Great cottage if you want to get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

Our whole family really loved the remoteness of this cottage. We were the only ones around and we really liked that. Plan to buy groceries before coming as there are not many stores around. Also since the cottage is on well water we would suggest buying drinking water when getting the groceries. The cottage is great with multiple skylights. The wifi was decent as well if you need that. My only complaints would be the bedding on the master bedroom was two small comforters and not one comforter for the whole bed, which was odd. Also the pillows in that room were also not good. I also thought there needed to be more plates, bowls and cutlery than there was. But overall I really enjoyed my time there and would suggest it to anyone.

Beautiful, secluded, serene

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a couple days here (July 2014) that were just magical. Very remote and peaceful. The house is really well-designed and lets in lots of natural light -- we didn't need to turn on any lights until after 9:30PM or so. Lots of rocky beaches for exploring. One evening, a fog rolled in and it's like we were in another world. Just a wonderful spot if you want to get away from it all.

Serene, seacoast get-away!

  • 5 of 5

We spent three days in Marie-Joseph at this beautiful cabin on the coast. We walked the rock beach, canoed to the islands, and relaxed in the comfort of the cozy living space. We grilled on the deck and soaked up the view, which was lovely. Everything was spotless and we had all that we needed. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was covenient. The folks were quick to respond and helpful. We'll absolutely be back.

A big thank you to the owner and her care taker for making our stay so sweet!

Great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three children stayed at this property over the summer. We had the best time being in nature, canoeing, fishing, and watching the gorgeous sunsets. Each day was special.
