WELCOME TO OUR VILLA: Lovely 1218 square foot renovated condo inside the Wild Dunes gates. Vaulted, beamed and planked ceilings, soft lighting, French doors, premium Pergo flooring and updated bathrooms. Fully stocked Kitchen with stone countertops and breakfast bar, stainless appliances, large capacity washer and dryer, solid flatware. Free WiFi. Flat screen TVs in each room. Our split bedroom floor plan is the best design and most spacious of all 2 bedroom villas on the island! (See floor plan photo). We personally manage our villa so if you want the comforts of home, you've found it here. We want you to enjoy it as much as we do.
2 BEDROOMS/2 BATHS: Our spacious and cozy upper level 'treehouse' villa is surrounded by lagoons and ancient Live Oaks and is one of few that offers a Beautyrest KING bed and beautiful walk-in shower in master suite. Two Beautyrest double beds in guest bedroom. Split bedroom design. Each bedroom has a 32' flat screen TV & DVD player, private bathroom, private deck and overlooks our pool and gardens. And unlike lower units, we have a 200sf covered deck which provides sunset views and room for family and friends to gather. (Located away from mosquitoes at the lagoons).
COMFORT: NO VERTICAL BLINDS, BLACK-OUT DRAPERIES. NO GUEST NOISE ABOVE and BEDROOMS ARE NOT ABOVE GARAGES/CARPORTS as are many BEACH FRONT condos at Wild Dunes (no early engines and fumes!). Tub/shower and water closet separated from vanity/lavatory areas in each bathroom. Cotton linens and fluffy white towels provided. Each bedroom has large closets.
CENTRAL LOCATION: Closest condo complex to the beach not on the beach. Walk 500 yards down a quiet lane and boardwalk to our excellent beach or throw in a line from our fishing dock on one of our lagoons. Walk to golf (2 courses), tennis, restaurants, bike shop. Enjoy nature trails and bike paths. Go marsh or ocean kayaking, deep sea fishing or an eco tour from the nearby Isle of Palms Marina. And Historic Charleston is a short drive away.
OVERRATED “SPORTSCARD”: There is a private pool in our complex for the exclusive use of Lagoon Villas. Our guests have access to Wild Dunes golf, tennis, bikes, spa services, children’s activities, evening events at the Pavilion, etc. without the overrated sportscard. You can walk to all these activities. We do not have access to the fitness “room” or the Wild Dunes community pool. Sportscard offers a slight discount for golf and tennis. FREE TENNIS & FITNESS is available at the beautiful Isle of Palms Recreation Center a few blocks outside the gate. A real savings for tennis lovers.
PETS: We welcome your pet children for MONTHLY stays. The Wild Dunes Community Association prohibits pets of guests/renters for stays fewer than 30 days. Pets are allowed inside the gates for 30 day+ stays ONLY, so be aware of 'pet friendly' properties which do not provide this information. You could be fined or worse, turned away at the gates!
WILD DUNES PAVILION: Access is limited in summer season to those renting inside the pavilion area. However, we have enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers there many, many times and often at night, there is music. It’s located about 200 ft. from our beach area.
IN ADDITION: We supply soaps, lotions, coffee filters, hair dryers, games, books, cards and DVDs.

I live in the mountains of WNC but I love the SC coast and especially the Charleston area. While our kids were young, we visited Pawley's Island, Kiawah, Florida resorts and Wild Dunes. As we began to think about owning a second home, we decided on Wild Dunes. Many more advantages for us, our friends & family than at Kiawah. Wonderful restaurants from old fashion seafood houses to very fine dining. Pool, golf, bike rentals, restaurants are just steps from our condo ... the beach is across the street and down a lovely lane. I love Wild Dunes and have updated our home there to insure our comfort and yours. We have had some pretty miserable nights at Wild Dunes in horrible beds and linens that don't fit. We won't do that to you!

We looked at and stayed at several Wild Dunes 2-bedroom condos before we bought. We wanted 'space' and we wanted one floor ... UNUSUAL here! We updated and LOVE IT! It's a great floor plan, has a nice garden/pool view, fully equipped kitchen, 'quality' king sized bed (unusual for condos in our complex)...very livable, attractive and convenient. Golf & bike rentals are just steps from our condo ... the beach is across the street and down a lovely lane.
We were so impressed with the lovely finishes and luxurious touches in this quaint condo. Like a 5-star hotel and a classic B & B combined into one. Marble bathrooms, fluffy white towels, new sinks and faucets, super kitchen...it was great. Wish the weather would have cooperated so we could have used the pool and beach, but that's not the condo's fault!
This was our first visit to Isle of Palms and will not be our last. Easy check-in, clean, and very comfortable. Loved the two bedrooms and bath being on different sides so you had more privacy. While you do have to drive to most Charleston sights it was an easy drive. Ten minute walk to beach and a pool view from the living room. Beautiful spot for a vacation!
So we arrived the morning before Hermine made its way to Charleston! Spent our first night sleeping through a tropical storm on a king size bed that slept better than anything in recent memory - including home!
The space was excellent and easily accommodated two couples with good privacy when needed. The Villa was clean and had lots of sunlight in all the rooms. Opening the windows and doors to the decks in the bedrooms gave us a nice breeze (post Hurricane of course). AC and ceiling fans kept us cool when needed.
Although I'd class the well stocked kitchen as galley style, the island separating the kitchen from the living/dining room gave us plenty of prep space, and eating space for times when we didn't use the dining table.
The villa is located on Isle of Palms, so its bit of drive if you are venturing into Charleston. But the traffic was light on IOP and the major routes into the city were free flowing most days the new made the 20-30 minute trip.
The beach was closer of course and within a short walking distance. It sits near a golf course that made me wish I had brought my clubs. We also ate a great meal at one of the resort restaurants and hug out on the beach near the boardwalk cafe, listening to some pool-side guitar. That part of our stay was very "Margaritaville" and mellow.
Another restaurant the owner recommended on IOP was The Refuge. It turned out to be a great spot - kid friendly, really good food, sane prices.
We had a fun time in Charleston, in large part because we had a great place to 'come home to.' And when we decided to just 'chill-out' in the Villa and not run around, it was quiet, inviting and relaxing. Exactly what we needed.
I'd recommend this to any couples wanting to get away for either a short or long stay. Especially if you love being near the beach or the ocean. We hope to come back to Charleston next year and this will be our spot if its available.
I look forward to going to this wonderful, comfortable condo each year. It is located perfectly and always super clean. I enjoy riding my bike around the island and taking in all of the beautiful nature. The pool is always refreshing as well!
My husband, son (19) daughter (17) and myself all enjoyed this condo so very much!!!! Extremely well stocked!!!! I'd made breakfast sereral mornings before we head out for the day and had all the utensils, pots, pans and dishes you could want. We even found the ice cream scoop for our nights we made ourselves icecream cones. Plenty of bath and hand towels as well as wash clothes. Also loved having the laundry right there!!! We did a load every evening so when I got back home I didn't have bags full of dirty laundry. We were close enough to everywhere. We went to the restaurants and shops in isle of palms also went to charleston and mount pleasant and my daughter and I took a trip to the Tanger Outlet Mall one day!!! Cathy made everything a breeze from reservations, to check in and check out. We saw a gator in the lagoon and some deer right on the grounds too. Beautiful place, well kept, plenty of room and great owner!!! Highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much for offering your beautiful home to us at such an affordable price. I cannot thank you enough for all the comforts of home you offered to us for our stay. Way better then a hotel. I love Homeaway for that!
Loved this place! So comfortable and walking distance to the beach and all the resort amenities. The condo was very nicely furnished and it was so nice to have two master bedroom suites each with their own bathroom and balcony! Great view of the community pool and every little detail was taken care of. The owner Kathy was very accommodating and easy to work with. Would highly recommend this home and would definitely come back!
This was an amazing rental!!!! The condo was so welcoming and was fully equipped, right down to soap for the washing machine and hair dryers in both bathrooms. The owner, Kathy, was very accommodating and so easy to work with. The pool area was a nice bonus and the beach was within walking distance. I felt as though I was in my own home!!!!
