About the property

2 Bedrooms 1 baths, - 2 separate units

This historic home is located at 416 Park Avenue, THE ABSOLUTE BEST LOCATION IN OLD TOWN. It's in the heart of Old Town and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This unmatched location overlooks Miner's Plaza Park and Historic Main Street from the back deck and offers the benefit of off-street parking in front. This house was originally built in 1897 by a merchant on Main Street and then rebuilt after the fire of 1898. In 1989 it was renovated into upper and lower units by current owners, Jack and Ramona, and have constantly upgraded it to exceed expectations. The 900 sq. foot upper unit is rented on a nightly basis. The lower unit can be rented for along with the upper unit for 7 or more days.

1. Location - Access to the Center of Historic Main Street does not get any easier. Just steps to the No Name Saloon, 412 Bistro, 350 Main, Chimayo, Wasatch Brew Pub, Lounge, Butchers Chophouse and Bar, Town Lift Cafe, Egyptian Theater, High West Distillery and Saloon, and the list goes on with shopping etc. You can GOOGLE these places and just add Park City, Utah, to the selected place and also Google 416 Park Ave. Park City, Utah, search restaurants, shopping, etc.,for more location information.

2. There are NO EXHAUSTING STAIRS TO CLIMB, just park your car in the front off street parking - NO SEARCHING FOR PARKING OR WAITING FOR BUSES - and walk straight in the front door.

3. Very bright natural lighting throughout house.

4. High ceilings in all rooms.

5. Cozy, quiet environment with all the bustle of Main Street right outside your door.

6. A 200 yard DOWNHILL walk takes you to the Town Ski Lift, or to the Park City Transit Center, where you have free bus service to Deer Valley, the Canyons, or just about anywhere in the Park City area, every 10 minutes. If a five minute walk is too long, then the trolley on Main Street will take you to the Transit Center.

7. Be in the CENTER of activity during such events as the Sundance Film Festival, Jazz Festivals, and Arts Festivals, to mention a few.

8. Musical entertainment in Miners Plaza every Sat. and Sun. throughout Summer from approx. 1-5 p.m.

These are just a few reasons to choose this House as your Vacation Destination Location!

About The Owner

Jack and Ramona enjoy travel and gardening, and meeting the wonderful people that stay in their home while visiting Park City. This picture was taken at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, with a Little Miss Sunshine theme.

The Owner purchased this house in 1988

Why The Owner chose Park City area

We were intrigued with Park City the minute we saw it. Back then (in 1988), there were few renovated houses and in the summer it was a ghost town! We saw this house, realized its potential and thought the location would prove to be a major asset. It was an original miner's home that was rebuilt after the fire of 1898, and we took great pleasure in its restoration. We know you will enjoy it!

What makes this house unique

When your long ski day is over and its time to relax, your comfort and enjoyment will be enhanced by our attention to detail, making this cozy home YOUR home to start building some great memories. Your steps away form the Bars and Restaurants and all the night life Park City has to offer, without the hassle of a long and strenuous walk up and down the mountain from homes on the other streets. If you prefer to travel to another resort, a short walk to the transit center with free transportation can take you anywhere in the Park City area!

This home is very comfortable for four and really tuned to skiing, shopping and dinning. Two parking spaces at the Red House is like icing on the cake. The owners, Jack & Ramona, are warm & attentive. The house is perfectly stocked, immaculately clean and very comfortable. I will recommend The Red House to my friends and family.

Wonderful historical home in great location of Park City !! Exceeded our expections !

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the "red house". We loved the location right near town and we

walked to everything, including many hiking trails.

The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive . The house itself was perfect in its historical charm and

was very well equipped and accessorized. We would definitely stay there again and are recommending

this great home to our friends and family.

Jack's Place is perfect! If you want to be in the center of town, look out your front door and see the sloped, look out your back door and see main street, then this house is for you! Jack goes above and beyond to make sure you have an incredible stay. Enjoy...

A wonderfully cozy Park City respite

  • 5 of 5

Jack greeted us when we arrive and showed us around the house. It is wonderfully appointed and it is clear that a lot of love and care has gone into its maintenance and care. Everything we wanted or needed was right there and Jack went out of his way to arrange a few extras that we requested. The location is unbeatable... a block from Main Street restaurants... but is still peaceful and quiet. One floor might be a little bit small for some (given only one bathroom) but was perfect for us. More food and kitchen staples than I have ever seen in a VRBO house. We will definitely be back the next time we are skiing in Park City!
