Santa Fe Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

A beautifully decorated condo, set high on a rise with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and city from the living room, dining area, and covered balcony. Walk just a Block to shops, restaurants, and cinema. A mile to the Plaza. Free High Speed, Wireless Internet.

Southwestern Decor: Kiva Fireplace, Ceramic Tile Floors and counter tops, Wood Beams on ceiling, Mexican Talavera Tile Sinks in bathrooms, very Comfortable Leather Furniture; ceramics and art; personalized touches throughout. Refurbished and refurnished: repainted, ceramic tiled, and all new furniture and appliances.

Our top floor (3rd floor) condo is airy and light with all the modern necessities, such as central air conditioning. We bought our second home for its convenient location (and view): quickly accessible to downtown, on the same road as the world famous Outdoor Opera, but set three floors above the summer congestion. Walk a quarter mile to Guadalupe Street and you're in the downtown area--quick access from there to the plaza--about 4 blocks.

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

It was convenient to the plaza and was a perfect fit for what we needed. Beds were comfortable; We didn't cook much but kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies as well as condiments. It was well-maintained. Communication with the owners was pleasant and timely. We ran into the managers and they were very helpful as well. There is also an elevator. Yay! Balcony had a nice view but traffic was noisy. However, there is a large patio area on the grounds where people can congregate as well and enjoy the NM sunshine!

Absolutely beautiful and roomy condo. Loved the location and the view. Close to everything. Quiet complex. We loved watching the prairie dogs play in the land by our building. Everything you need and space to spread out♥️.

Comfortable stay in a new city

  • 3 of 5

Our apartment was on the third floor of what was once probably a modern and well maintained apartment building, The well functioning elevator, which could use some cleaning but was a godsend and the parking facility accessible and convenient. It would have been hard to find without the aid of a GPS as is the case for most Santa Fe destinations. The apartment itself was spacious with comfortable beds and an adequate, if less than up-to-date bathroom needing repair of the tub. The living/dining room furniture, though sparse, was mostly comfortable but, truth-be-told, was a bit too low slung for mature people. Our two flat screen TV's with full cable worked flawlessly as did the WIFI.

Our kitchen, though small, was well appointed and when we decided to cook- in we found all the needed equipment in good condition, including a great toaster and a slow cooker for the next morning's oatmeal. The 4 burner glass top cooking surface worked perfectly. The counter set up as a divider from the living/dining room which was equipped with comfortable stools, turned out to be our dining headquarters while the spacious dining table served as an office and catch-all.

All these nice things being said I must comment about the facility as a whole. The building and the environs need some serious work. The asphalt parking area is beyond repair and needs replacing. The gravel/flagstone pathways around the building are ugly and possibly dangerous, though there are longer concrete alternatives. The finish of the building is worn, stained and peeling in places. Any significant landscaping around the building is long dead. Overall, the facility, though well placed and comfortable, seems to scream "neglect". For these reasons I gave only 3 stars to an experience that could have rated more.

As to customer service: I made a really dumb mistake and, as we were leaving, accidentally dropped a full bag of laundry into the dumpster with the trash. There were some valuable items there. When I got home I called the property manager who managed to retrieve it and ship the bag back to me overnight. Caring for clients doesn't get any better than that.

Owner's Response: This review is mainly very positive about those things that directly affect a guest's stay. And as they mentioned in the last few lines, we as managers and the condo owners go out of our way to make things right, including responding to a late and urgent 'call for help' asking us to retrieve a bag of clothes they had inadvertently thrown into the dumpster on their way out of town. We retrieved the bag late that night and arranged to have it shipped to the guest. This kind of attention and care for guests is personal, not just good business, and we extend that care to the interiors of the condos we manage and to communicating with the HOA when something is not safe or attractive about the exterior. The exterior of the complex is in very good condition and is maintained constantly; currently an arborist is working on all of the old beautiful trees, a treasure in the the desert. The condo's walkways are typical Santa Fe: but in this complex there are also concrete walks for special needs and luggage (not always available in the oldest parts of the city), and there also flagstone and gravel paths in keeping with the historic 400-year-old Santa Fe aesthetic. Last week another guest praised Cielo Grande, telling us that they had been visiting Santa Fe for years and had watched how this complex had undergone major upgrades in functionality and appearance, and they loved the landscaping and the convenience of the location. I know that some guests are used to and prefer newer, (some might say slicker) cities, such as Scottsdale. Santa Fe is beloved by its residents who work hard to maintain its original character overall and not just in an "old town." It's unique character, with all its "imperfections," draws thousands of visitors who return every year to the City Different, with its cobble streets, gravel & dirt roads & pathways; its lack of high rises and big city traffic; its clean air; friendly populace; its diversity; its arts and pueblo and Santa Fe Style architecture; its hundreds of fine restaurants, opera, music, and incredible festivals. I'm sure I've overstated the case, but I love it here, warts and all.

Well equipped kitchen and nicely furnished condo. Location is very convenient to museums and attractions. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the manager and owner were accessible for any questions or need for contact. I would recommend this unit to other travelers.

Perfect in every way

This condo had ample room for our family of 5. The location and the view cannot be beat. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is decorated very well and access to the condo is easy. The sofa is REALLY comfortable. We fell in love with Santa Fe! Great time and a great place to stay!
