Villa La Alberca is a two bedroom Spanish bungalow with a rooftop solarium sleeping up to four people. The main bedroom has a double bed, and the second bedroom has twin beds. Cots and infants beds can be provided on request. A fully fitted kitchen provides an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. The bathroom has a bath and shower facilities, whilst the roof terrace allows sunbathing and views to the sea and over the mountains. There is a television in the lounge and there is an attractive free communal pool with kiddies section.

It is located 40 minutes from Alicante airport, with easy access to the motorway (A7), and is 10 km inland in a backdrop of rural beauty, including the Leon Dormido Mountain, one of the most beautiful natural features in the Valencian region. It is a short drive to sandy beaches of Benidorm, and Albir and Calpe, to three top golf courses, and within easy access to two theme parks Terra Mitica and Terra Natura.

Lovely property in a good location

This property is ideal if you want to explore the northern Costa Blance.

The house itself is well equipped and was really clean. The washing machine means that you can pack light and there was enough space for us to move abound without tripping over each other.

You share the use of the pool but during our stay we only shared it a handful of times. We were usually on our own there.

The location is really great. About 90 seconds away there is a lovely Spanish bar which overlooks a children's playground....perfect for enjoying an evening drink whilst our daughter played with the local children. There is also an outdoor exercise area and a new supermarket about to open. However, because the house is around the corner the will be no noise impact.

We hired a car, which I would say is a must, and the house owner, Steve, was able to put us in touch with a local hire car firm that offered very reasonable rates.

From here, you can easily drive to Altea, Calpe, Benidorm, Guadelest and many other places, so it is perfect base to explore from.

The owner was really helpful as were his agents who picked us up and returned us to Alicante airport.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to families and couples.

Little Gem of a Place

we have just returned after spending near 3 weeks here, it is equipped for 6 people. It was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed including brand new iron and ironing board. There is a table and 4 chairs for use on the outside patio, great for cool evenings. There are loungers and parasol on the sun roof terrace, which has amazing views.

The pool just at the back is fantastic we had sole use of it for the majority of the time with only the odd resident using for a swim at tea time. The children loved it they were able to play all day until late evening on their inflatables.

Across the road there is a lovely Spanish owned bar, open from early morning until the last people leave at night.

They do food which was delicious, we tried every Tapas dish and still cannot decide on what one was best.

There are games and things for children including a pool table and in the grounds a park with swings and climbing frames that kept the children entertained.

Just 5 minutes walk away is another bar English owned (Pauls) which is another great little place for a stroll and a drink.

Both bars sell fresh bread/baguettes everyday and Paul sells home made cakes (delicious).

You do not need a car to stay at this place unless you have mobility restrictions as there is a bus stop which is a 20 minute walk to get to.

We used Taxis to and from Benidorm which cost 15 Euro each way and the same cost to Altea but everywhere else La Nucia/Polop/Alfaz Del Pi all from 5 to 8 Euro each way.

All in all this is a little Gem of a place I would recommend to anybody with or without children.

Very quiet relaxing place and the locals are very very friendly.

excellent nearly a perfect holiday

we stayed at this house for 2 weeks in sept the house was spotless ,inside and out the locals are very friendly theres a pool just at the back of the house thats very clean .the landlord couldnt do enough for us hes very friendly and helpful the house is suitable for a nice quite family holiday no noisy nightclubs. there a local english bar about 5 min walk away that do great food aswell. i would recommend this property to anyone with or without kids. theres also a kids park about 2 minutes away. the roof terrace was fantastic great views there are local english shops ect. within walking distance and as i said nearly a perfect holiday it rained for 4 days while we were there but thats not the landlords fault lol ,,,,,,,,,,, great place for a quite holiday and i will use it again ,,, many thanks richie

Schönes Ferienhaus am Rande des Puig Campana

Das Haus ist schön und ruhig gelegen, ca. 10 km im Hinterland von Altea / Benidorm, auf ca. 300 m Seehöhe, am Aufstieg zum Puig Campana (1400 m, schönes Panorama der Küste). Ideal wenn man Ruhe und Nähe der Berge sucht und doch bei Bedarf schnell im Trubel der Küste sein will.

Ein paar Strassen tiefer (Carrer Cabeco d'Or) gibt es die schöne und abends lebendige Cafetaria Al Gust mit Billard (dort wird auch Brot verkauft). Um die Ecke ist das Centro Social La Alberca (Kneipe am Wochenende geöffnet). Direkt daneben ein kleines Einkaufszentrum mit Bar, allerdings gibt es dort (noch) keine Geschäfte. Zum Einkaufen ist Auto erforderlich, in La Nucia gibt es reichlich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und - Sonntags - einen bekannten Flohmarkt (rastro).

Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet, für kühle Tage stehen auch Heizgeräte zur Verfügung. Das Haus selbst hat kein Wifi, aber das wussten wir vorher. Auf der Dachterrasse kann man u.U. offene Netze empfangen, ansonsten gibt es Wifi in den umliegenden Bars.

Von gelegentlichem Hundegebell und Müllabfuhr (meist abends ca. 23h) abgesehen sehr ruhige Lage, keine Durchgangstrasse.

Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr gut per E-mail, Telefon, Whatsapp, alles war wie abgesprochen.

In der Umgegend gibt es zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten (z.B. Altstadt von Altea, Wasserfälle Fonts de l'Algar mit Dino Park, die Burgen von Polop und Guadalest) und (Berg-)Wanderungen, z.B. Puig Campana (1400 m, 'Hausberg' von Benidorm, sehr schöner Blick auf die Küste), Aitana (1500 m, höchster Berg der Provinz Alicante).

Very lovely home to spend your holidays

We spend our family vacation there this summer. And it was just fantastic! The owner is very helpfull and very friendly. The house itself is nice and clean. By car you're few minutes away from the beach of Benidorm or other places to go to. The central location made it easy for us to go on roadtrips. We visit all kinds of places but we just loved the waterfalls of Algar. What an amazing view! We highly recommend this charming house to spend your holidays with or without children. We went with our children and they had a great time there. We would definitly go back and spend our holidays there again. Thank you for your hospitality 😊
