About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Relax on the deck and listen to the Snake River running by as you enjoy the mountain scenery, soak in the hot tub after skiing one of five nearby ski areas (Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin), Copper Mountain, and Vail), or simply read a book by the fire while snow settles on the mountains outside. Winter or summer, this is a great place to spend a vacation!

Our cozy 1000 square foot luxury townhome is set among the trees, giving it a secluded feeling. Still, the Keystone gondola is less than a mile away; only a couple of minutes on the free shuttle.

This professionally decorated, ground level townhome has a well-stocked kitchen. The Master bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen, and there is a double sofabed in the living room. With a beautiful home and all the activities to enjoy, this is a place where you can have a memorable vacation!

About Laura

Laura and Chris live in the foothills west of Golden, Colorado near Denver. Laura moved to Colorado from Wisconsin in 1982 and Chris moved here from Southern California in 1994. We met on a Lake Powell houseboat trip in 1998 and were married on St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) in 2000. We love Colorado with its beautiful scenery, and outdoor and cultural activities. We have season tickets to a local theatre company. Laura's passion is volleyball and Chris enjoys skiing and golf. We love to travel and have recently been to Panama and Mexico, but our travel highlight was our three-month trip to New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji in 2004.

Laura purchased this townhome in 2009

Why Laura chose Summit County Colorado

We love the Trapper's Crossing location. Close enough to Keystone's River Run village, but in a more secluded, forested location. We enjoy the quiet, peaceful ambiance and the fact that we can hear the Snake River from the deck. We chose the single story layout specifically for its ease of access. We chose Keystone because it is close to so many ski areas and has great summer activities and events.

Guestbook comments from the owner

(Amy) I really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, good knife set and cutting board. Great view and that pull-out couch bed was a great night sleep.

(Luke) Good place. Even better with a chef! (See above) Bruises will follow...

Warm Cabin Feel

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five adults enjoyed our time at Trapper's Crossing. Unit 8768 is outfitted well for cooking and for five adults to comfortably sit in the living area. The dining table is great for game playing with everyone able to to interact in the open kitchen, living, and dining areas. The sleep sofa was adequate and comfy for a couple of nights for two adults to share. It is a full-sized bed equivalent with no coils or springs. : ) The free Keystone shuttle was reliable both during normal operational hours and with the on-call option. We also made use of a free local bus from River Run to the grocery store in Dillon. The unit owner even leaves her discount card so that guests have the benefit of the cheaper prices. There are generous closets in the bedrooms. The two bathrooms are quite large, and with a hair dryer, body gel, shampoo and conditioner provided you don't have to hassle with packing those items. The internal front entry is a bit tight, but all of our gear fit in the ski locker/closet right outside the front door. There is a nice deck and grill which we also utilized. One of us had a car parked right outside of the unit which was convenient, but opted for shuttles. The unit has lots of windows and unobstructed views into the woods from the main living areas. Trapper's is especially nice for travelers who prefer to connect with nature, and who then have the option of hopping on the shuttle to be in the thick of other activities. The unit is very clean and everything has its place which makes for keeping it organized. The owner is very responsive and leaves detailed instructions for anything that one might question -- how to set up the the sofa bed or work the electronics, access to Wi-fi, etc.). Appreciative for a very clean, comfy, cozy condo that was our family's home-base. The 15+ inches of powder that fell was awesome too.

Property is very clean, cozy, and stocked. Location is great, close to river run.

Our experience was outstanding. We thought we had booked a nice place, but it exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. It's more roomy than it looks along with great beds, bedding, kitchen/appliances, bedding, etc. This is the best way to go, rather than booking through keystone resort. You know exactly what your getting and the owner takes care of this property. Highly recommend! It's beautiful, comfortable, clean, stocked, great location, what else could you ask for!

Beautifully maintained condo in idyllic wilderness setting

  • 5 of 5

We were quite surprised to see the property in such impeccable condition- it was so lovely. The owner Laura was actually there cleaning herself before we arrived. Not only is the condo immaculate, the setting was just idyllic with a creek out back. This was our first visit to Keystone and will come back again and again - you really feel like you're a part of nature in this gem of a place. We loved the quiet location and found it a perfect spot for visiting all the nearby towns. Laura was absolutely wonderful to work with. The fully stocked kitchen was a plus. It's been two days and we miss it already.

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We do not like crowds and go to Keystone to "get away from in all" and Trappers Crossing it perfect for that. At the same time, it is a surprisingly short walk to the middle of River Run with its shops and restaurants. While walking in the area we saw a moose, a red fox and our friends even spotted a black bear. The townhouse is very nice with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds (two of our pet peeves). The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. In other words, not a single complaint, will definitely be going back.

A clean, comfortable retreat with all the comforts of home. From the beautiful furniture to the fully and I do mean fully stocked kitchen this condo leaves you wanting for nothing. I love to cook, an obsession of mine more accurately and nothing is harder for me than to go without a kitchen. This condo had everything, herbs, spices, utensils, pots and pans, even mixing bowls, an ice cream scoop and a dishwasher. It was so easy to have a large crowd with two bathrooms, two bedrooms and an incredibly comfortable pull out sofa, this space can meet all of your needs. The deck was an extra bonus, a quiet space with a grill and plenty of seating just in case you weren't ready to curl up for the night. Laura is an amazing host and this space is a reflection of that, do yourself a favor an book this space for your next adventure.
