Great for family reunions. Total of 18
people can be accommodated by two houses .
My family of 5 had a GREAT time at this house. Everything you need is there, including a kayak and canoe. The house is very spacious and the location is unbelievable - especially for an active family like ours. I had 3 great bike rides and we all had 3 great hikes, including Sabattus Mtn. - a great reward for an easy hike. We also had a great dinner at Ebeneezer's and it is an easy hour drive to Portland and even shorter to some great towns like Bridgton and Bethel. Everyone in the town of Lovell is very friendly. We hope to go back next
year - it was unanimous with my family!!
Had the pleasure of staying in Cranberry Cottage for a week this summer. The house exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic, 2 min walk from the Marina where you could rent boats, have lunch/dinner or chill with a beer on the deck of The Loons Nest watching the sun set over beautiful Kezar Lake.
Upstairs had 3 large bedrooms one was ensuite (full bath) with a great walk in wardrobe. Main bathroom was upstairs also; so handy having the 2 bathrooms with 2 teenage girls!
Downstairs there is a lovely big open plan sitting room, dining area with 6 chairs and a huge kitchen with another table and 4 chairs.
Off the kitchen there was another bathroom with a shower/laundry room and a side door out to the where you park.
Off the kitchen/dining area there are patio doors onto a raised wooden deck. From here you can see down to lake through the woods. It is so peaceful and beautiful here that we would sit for hours taking it all in...so different from our normal city life.
There is a great camp fire already set up which we used alot to cook on...was so much fun making smores!!! A lovely hammock and swing set finishes it all off nicely.
There is a T.V and V.C.R. with a good collection of films if you find yourself in the mood for T.V. there is also a great range of board games. Forgot to mention the badmington nets out in the front garden along with rackets etc
The canoe and paddle boat is shared between both houses and they are kept down by the Marina. We had great fun out on the lake and life jackets and oars are provided.
There is WIFI which is great!
There is a little sandy beach 1 min through the woods at the back of the house and our girls spent hours swimming here. There are picnic tables here and there are also deck chairs out back of house you can bring down. There is a dock also that we had great fun jumping from in the evenings!!
There were plenty of towels, bed sheets etc. We did a big grocery shop in North Conway (about 20 min drive) which kept us going for the week. There is a lovely little pub/restaurant called Ebenezers about 2 mile down the road that is well worth a visit, never saw so many beer taps in the one pub (and I'm Irish!!).
We were lucky with the weather and only had 2 bad days, luckily there is plenty to do in nearby towns. We went to the outlets at Settlers Green where there is also a cinema. Be prepared for mosquitos!!
Perfect vacation in every way..
The place is beautiful..quiet. Very comfortable..only wish they had wifi...otherwise looking forward to returning,
There's a lot to do in the area and the lake is right there..a place you can enjoy in all seasons
We rented both properties for a small family reunion. The places were great and had EVERYTHING! We prepared meals each day there and cooked SMORES almost every night in their campfire ring! Spacious and very comfortable rooms. The Marina has not only rental boats but GREAT food (try their lobster rolls) and Ebinezar Kezar is around the corner for a international selection of beer and with badminton in the front yard and golf nearby and water sports 100 yards away, what isn't there to do? Hikes abound in the area. The only down side - mosquitoes and no fishing equipment rental spot around.
Thanks for a great time!
