~~ Parking in the North End of Boston ~~
1. The best place to park without paying is in a visitors’ lot on Hanover Street. Pay attention to the signs because some are from 8am-6pm and some are 12pm –6pm. Free parking is limited usually to two hours and is often enforced.
2. Metered parking is usually available all along Commercial Street, which runs perpendicular to Hanover Street. Bring plenty of quarters.
3. For overnight parking, I recommend parking in the Sargent’s Wharf on Commercial Street, right next to Starbucks. The cost for overnight parking runs between $9 and $14, but be sure to check the rate schedule, because the rate may change for the daytime. For overnight parking on the street, most parking spaces are reserved for residents or valet parking zones.
4. There is also an indoor garage near the Fleet center called the North End Garage.
5. Meter maids are notorious in the North End. They love it because the neighborhood resembles the mess in Naples and Sicily in that there are lots of opportunities to give tickets. Most tickets run around $25, but they can only give them out once a day. So, if you receive a ticket, chances are that you can still park there for a while.
This is all I know about parking in the North End. Good luck.

The North End feels like home from the moment you set foot on Hanover street with its bustling restaurants; such as Mikes Pastry, the line in front of Giacomo's restaurant. You cannot help but fall in love with this warm and friendly Italian neighborhood where everyone gives you suggestions of where to go and dine before you even asked. Everyone falls in love with this safe and charming neighberhood
Wonderful vibrant and uniquely joyful neighborhood centrally located accessible to many historical sights such as Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall. An experience that should not be missed.
Thank you so much for the great accommodations - my daughter and I felt so at home in Ansel's Apartment! I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know how impressed we were with Gail. She arranged for us to be able to check in early, and called a couple of times to see how things were.
Although our trip was a bit of a whirlwind, it was nice to have a cozy, warm "home" to return to each evening.
Again, many thanks to you and your staff. We have already recommended you to several people, and we will undoubtedly stay with you again!
Perfect spot to stay. Walking distance to everything. Comfy place too. Would def stay here again
The location was great, as we expected, having stayed in Salem Street in 2015. 2 weeks before we were due to arrive we were told of building works across the street which may affect our stay. In fact, it turned out to be right next door. There was no mention of this when we booked back in March. Next door was an empty space with a JCB on it. This started up at just gone 8am! Noisy to say the least. I contacted Zoe to complain that we should have been advised of this previously as such large building works should have been arranged long before the 2 week notice and we could have arranged alternative accommodation, but, obviously, by then it was too late. Zoe said they would arrange a refund as we'd agreed, which was news to me as we hadn't agreed anything. When I queried this they said they would pass this on to the owner. To date I haven't had any replies.
As regards the apartment, it is in a good location and is sufficient for 3, 2 adults and a child or 2 small children. The air con is good but there are steep steps up to the apartment on the 3rd floor. There was a Fishermans Feast going on all the time we were there from 17 to 21 August and there were foods and entertainment on offer, so this is a good time to visit. If you get time and have seen all the sights, go down to the Mirabella outdoor swimming pool next to the Coastguard Station and overlooking the Charles river for a nice refreshing dip.
Really a nice apartment to stay and one of the most beautifull part of Boston to visit. A bit vertical the stair for reach the second floor but the apartment was clean and there was everything we need.
A shame for the noise of the neighbors downstairs who partied most nights and left garbage on the landing for two days.
Proper owner if not for failing to inform in advance the start of the renovation work on the floor below us which led to over wings jackhammer seven thirty in the morning, also a quantity of dust in our apartment that knowing this, maybe we would had change our mind on staying there.
Great location. Very comfortable and clean. Perfect walking distance to all the sites and shopping. Restaurants and bars everywhere. Very easy check-in and out. We had no problems. It was a small challenge getting our luggage up to the second floor, but we managed to make it fun. Would definitely recommend Zoe Rentals to anyone coming to Boston. Thank you for the great accommodations.
All my short term apartments are located close to the Freedom Trail, a few minutes walk to the famous Fanuil Hall and Quincy Market as well the Aquarium and many historical sites. I have 9 short term furnished apartments within a two block radius in the heart of little Italy and the price listed is the base price.
