Excellent apartment just a short walk to the Castro. Fantastic place and a lot more spacious than we expected. Great kitchen area for cooking and a balcony with stunning views. Very comfortable bed too. ThankYou Guys!
We stayed almost a week at this place and it really felt like home. Very nice studio with everything you need to feel comfortable! The view from a balcony is spectacular! We absolutely loved our stay and the city, will definitely be back again. Thanks to owbers for letting us stay! all the best to you!
We stayed here for a few days during an anniversary trip and the view is amazing! It was very convenient to have a kitchen area, as well as access to laundry if you needed it. The area is nice and you feel safe no matter what time you come and go. There is plenty of room to move about, and sitting on the couch looking out over the city is the main reason we booked this location.
I do agree that the kitchen/bath could use some updating, but they are functional and were clean so that was good enough for us. Street parking is very difficult, but we had to have a car so we dealt with it. Usually we could find a spot on the next block after circling for a bit. There were also lightbulbs missing in a few of the lamps so that made it dark in places. I also agree that whoever stayed above us was super noisy, so you might want to remind your upstairs renters that they might have guests below them on different schedules, and please be respectful of that. Other than that, everything worked fine for our needs.
My husband and I stayed here two nights and we both loved it. The first morning we woke up to the most amazing sunrise over the city--that part alone was worth the stay. Martin is very easy to get in touch with and I always had pleasant interactions with him throughout the booking process. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to make full breakfasts and dinners just like we do at home, and there was even a laundry room. It is in somewhat of a more residential area (it's quieter and easier to sleep), and only a 15$ Uber ride to Fisherman's Wharf. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals throughout the U.S. and this one was one of the most spacious for the price (and that view!). My husband and I will definitely be back. Thank you Martin & David!
I was really looking forward to staying here and the view was everything I hoped for! Fantastic view across SF.
However the apartment overall was disappointing. The kitchen is in desperate need of updating. It's as though someone has spent half an hour slapping a bit of paint on the units. Not very professional. The tile grouting was grubby. Just didn't feel that clean. The same with the bathroom. Plug hole in the shower was grimy and rusty.
The duvet cover and sheets looked like they had been screwed up before being put on the bed.
The blinds for the windows were very thin so expect to wake up with the sun.
The people in the flat above were extremely noisy the first night. I think they were line dancing!!!
We were told there was parking in the street but was actually quite hard to find a space.
Seemed v expensive for what it was. Wished I'd booked at hotel. Doubt I'll use home away again.
there are places that stay in your heart..and this is definitely one of them... thank you martin, thank you david. Enjoyed very much your art photos.... really nice photos.... the place is simple amazing, its really nice to have breakfast or dinner with such great views of SF.
My tip for other travelers.... use the bus no. 37 from church st to go up the hill its very convenient and it leaves you right on the corner.
