Our spacious town house is the largest of only six houses in a small development in a quiet residential area. It is about 15 to 20 minutes level walk to the harbour and beaches in one direction and the main town in the other direction. The house has AIR CONDITIONING THROUGHOUT. Also CEILING FANS THROUGHOUT and all windows are fitted with FLYSCREENS. The kitchen is fully equipped . The lounge has broadband internet and internet TV, DVD and mini hi-fi.There is a downstairs WC with sink. Upstairs are two LARGE bedrooms, one with a 5' double bed, one with twin 3' beds. Each bedroom has a private balcony with table and chairs and fitted wardrobes, blinds and curtains. There is a roomy bathroom with bath, shower, basin, heated handrail (if required) and WC. There are large, private patio areas at the front and rear of the house and a private garden at the side and rear. This is planted with Mediterranean climbers and a palm tree. The (shared) swimming pool is immediately to the front of the house.

Fly Screens: The house now has fly screens fitted to all windows and patio doors for your extra comfort.

Bicycles: We have two mountain bikes that can be provided if requested - deposit required.

  • The SPACIOUS upstairs deluxe bathroom has a bath with a shower, a sink with large marble surround with cupboards under, a toilet and a heated towel rail (when required!). There is an outside shower by the pool. The separate downstairs WC has a sink and toilet, close to the front door (very convenient!). There are also separate shower and changing facilities, and toilets, downstairs by the side of the pool if required. The property has 4 sunbeds which can be used on the patios or taken out to the pool. There are lightweight as they are aluminium framed.

  • The very spacious double bedroom has large double bed, twin built in wardrobes(lots of hangers!), two bedside cabinets with table lamps, vanity unit with stool, chair and plenty of room for cases. The room has two small windows looking over the side (green) area and a large patio door leading to the balcony which looks over the pool at the front. The balcony has a table with two chairs.The twin bedroom has two single beds with a bedside cabinet and table lamp. It has a large built in wardrobe ,with storage cupboard and built in vanity unit. The room has a large window looking over the rear and a glass door leading to the PRIVATE rear balcony with table and two chairs. ALL windows and doors have blackout blinds and curtains with tiebacks. All are fitted with new FLYSCREENS. BOTH bedrooms have air conditioning/heating units. BOTH bedrooms have ceiling fans. Radiators etc, are provided during the few cooler months. Hairdryers are supplied. There is plenty of extra,clean bedlinen provided

The accommodation is extremely comfortable and very well equipped, in fact the house was our own holiday home solely for two years before we decided to rent it, firstly to family and friends, then later to members of the general public via the Holiday Rentals' site. Consequently it has has been very well looked after and really is a 'home from home'. It can serve as a romantic place to stay for couples, or as a family type holiday, either way it is extremely comfortable (although we may be slightly biased!). Also now that Easijet are flying to Paphos, with the inevitable cheaper flights,we believe that it is a reasonably economical holiday with lots to do if you are a little more adventurous!

Ideal Base

We had a thoroughly enjoyable break based in this very well maintained townhouse in Pafos. It's location could not have been better, only a short walk into the tourist centre around the old harbour but far enough away to avoid all the noise that comes with it. The area is residential and very quiet.

The house is well furnished and comfortable and somewhere to look forward to returning to after a day exploring the island. Roland and Anne are charming hosts who provide all the help and support needed without being over the top. Being picked up from the airport and taken to the house was a wonderfully unexpected gesture and very much appreciated - even more so as our flight was five hours late! We will return!

Owner's Response: What a charming couple! We are so glad they enjoyed staying in our well maintained and comfortable townhouse. We always ensure that everything is just right for our visitors, the house and surrounding patios, front and back, are thoroughly cleaned and everything in good working order when they arrive (we will pick them up from the airport or meet them at the house if they have a hire car). We are always on hand if they need help and will quickly respond to any concerns they may have regarding their stay, or recommendations to restaurants, places of interest, etc. as we are only a short distance away,...Our visitors can contact us at any time and we will come and visit to make sure all is okay, but at the same time do not want to be intrusive ... Some people just want to chill and want peace and quiet, and our house is ideally situated in a friendly cul de sac, well away from the main tourist areas, but at the same time within a short walking distance to a supermarket and local tavernas , local beach and harbour, shops and a Mall. This house was our holiday home before we moved here so is of a high standard, and very well equipped, which people seem to appreciate, based on our wonderful reviews,. Thanks again to this lovely couple for going to the trouble of showing other people their appreciation of our townhouse.

Not at all what we expected

It was as if we weren't expected. There wasn't anyone at the house. When Ann & Roland did arrive, the TV remote didn't work. Nothing seemed to have been checked. When they left and we started to look around we found spiders everywhere and cobwebs hanging from the furniture, lights etc. The store cupboard hadn't been sorted out. It was full of open packets, solid coffee, half used jars, out of date spices etc. The next morning in daylight we saw that the 2 rugs were dirty, there were crumbs under the sofa cushions. The cooker hadn't been cleaned, nor had the tiles, extractor, etc. We had to hunt out the hoover, buried under lilos and footballs. It was so clogged that the bag had burst and the pipe and brush were full of dirt. We should have left and found somewhere else. Instead we asked for another hoover, some more towels and pillowcases. At first Ann said all we needed to do was change the bag. This just after arriving for a month's stay. When they brought another hoover they were very defensive, saying they had never had a complaint before. Even after seeing the state of the hoover they didn't apologise. Ann did offer to get their cleaner to come and clean. What was the point when she obviously hadn't been cleaning for months. I also showed her a pile of sugar under the microwave and she just said she wouldn't expect their cleaner to move a microwave. It was also covered in grease. Ann didn't seem to know what bedding etc was available. I had to hunt for bedding & towels and found spiders & their eggs in them. Nobody had cleaned behind the toilets and the tiles were all dirty. Everywhere was covered in dust and when I cleaned the twin bedded room not only did I find dust, hair etc but used cotton buds as well. We had mould in both bedrooms and the bathroom and this got worse during the time we were there. We had little hot water when we first arrived, this was sorted eventually. Our friend went down with a chesty cold and they had black bits continually falling off of the ceiling fan, getting into their beds and on their feet. I wasn't able to clean the fans as we didn't have a ladder. I had to ask for rugs for the spare bedroom. Ann was aware that whilst I had cleaned a lot of the apartment there were many areas that needed a thorough clean, so we were horrified to find that they had let the apartment to someone to come in straight after we left. I did ask for a rebate of one weeks rental but didn't get a reply.

Outstanding value and comfort

The house itself and Anne's kindness exceeded expectations. Anne met us from the plane and showed real concern that we had an enjoyable time in Paphos. She clearly aims to provide her guests with an outstanding holiday home.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped - from nut crackers and two forms of coffee-making facilities to all the pans, cutlery and glassware anyone could ask for. I particularly appreciated the condiments etc. and the drinking water tap which produced Yorkshire-quality water. The rest of the house is equally well thought out - the beds and linen very comfortable, heaters (we visited in November) in all rooms, British TV, patios and balconies everywhere. The swimming pool is literally on the doorstep. I stayed with my adult daughter but the house would be perfect for a family as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out.

The house is in a peaceful suburb between the harbour and Old Paphos, both easily reached on foot in 15 - 20 minutes. There is a taxi office just round the corner and a supermarket five minutes away selling an incredible selection of fruit and veg. We couldn't have wished for a better location.

We couldn't have wished for better holiday accommodation. Thanks so much for your generosity, Anne and Roland.

A comfortable and well equipped house in a quiet location.

The house had all we needed for a comfortable stay and is in a quiet residential location within easy walking distance of the old town and the harbour. Unfortunately, although the weather was great, it wasn't warm enough to use the sparklingly clean pool as it wasn't in full sunshine (a bonus on hot summer days though!). Anne and Roland were extremely helpful and friendly hosts.

Home from home in the sun

Had a great time ! House is equipped with everything you need . Great neighbors ; great local feline friends .

We had fun in the pool (bought a giant doughnut); that we fought over. Our stay was very comfortable - much better than a hotel - and we were the only ones using the pool ! Really liked Namaste - Indian street food restaurant - best food whilst we were there !

Relaxing break

Had a great time in Cyprus.

The owners were very helpful and gave us contact details should we require anything. They also arranged an airport taxi pick up.

The property location was excellent it was very peaceful but then only about 10 minutes’ walk to some excellent restaurant’s and another 5 minutes to the harbour so there is definitely no requirement to hire a car.

Our house is well situated between beach/harbour and town (15 mins walk either way). An excellent local FRESH FRUITMARKET and SUPERMARKET is only 5 mins walk away. Water Park, Go-karting, horse-riding 5 mins' drive away, as well as ten-pin bowling (two local alleys). Also green bowls is available locally. Nearest taverna 5 mins walk away. Huge range of restaurants between 10/15 mins walk away with excellent local tavernas as well as international cuisine (recommendations in our welcome pack, also maps and directions). Coral Bay is 15/20 mins drive away. Wonderful archaeological sites with beautiful mosaics at the local harbour. Many other historical attractions nearby, including fascinating 'Tomb of the Kings' archaeological site, very pretty in Spring with many attractive wild flowers. Boat trips can be arranged at the harbour to visit pretty bays, including the beautiful 'Blue Lagoon', whose waters remain warm into October and beyond.

Other Activities: Water park, go karts, quad biking

Ski: It is possible to ski in Cyprus in Winter, in the Troodos Mountains. They are just over an hour's drive away from Paphos. Something you may not have known about. Ask us for more details if you are interested.
