The Wright Street Square was a beautiful quaint apartment good for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed but since we were so close to so many good restaurants we didn't use it much. The outdoor porch was perfect for having morning coffee or reading. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I think it was smaller than described and there was no sitting room. There was a couch area in the bedroom but not really a place for more than 2 people to sit at a time. Our adult children living in Savannah came over for a drink and it was just too small. The outdoor area was beautiful but we didn't use it - access to it is a bit difficult. The location was excellent everything in the Historic area was within walking distance and Ubers were great for everything else.
The Wright Square Suite is in a great location for walking to all the sites in Savannah (even Mrs. Wilkes, the restaurant, is right next door). But I have to say we were a bit disappointed with the suite. The bathroom is very tiny. There is a small pedestal sink with absolutely no place to put anything. We ended up putting all our toiletries on the fireplace mantle which was annoying. When you sit on the toilet, your knees hit the shower and the shower is also very small. The kitchen, which we never used, is four times the size of the bathroom! We also had no place to put our luggage so we ended up putting our luggage on the kitchen counters. (So I guess the kitchen came in handy after all.) The suite is in one of the beautiful, old homes on Jones Street which is a beautiful street. Also, the very long line to eat at Mrs. Wilkes starts forming around 9 am for their opening at 11 am. You can easily be first in line!
We had a wonderful stay in Savannah in this historic property! The location was superb for exploring the city on foot, close to all of the major landmarks, right next to Mrs. Wilkes. While the suite is fairly small, it had everything we need to enjoy our short stay. The company was also responsive and gracious with all of our requests. We certainly would stay again!
We stayed at the Wright Square Suite at the Jones Street Suites for my wife’s birthday. The location was perfect! We never used the large kitchen (we ate out at fabulous restaurants everyday) but if we had wanted to cook we had everything necessary to do so. It was very clean which is most important. The bed was comfy and had nice linens. The bathroom was small but laid out efficiently. We sat on the porch for coffee and enjoyed the fresh air. We felt it was a great value for the quality of the property and the perfect location. We are planning on coming back in the summer with another couple and will book a 2 bedroom in the Jones Street Suites.
The Wright Square Suite was perfectly sized for two people for a couple nights. Location is very central to town and perfect for walking anywhere in Savannah, Forsyth Park or to the waterfront, and on one of the nicest streets in town. Parking was not difficult the weekend we were there. Quiet at night. Comfy bed. Clean.
This was a very nice apartment that allowed us to have a nice relaxing vacation in Savannah. The location made it possible for us to walk to everything we wanted to see in downtown within 15-20 minutes. The street location was beautiful and the home is one of the big old historic buildings with lovely features. The apartment is kept very clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the bathroom is quite small with little space to lay out my toiletries while getting ready. That was a bit awkward but we made it work and had a lovely week in Savannah. One other downside was the outside noise from early morning trash pickupI would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others.
