The Loft... Are you looking for a quiet spot to get-away? This might be the perfect spot. This contemporary-style cottage is perched above the ocean with views that cry out to be captured on film or in another art medium. With floor to ceiling windows and a loft area, accessed by the wonderful wooden spiral staircase, you can appreciate nature’s beauty in the area. There are two small open decks for sitting out and watching the lobster men haul their traps.
This is a very private spot at the end of a strip of land that looks across Boothbay Harbor. You have access to the Juniper Point Association amenities with tennis, boat dock and beach. Boothbay also has a number of good restaurants and shops.
* Association/Shared Beach
* Association/Shared Dock and Float
* Fireplace, wood
* Open Deck
* TV with VCR (Tape or CD)
* Tennis Courts a short walk away (4 clay), Association for a fee
We just arrived home from our week at the Loft and I had to take a minute to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay! It was WONDERFUL!!
It was so peaceful, just watching the boats go in and out of the harbor. We had three eagles flying overhead on a daily basis. What a great view.
Our first visit to Boothbay Harbor was very enjoyable, and the food was great! We steamed some of our own lobsters which we purchased from a local lobsterman right off the boat. We also went up to Reds for lobster roll and to Kahlers for great lobster stew. The muffins from the Southport General Store were the best!
We also sailed on the Eastwind which was so much fun!
As you can probably tell by now that we had a great trip and hopefully we can do it again. Thank you so much!

We absolutely loved staying at the Loft. Brad left us a nice note and a bottle of wine. The view was amazing, the place was so cute and it was very peaceful at night. We would highly recommend the Loft in Boothbay Harbor!
We love the Loft and come here every year. The location and view are spectacular. It is a short distance from town, so it is away from the crowds and noise but it is easy to get to the local amenities. There is a community dock within walking distance, so we bring our bathing suits and kayaks. The kitchen is well equipped, so we kayak or drive to the nearby wharf and get lobsters or local seafood and bring it back to cook ourselves. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby (McSeagulls is our favorite, but we also like to have lunch at Kalers and can't get enough of the ice cream at the Ice Cream Factory). There are plenty of things to do, such as sight seeing, whale watches, clam bakes, schooner sails, trips to Monhegan Island, visiting the aquarium, going to the Botanical Gardens, shopping, or just gazing at the beautiful harbor. Friends and relatives have come to visit us while we are at the Loft and they all think it is lovely, too. The owner is very helpful.
My wife and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We could not have picked a better place to stay than The Loft nor a better location than Boothbay Harbor. The loft is peaceful, bright, clean, and welcoming. We made several meals there using both the oven and the outside grill and it was fantastic! I would recommend The Loft for any couple or small family looking to have some privacy and solitude right on the water but minutes from an active harbor town. We would do it again in a heartbeat. A five minute drive to downtown Boothbay Harbor, and within an hour to beautiful locations like Pemaquin Point, Camden (with a great view from the top of Mt. Battie) and even closer to historic Wiscasset. Owner is great to work with and helpful with local info, and surprised us with a bottle of wine upon our arrival! Two thumbs up!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home with us. We really enjoyed everything about it - the weather even cooperated. Would definitely return in a heart beat!
