Embedded in an attractive cultural landscape the capital of Brandenburg has much to offer appealing to many different interests and expectations. Its most famous landmark is Castle Sanssouci. But the former summer residence of Friedrich the Great and its park with many additional sights is not the only thing that makes it worthwhile to visit Potsdam. The historical quarters of the city like the Russian colony Alexandrowka, the Dutch quarter, and the former Bohemian weaver quarter give Potsdam typical European city feel. Other things Potsdam has to offer are the film park, a nature adventure world 'biosphere', the Volkspark on the former German Federal Garden Show compound, recreational navy, royal property Bornstedt as well as a manifold cultural spectrum in the Schiffbaugasse in the historical center of Potsdam.

The apartment was just as pleasant as it was advertised. It is very well maintained, cozy, comfortable, well ventilated. We truly felt at home after a few days and were reluctant to leave. Our hosts were wonderful. They provided excellent customer service, were warm, welcoming, and friendly. The yard is nice and large, with many play things for the children. We enjoyed using it every day, many times with our hosts children, who were sweet and friendly.
The town is a decent size and the people are friendly. There are many nice nature walks near the house along with grocery stores within a few minutes walking distance (Aldi and Rewe). There are also Netto and Lidl and Penny a little farther out.
I have already told several friends about this wonderful place and would love to come stay again.
My family enjoyed our time and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. It included wifi and a full kitchen; their were two grocery stores within walking distance. A bowling center is nearby in case someone is sick and the rest of the family wants to stay nearby. The yard provided a great place for the kids to play. The location provided an easy jump off point to take the bus and train into Berlin. Easy transportation for big city exploration.
Although you're not in the heart of Berlin, this apartment is a treasure. I defy anyone to find a cleaner and better stocked apartment. The owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. You're living above the owner's residence, but it is very quiet and have plenty of space to yourself. There are fresh bread rolls waiting outside your door every morning. The apartment is well stocked with cooking aparatus, plus condiments. The place is spotless. Public transport has you in he hustle and bustle of Berlin within an hour. The transport system is German precision at its best. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants close by. This apartment I highly recommend and it is made all the better by the fantastic owners.
Our family loved staying here! The Seidlers were friendly and very helpful and provided a wealth of information about Berlin!I love how the apartment is decorated and there is plenty of room for six or more. We plan on returning and hopefully staying with the Seidlers. Thank you, Martin, for being so welcoming and we look forward to another stay there.
Come and spend your vacation in the country side near the cultural metropolitan areas of Potsdam and Berlin. Enjoy the city life of the German Capital or visit the amazing gardens of Sanssouci Castle. Blend in with the locals at the farmers market of Oberhavel or be enchanted by crystal clear Lake Stechlin, just as poet Fontane was back then. Marwitz borders the protected landscape 'Kraemer Forst' - a forest stretching over 4000 hectares with some of the most beautiful hiking trails and bike paths. If you want to visit Berlin without the hassle of finding parking leave your car here and take train line S25 for quick access to the city. There are also nice restaurants and stores right here in our village that are only a 2-3 minute walk away. We are located near airports, train stations and right by a bus line but if necessary we will also happily come and pick you up from where you are. From hiking, swimming, horse back riding, wind surfing, dancing, shopping - this area has it all.
