Park City area House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms 1 baths, - 2 separate units

This historic home is located at 416 Park Avenue, THE ABSOLUTE BEST LOCATION IN OLD TOWN. It's in the heart of Old Town and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This unmatched location overlooks Miner's Plaza Park and Historic Main Street from the back deck and offers the benefit of off-street parking in front. This house was originally built in 1897 by a merchant on Main Street and then rebuilt after the fire of 1898. In 1989 it was renovated into upper and lower units by current owners, Jack and Ramona, and have constantly upgraded it to exceed expectations. The upper unit is rented on a nightly basis.

1. Location - Access to the Center of Historic Main Street does not get any easier. Just steps to the No Name Saloon, 412 Bistro, 350 Main, Chimayo, The Sidecar Bar at 333 Main Street, Wasatch Brew Pub, Harry 0's, Lounge, Butchers Chophouse and Bar, Alpine Internet Cafe, Town Lift Cafe, Egyptian Theater, High West Distillery and Saloon, and the list goes on with shopping etc. You can GOOGLE these places and just add Park City, Utah, to the selected place and also Google 416 Park Ave. Park City, Utah, search restaurants, shopping, etc.,for more location information.

2. There are NO EXHAUSTING STAIRS TO CLIMB, just park your car in the front off street parking - NO SEARCHING FOR PARKING OR WAITING FOR BUSES - and walk straight in the front door.

3. Very bright natural lighting throughout house.

4. High ceilings in all rooms.

5. Cozy, quiet environment with all the bustle of Main Street right outside your door.

6. A 200 yard DOWNHILL walk takes you to the Town Ski Lift, or to the Park City Transit Center, where you have free bus service to Deer Valley, the Canyons, or just about anywhere in the Park City area, every 10 minutes. If a five minute walk is too long, then the trolley on Main Street will take you to the Transit Center.

7. Be in the CENTER of activity during such events as the Sundance Film Festival, Jazz Festivals, and Arts Festivals, to mention a few.

8. Musical entertainment in Miners Plaza every Sat. and Sun. throughout Summer from approx. 1-5 p.m.

These are just a few reasons to choose this House as your Vacation Destination Location!

About The Owner

Jack and Ramona enjoy travel and gardening, and meeting the wonderful people that stay in their home while visiting Park City. This picture was taken at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, with a Little Miss Sunshine theme.

The Owner purchased this house in 1988

Why The Owner chose Park City area

We were intrigued with Park City the minute we saw it. Back then (in 1988), there were few renovated houses and in the summer it was a ghost town! We saw this house, realized its potential and thought the location would prove to be a major asset. It was an original miner's home that was rebuilt after the fire of 1898, and we took great pleasure in its restoration. We know you will enjoy it!

What makes this house unique

When your long ski day is over and its time to relax, your comfort and enjoyment will be enhanced by our attention to detail, making this cozy home YOUR home to start building some great memories. Your steps away form the Bars and Restaurants and all the night life Park City has to offer, without the hassle of a long and strenuous walk up and down the mountain from homes on the other streets. If you prefer to travel to another resort, a short walk to the transit center with free transportation can take you anywhere in the Park City area!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jim

We had a wonderful time at Jack and Romona's house in Park City. If you want to be right off of Main Street in Old Town this is the place to be! The home is incredibly equipped with everything you could possibly imagine to make your stay enjoyable. We were in Park City to ski and celebrate my wife's birthday and Jack saw to it that everything was perfect. He also promptly answered all of my questions. The home was also stocked with goodies when we arrived! We highly recommend this property!

A wonderfully cozy Park City respite

  • 5 of 5

Jack greeted us when we arrive and showed us around the house. It is wonderfully appointed and it is clear that a lot of love and care has gone into its maintenance and care. Everything we wanted or needed was right there and Jack went out of his way to arrange a few extras that we requested. The location is unbeatable... a block from Main Street restaurants... but is still peaceful and quiet. One floor might be a little bit small for some (given only one bathroom) but was perfect for us. More food and kitchen staples than I have ever seen in a VRBO house. We will definitely be back the next time we are skiing in Park City!

Doesn't Get Any Better

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I, two old dudes, on our annual ski trip enjoyed everything about the Red House.

The house was clean, well set up, and the parking was phenomenal! The location goes with out

saying. It's right in the heart of the city and you can walk to and enjoy every aspect of this town.

The feature we liked the most was that there was No "list of demands" you see in other rental

properties. We did what we thought was fair and reasonable in housekeeping and left the home

without painstakingly going over a check list to find out how to close the place. It was nice to

be treated like an adult. The pictures Do Not do this place justice!! Stay here!

The Red House on Main Street

  • 5 of 5

Our second stay at Jack's house. Every time that we stay there, ask my friend, I will bet we don'yt have have this or have that, but I am always wrong!

We have made steaks, lobsters, pasta, you name it...The TV has about about 150 channels, which is just silly...

Whether it be a potatoe peeler of cork screw or a colander., even energy drinks in the fridge!...It is always there. This last visit, Jack even had yogurt and bananas there, as well as chips and salsa, in case we forgot something, not to mention the cupboard full of odds and ends (Olive oil, mustard, pasta and stuff). I have never seen this in a rental house, and this is why we keep coming back. The personal touches and the the occasional personal phone calls from Jack while we are in his home, are what makes the place a memorable experience. I wouldn't even consider renting anywhere else, even though I prefer to ski at Alta and Snowbird...It is worth the drive, and the location cannot be beat in Park City!

myself + son & daughter-in-law stayed for 4 nights -- perfect size for 2 couples or 2 adults & 2 kids -- very comfortable & decorated in fashion fitting its historic designation -- only up-dates any of us commented on were: possibly new shower head in bathroom & different, more kitchen-y lighting on kitchen ceiling -- 3 TVs, extensive Comcast package & PC for checking e-mail & internet research -- plus, owner was wonderfully helpful with patient instructions over the telephone

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

I needed a 2bdrm unit for my 26 year old twins and spouse. We are used to fully stocked condos replete with pots/pans, great comfort fit beds, foot/back massagers, wifi and all the comforts of home. This home satisfied all our needs. It was super convenient to town, had door front parking and very attentive thoughtful owners.

We can't wait to use it again
