Mountain & City Views from Southwestern Style Condo - Santa Fe

Space 9,687 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

A beautifully decorated condo, set high on a rise with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and city from the living room, dining area, and covered balcony. Walk just a Block to shops, restaurants, and cinema. A bit over a mile to the Plaza (can walk but we prefer Uber in high season or otherwise driving our car since parking is ample at the condo (and we're tired after a long day tredging around the city). Free High Speed, Wireless Internet.

Southwestern Decor: Kiva Fireplace, Ceramic Tile Floors and counter tops, Wood Beams on ceiling, Mexican Talavera Tile Sinks in bathrooms, very Comfortable Leather Furniture; ceramics and art; personalized touches throughout. Refurbished and refurnished: repainted, ceramic tiled, and all new furniture and appliances.

Our top floor (3rd floor) condo is airy and light with all the modern necessities, such as central air conditioning. We bought this condos as our second home for its convenient location (and view): quickly accessible to downtown, on the same road as the world famous Outdoor Opera, but set three floors above the summer congestion. A quarter mile to Guadalupe Street and you're in the downtown area--quick access from there to the plaza. Again, we recommend Uber or driving yourself as there is so much more to do and see that is outside the central plaza area. The ample parking at the condo makes the entire area of Northern California easy to access and easy to return home to put your feet up.

About Mary Jane Cope

Why Mary Jane Cope chose Santa Fe

We love the southwest, Santa Fe in particular. There is as much to do here as you would get in any major city, and all within 15 easy minutes. Outside of Santa Fe, the drives are gorgeous and there a so many things to see, we have a huge stack of brochures for your perusal in the condo.

What makes this condo unique

Perfect weather nearly all the time, but if not--we have central AC and heating, and the sun is almost always up to greet you.

Guestbook comments from the manager

"Thank you very much for the use of your condo. It is very nicely decorated. We will definitely recommend it to others."

The Flavor of Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

This pretty topfloor 2-bedroom condo has a Sangre de Cristo mountain and city view from the covered balcony, facing North. The interior Southwest decor features an iconic and dramatic Santa Fe fireplace. Kitchen layout is convenient and complete with all appliances, utensils, cookware and dishes. Both beds are very comfortable; it turned out that we didn't need the living-room couch as a sofa-bed.

The parking lot was spacious, the shopping center just across the highway supplied all our needs, and the downtown city center is nearby.

Owner's Response: And wood is supplied for the ample Kiva fireplace during winter months, when the views of the white capped mountains and pueblo style buildings is a unique sight in all the country.

Fantastic place in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo for a week, and loved it. We were very impressed at how well stocked it was with a lot of things many VRBO places lack: pans that were clean and not wrecked by burning, a full complement of kitchen tools, decent kitchen knives, even a coffee grinder. Nice dishes (not a motley collexpction of Corelle), and attractive leather furniture that was comfortable. The place is quite convenient to the Plaza and Canyon Rd gallery and museum area. 3rd floor, but there is a convenient elevator when you don't want exercise by climbing the stairs (we climbed except for moving luggage). A minor problem (fire alarm needed new battery) was fixed within a few hours of our request. I'd say the only slight negative is that the nice balcony does get a bit of highway noise from nearby Hwy 285, but on the other hand, it also has a very nice view of the Sangre de Cristo mointains and downtown Santa Fe. It's close to shopping (DeVargas Center, La Montanita Food Coop (good organic food) etc. and it is easy to get to other parts of Santa Fe. The smaller BR could use a small dresser or set of drawers. But overall, this place is great. I'm stingy with stars, but for the reasonable price, this place definitely rates 5 stars.

We are family

  • 4 of 5

We used the unit mainly to travel from. Perfect for that. But the unit it self was delightful. We enjoyed meeting my brother from Denver and had plenty of room. Would recommend and stay again if we travel this way again.
