Charming old home with lots of character
Our family of 3 adults and 2 older children loved the space and the bathrooms. Everyone had a room and privacy, which is important to us. It was very quaint and clean. Our only issue was pillows, we are not used to such soft pillows and could have used more. We loved being able to walk everywhere in town and quickly learned to use the train system. We loved the location and would definitely recommend this home to others.
Perfect Vacation Home!
Our family of 6 stayed in this beautiful home for two weeks. Stefanie provided wonderful communication and was very accommodating. Everything we needed was provided in the home. The only thing we would have liked was internet service (which Stefanie said was coming soon).
Directly across the little street in front of our home was the Eck Fritz, a lovely old restaurant that served authentic German dishes. It was literally 8 steps from our front door! In the lovely, quaint village of Braubach there is a bakery that served us well - a two minute walk from the house. A delicious Italian restaurant and gelato parlor were wonderful and so close by. Groceries are close by as well as a gorgeous park along the river with an extensive display of outstanding roses, the like I have never seen!
We traveled around the Rhineland area by car and train and this was the perfect jumping off place. Our family cannot recommend this home enough! We are looking forward to coming again next year - hopefully. You will not be disappointed by the modern conveniences in this lovingly restored 400 year old half timbered home.
We stayed at this home for 5 nights in June and it was wonderful. I would recommend it for sure. The location was perfect as Braubach is a wonderful little town. The home was very clean and very large. We had more than enough room for our group of 4 adults and 4 children.
Very good house located in wonderful small town.
Really good place, well equipped, lot of space in four floors.
Nearest restaurant opposite the house.
I recommend for erveryone.
Toller Ort
Sehr freundliche Vermieter. Tolles Haus mit genügend Platz und alles da was man braucht! Vielen Dank für die tollen Tage!!
Braubach, the City of Wine and Roses is located at the foot of the only undestroyed castle on the Rhine - the Marksburg. Within the narrow streets and ancient corners of the old town, history becomes alive. Well-preserved frame-houses - some from the 16th century - give an unmistakable flair to the historical town center. During a contemplative walk between affectionately renovated frame-house fronts, opulent decorated gables, and well cared for planted courtyards, you will be reminded of former times. Our visitors can admire the medieval architecture found on many buildings and towers inside the city. For more than 700 years Braubach has maintained its town ordinances and privileges and is located directly on the wonderful middle Rhine - a region which is designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castles found in the middle Rhine are genuinely unique and should not be overlooked when planning your holiday.
