Needs some love & care & general DIY

On arrival we were met by the representative of the property owner who showed us the way to the rental. On entering the property, we expected it to be basic as most high volume rentals are but the wear & tear usage we were not expecting. We handed over our deposit & a substantial cleaning fee (more about this later).

There was no hot water (boiler blew the main fuse box), as we arrived on a Saturday night we knew it would no be fixed till Monday & we prepared for that. On Monday 'late' afternoon is was fixed.

As it was very late in the evening when we arrived, we got unpacked, washed & put our son to bed. Here in lies the problems.

The bedding bottom sheets were clean but the top sheets was dirty, these needed washing. The towels must not have been used in a while as they really did smell musty. These were also washed - and added conditioner, which the wife thinks must have been missing from the previous guests.

We got the washing on, waiting hours for it to finish, hung them out & went to bed.

In the morning after a very poor sleep, we noticed the wear & tear of the property;

1. Bedroom door does not close unless you drag it over the tiles,

2. Bathroom shower plunger broken.

3. Shower curtain mouldy

4. Bath surround sealant, worn/missing - which allows water to pour onto the tiled floor)

5. Bathroom floor tower needed bleaching, disgusting.

6. Kitchen needed a good scrub down.

7. fold away bed was absolutely disgusting, we stripped it down, wiped away all the dirt, wiped it over with bleach solution & cleaned all the sheets.

Generally the overall look, feel & decoration was well presentable, it just needs some love & care to bring the property up to a standard - and of course not to have the guests spend the best part of the first day cleaning it.

Herein lies the problem - what was the expensive euro cleaning bill for? Our representative was never seen until the day we left. Which when we did leave, we spent the morning, sweeping, moping, wiping down. We also left cleaning products, cloths, sponges, bleach, washing up liquid, toilet rolls!

Moving on.

The location of the property is close to perfect, the roof terrace is a great way to get away from the pool & just relax with a book etc. The resort itself is clean, well looked after & although the water is not heated my son & his friends loved it!

Overall it served it's purpose. But our friends stayed in another apartment in the resort & it was stunning!

Owner's Response: I immediately forwarded the list to our staff. We are trying to get feedback from every guest, to avoid any claims for the future. So far the feedback were always very positive, also the cleanliness of the apartments. Regular guests who comes every year have confirmed this to us again and again. We don't use fabric softener for the laundry because the laundry dries very difficult otherwise. The bathrooms are going to renewed this year, that was already programmed, is unfortunately only possible in may, since we have occupied the apartments before. We're sorry, that you where not completely satisfied and hope that we could convince you in a next stay that our guests usually feel comfortable with us.

perfect holiday

We have had an amazing holiday in this apartment! Everything was very clean and the apartment was very big. We have had a lot of space. The resort is beautiful and the swimming pool was very great. We enjoyed everything!

The service during the booking process of this apartment was very good. Quick and very kind responses.

The employer who gave us the key was very kind and she explained everything in the apartment and we could call her if anything was not ok.

The location of the apartment is perfect. Close to a lot of shops, restaurants and beaches.

We would definitely recommend this apartment to other people, we loved it!

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten, die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig und die Pools wunderbar. Corralejo ist sehr entspannt und nicht überlaufen, die Dünenstrände traumhaft schön und die Landschaft einzigartig. Unser Urlaub war sehr erholsam und wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Urlaub mit Baby

Wir waren in dem Appartment mit unserer kleinen Tochter (damals 4 Monate alt) und können dieses Objekt und der Vermieter nur weiterempfählen. Es war sehr sauber und wir fanden in der Wohnung alles was man braucht.Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit auf Fuerteventura und Lanzarote.
