of us lead. I hope to go back and take friends with us next time!

A Quiet Gem on Florida's Gulf Coast

  • 5 of 5

Although my husband and I have traveled quite a bit and almost always rent homes for our vacations on VRBO, this is the first time I have been inspired to write a review. Ibis Landing was perfect in every way. The location alone is reason to go. This beautiful, island beach is right at your door step. Sleeping and waking to the sound of the ocean was heavenly. And I now know you don't need to travel as far as Hawaii or the Carribean for the most beautiful sunsets ever. The entire trip I felt like we were on a remote, island paradise far far away. And although this was a romantic, quiet trip for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary , we will totally return with our children in 2016! What a wonderful place to be for a family vacation! We stayed in November which may be an even quieter month for the island, but there were quite a few locals enjoying it no doubt for that very reason and it was so nice to see so many familes celebrating Thanks Giving in their paradise. Jorge and Angie own a piece of this magical place and I'm so thankful they shared their home with us. The house itself is perfect. It was totally what I envisioned for a beach home in Florida. We had everything we needed for a week there. The only addition I would suggest is a gas grill. Otherwise they had it ALL. A fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, games, comfortable furniture, DVD's, linens, they even had boogie boards and rafts for the water. This is the first time I can say that we will return for another stay. I can't wait to share this gem on the gulf coast with my kids. An amazing vacation in a beautiful place!
