The Palais Brambilla is named after our ancestors, who came from the Lombardy to Vienna in Mozart’s times. Johann Alexander von Brambilla was personal surgeon and confident of Emperor Joseph II. and initiator of the Academy of Medicine and Surgery - the Josephinum.
Swimming: The Dianabad is a public indoor pool and spa only a few minutes away on the other side of the little Danube (Donaukanal) With 870 m² of water surface it offers a lot of fun for everyone besides, Wellness , Spa and Wavezone.
During summer the so called 'Badeschiff' (pool-ship) is ankered close by on the little Danube (Donaukanal) and offers a cool sport pool and cool drinks and lounge music from early morning till late in the night. Great for a quick cool down after a long sightseeing day.
Wintertime -Ball season: Also during winter time Vienna has a lot to offer. Not only are all shopping streets illuminated with romantic light fixtures it is also the time for advent and it it's Christmas markets we call Christkindlmarkt . Beside art and craft they offer a lot of culinaric deligths especially mulled wine (Glühwein) and punch (Punsch). After Christmas the Sylvester path enchants the Inner City in Walzer music and champagne. From our house you will have the best view to see the private fireworks, because the Danube channel is the best place to start the rockets.
Until March the Cityhall park and square transform in a romantic ice dream for icescating. The winding pathways are covered in ice and the old trees are illuminated with individual huge lanterns.
With the New Year the official ball season is kicked off with the Emperors Ball and last until the beginning of lent. Daily there is at least one Ball hosted in Vienna if not more. Naturally you can rent gowns and tuxedos in this town.

We stayed at Palais Brambilla in June of 2016 and can honestly say it is a gem of a property. Though it is not air conditioned, the apartment was comfortable as it was on the inside courtyard so the heat during the day did not build. By the evening it was well cooled off and very comfortable. The beds were a little older but were comfortable and the property was very well kept and maintained.
The location of the apartment is very convenient as the U-Bahn station for Scottenring is literally 100 yards away. This gives you access to both the #2 and the #4 lines as well as easy access to the tram system. The efficiency of Vienna's public transport system makes this a really easy access point to everything you will want to see in the City. It also made it very simple to get in and out to the airport. Simply take the direct train or the CAT out of the airport (12 euros) to Wien Mitte Train Station (it is also Landstrasse U-Bahn station) and then jump on the #4 U-Bahn line to Schottenring. 2 or 3 stops and you are literally within a simple walk to the Property. Leaving Vienna was just as straightforward. The location does also give easy access to the Billa grocery store and some nice, traditional Viennese restaurants and cafes.
My dealings with Markus, the Owner, were very clear and he was very helpful with any questions that I had - including some restaurant suggestions that offered traditional foods of Vienna (boiled beef anyone? Delicious!). There was a small issue with the washing machine but that was repaired within a few day once a technician was available. In the interim, Markus offered us the use of a washer in another unit which was appreciated but not necessary.
All in all, it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property to anyone I know.

The property is very nice, clean, comfortable, and cozy in Innere Stadt (1st district).
Number of restaurants close by is infinitive.
There are few grocery stores/bakeries just few blocks away.
Kitchen is fully equipped, however we did not have to use it much for cooking, just to make a cup of tea/coffee or sandwich (groceries are close by).
We were using Hop-On-Hop-Off Vienna SightSeeing (bus stop #11 is 2 minutes away from the apartment).
If we would travel again to Vienna, we would like to rent this property next time.
We were shocked how much people smoke in Vienna (this is not related to property, but city).
Location is great. Center is in walking distance. 30-50 meters from subway and trams, a lot of restaurants in a walking distance, but was not easy to find the good one:), 24 hours store on the gas station - 3 minutes walking was very useful during New Year holidays.
Old, beautiful and antique house. We were with 2 children and we had enough space for everybody. It was appt on the first floor. The apartment is not new, but cozy. Good and comfortable bed, antique furniture. Kitchen was equipped enough and clean. The owner, Markus, helped us in problem situation after departure - thanks to him!
I would recommend this apartment for couple or a family with children.

Location is fabulous. Across the street from subway and streetcar, within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store and shopping. The apartment is furnished very nicely with some antiques, beautiful wood floors and comfortable couches. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. The owner, Markus, was helpful with directions and suggestions for grocery shopping, restaurants and transportation. He also lives in the building so available if needed. I would recommend this apartment for two couples or a family. There is a bathroom with a washer and also a half bath.
Wir waren zu viert (2 kleine Kinder) für eine Woche in Wien und haben uns für das Palais Brambilla entschieden. Über die Lage kann man nicht meckern, sowohl U Bahn als auch Tram sind in unmittelbarer Nähe, Supermarkt und Spielplatz sind ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
Die Wohnung hat eine ausreichende Größe. Allerdings sind die Betten schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und quietschen bei der kleinsten Bewegung sehr laut. Die Bettgestelle im Kinderzimmer sind so hoch, dass mein 3 jähriger Sohn allein nicht hinein klettern konnte. Die Zimmer selbst sind wegen der Innenhof Lage immer relativ dunkel, dafür bekommt man aber von der Straße nichts mit. Die Wohnung ist auch relativ hellhörig, alles was im Treppenhaus oder in der angrenzenden Wohnung passiert hört man deutlich. Aber so ist es eben im Altbau.
Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist passabel (Geschirrspülmaschine, Waschmaschine, TV, DVD Player). Badezimmer und Toilette könnten eine Renovierung vertragen (vor allem der Durchlauferhitzer hat so seine Tücken, die man erst mal durchblicken muss).
Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, allerdings auch eher oberflächlich. Es wurde anscheinend auch nicht geprüft, wie sauber die Vorbewohner Besteck etc hinterlassen haben. Auch Kühlschrank etc hätten eine gründliche Reinigung vertragen können.
Alles in allem hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt, einiges wäre an der Unterkunft aber auch noch zu verbessern bzw zu erneuern.

Our four City Apartments are considered for two to four people and measure 38 to 60 m² (450 sf to 700 sf). Each apartment is unique and has exclusive furniture, ceiling heights up to 12 feet, either extremely quiet and to one of the most beautiful court yards of Vienna orientated or offer great panorama views.
You will find a chic restaurant in the house, which serves delicious coffee, favoured lunch menues and specials. There is also a hair dresser and a beauty parlor. Lots of sights, boutiques and restaurants are within walking distance. During wintertime you will want to visit the Advent markets (Christkindlmarkt) close by, or the Sylvesterpath and Vienna Icedream. You will find the nearest internet café within two minutes walking distance. W-LAN (Wi-Fi) Internet complimentary. Families travelling with small children have a playground in the park behind our house. Pets welcome. A fenced in dog park is infront of our house for your dogs convinience.

Golf: The exclusive Golfclub Vienna-Freudenau is close to the Inner City in the Prater next to the oldest race track on the European continent. But beside this Vienna offers more for a Golfer. There are two flat 18 holes courses (Golfclub Wien-Freudenau und Wien-Süßenbrunn) and two 9 holes courses - one hilly at Golfclub am Wienerberg and one flat at Golfclub Marco-Polo. Ski: Only 35 minutes by car from our appartment you can ski down the Hohewand -Wiese in Mauerbach until late in the night ( 9pm) You can travel to this ski slope also by public transport and you can rent skis etc there. For real ski experience you have to travel a bit further to the mountains close to Vienna. (Many of them have great public transport connection by railway and bus) Semmering, Annaberg, Gemeindealpe, Bürgeralpe, Ötscher, Hochkar,....

Im Falle einer Stornierung Ihrer Buchung bis 21 Tage vor dem vereinbarten Ankunftstermin wandeln wir die geleistete Anzahlung in ein Guthaben um. Sie können dieses Guthaben innerhalb eines Jahres für eine Buchung unseres City Appartements verwenden. Stornieren Sie innerhalb der letzten drei Wochen vor dem vereinbarten Ankunftstermin oder ist die Jahresfrist abgelaufen, verfällt die Summe.
