comfortable apartment in good location

We have just returned from a 3 month stay at Penrose Ground. We found it a real home from home, as it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the large veranda and we spent most of our time out there when at the property. It's in a great location, only a few minutes walk from a lovely quiet beach which was a lovely find as it's not signposted. Mont Choisy beach is only a short bus ride away or can cycle and has all facilities, very busy at weekends though.The house is in a quiet location just outside the main tourist area but easy to get to facilities by bus, walking or on bikes. Could walk through the back roads to Le Croisette which has a great food market, would recommend for meat and fruit. There are also stalls nearby selling fruit, but sometimes they tried to rip us off! The bus service is excellent, running up and down the coast from Port Louis. Goodlands is a great little town to visit for clothes shopping and has a clothes market twice a week, we tended to get left alone to look as there were not many tourists there. Would certainly recommend Penrose, also saw the apartment upstairs which is even bigger and openplan. We thought it was the best in the area judging by the outside space. The only reason we only gave 3 stars is because we think the outside could do with a lick of paint, apart from that it's all good.

Penrose Apartments are situated in a quiet residential area amid local families and amenities.

With only 15 minutes walk you can be in the center of 'Grand baie' which is one of the most popular resorts visited on the island. This fantastic bay is equiped to cater for any needs with its many restaurants, stores, boutiques and bars. All watersports and holiday activities are also available easily.
