Paros House Rental Photos and Description

1.5 km from beach, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, private pool, terrace, garden

The house is located on the island of Paros on the slope of a hill with a south-east direction. During the summer, the sun shines from the sunrise to the early evening directly on the house. From all rooms and from the spacious terrace you can enjoy a panorama view of the Aegean. On days with clear view, you can see the horizon up to seven Aegean islands. The house was completed in July 2007 and combines the traditional construction of the Cyclades with modern equipment and aesthetic, architectural details: 50 cm thick walls, room heights over 3 m, ceilings made of walnut trees from Berg Athos. A private swimming pool (about 5x7 m) and a garden with olive trees and other local plants invite house guests to relax. Only 2 km away you will find Golden Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. You can go surfing, sailing, swimming or simply enjoy the sun on the crystal clear water and the fine sand beach.

Travel time: Paros is worth a visit nearly throughout the year: during April and May, the landscape blooms and you can enjoy it best while hiking or cycling. June and September are the most beautiful months for the summer holiday, it is usually busy during July and August. In October, sometimes even into November, you can enjoy the comfortable air and water temperatures. Finally, the central location of the island allows for a lot of short trips to the many islands nearby. In the harbour of Parikia, daily tours are offered, like to Antiparos, Mykonos, Delos, Koufonissia and Santorin. Sailing tours to the surrounding beaches and island cruises, including food on board with fresh fish are included.

Arrival: Four airlines (Lufthansa, Air Berlin, Aegean Airlines and Olympic) operate multiple daily flights from different German airports to Athens. From here, two to three machines fly daily from Olympic Airlines directly to Paros - flight time about 35 minutes. The spaces are very in demand, thus, an early reservation is recommended. Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Paros form the harbour of Piraus or Rafina. The ferry trip usually takes between 2.5 and 4 hours depending on the ferry and harbour. From most German airports, there are flight connections that arrive during the morning at the Athens airport. If you take a connecting flight to Paros in the early afternoon, you can be at the swimming pool at 16:00 and enjoy the stunning view of the Aegean.

Care on site: Should you want help and tips for organizing your trip (for example, reliable rental car agency on Paros, current ferry connections, reliable taxi drivers to pick you up from the airport in Athens or on Paros), then we (Apostolos and Barbara Apergis) will help you. Our contacts on site run a very good restaurant 1 km from the house and support you quickly if needed.

Fabulous 3-bed villa in Drios

  • 5 of 5

We were 3 adults staying in this gorgeous villa and found it to be perfect for our stay on the gorgeous Paros. The villa is very well equipped (esp. having a washing machine) and the 3 x bed, 3 x bathrooms suited our needs perfectly. It has a gorgeous view down to the water, is very private and while tucked in the hill is only a few minutes from Drios' restaurants, supermarkets, and small jobs. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location in one of the best greek island

  • 5 of 5

We populated the villa with 6 adults and we found the accomodation very comfortable. The accuracy of the instructions given by the owner and the suggestion of the local housekeeper were extremely usefull to avoid the little problems that often arise when you rent a house for vacation. The beautifull view while you refresh in the pool and the espresso coffee in the morning are some of the memories we brought at home. Not to forget the house cat Fellini...

Loved this place, best place we stayed in greece

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 4 nights as 8 people( 4 adults, 4 kids age 8-14) It was perfect, the view is amazing from the hill. As others have said had everything we needed for our trip. You do need car but all is very close, we explored many beaches, Naoussa etc and a few nights we grilled at the villa. There are fruit trees, olive trees, figs etc nearby and we sat up every night til midnight on the loungers watching the incredible stars. This island was awesome too for our families, laid back, easy going, great swimming beaches and store to get essentials, the people on the island were the nicest and friendliest we met. Many people we met gave us a taste of food, offered us a drink or dessert etc. One women at her coffee shop gave my husband some of her homemade lunch when we commented on the great smell!. The rental was easy and all the villa was VERY clean as was the pool. Our kids thought this was the best part of our trip , as did we. We did Paros, Athens and Santorini on this trip. Highly recommend this villa.

We need to go back....to Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Arriving at Paros airport at 0700 is quite daunting for most people especially if you have flown overnight from London. We had been to Paros before so our rental car (Cyclades Rent a Car) was waiting for us at the airport. We ambled around the island until we could gain access to Villa Eleniki early at around 13.30. It was well worth the wait; located on a hill overlooking the village of Drios and the beaches at Chryssi Atki (Golden Beach) the villa is the centre one of three interlinked villas (although you do feel very private). The views are stunning and we immediately felt at home in the clean and comfortable environment. The architecture is wonderful and little touches like rope swirls to cover metal brackets and brass “ships style” light fittings all add to the wonderful ambience.

The villa has plenty of room for four adults and four children, perhaps 6 adults; as a couple we found the space and privacy ideal for us. The kitchen is well equipped and having the washing machine was a great asset enabling us to travel light. We found an iron, ironing board, and almost everything we wanted either in the house or store at the rear.

There is an adequate supply of clean linen and towels.

The remote controlled ceiling fans are great, keeping the bedrooms cool during the night. Bathrooms are small but very modern and just what you need on holiday – great showers!

When we booked we were sent a detailed set of “house instructions” which enabled us to make the most of the facilities. The pool was well maintained and even though the skimmers can be noisy the house instructions advised us to use them when we were out – great attention to detail.

The hillside position does mean you need a car, walking down would be OK, but up could be quite a task. In Drios we found a fantastic supermarket that really was well stocked and further away we found all we needed for a perfect stay. Paros can be very stylish in the evening especially in Naoussa which is only a drive away – so cool smart casual clothes are great.

Finally Manolis the local agent could not be more helpful, he is on hand if you need him 24hrs.... well that’s what he said! We did not need him as everything was perfect!

Yep – loved the place and we will be going back next year!

Beautifully presented modern Cycladic villa

  • 5 of 5

Making our first trip abroad with our year old baby, we opted for the Villa Eleniki and were not disappointed. From the initial enquiry, the owner answered all our questions and provided additional information and photos to ensure that we were making the correct choice. However beautiful the villa appears on this website, we were still surprised at the villa's quality of finish, stunning hillside location and views across the Aegean to Naxos. This more than justified the decision to venture south of the main resorts of Parikia and Naoussa. I would say that a car is essential for this property, and the owner recommended a rental firm who met us at the port on our arrival and departure. The island is easily accessible by car, with nowhere more than 30 minutes away from Drios. We explored more of Paros and Antiparos on this holiday than all of our previous trips combined. We even circled the island in less than an hour to get the baby to sleep! Facilities within the village of Drios were more than adequate, with a decent selection of tavernas and supermarkets. The Golden Beach is less than 5 minutes from the villa by car, with other less well known beaches not too much further. One evening we made the 25 minute walk to and from the village, but would guess that the steep hill would make this less pleasant in the height of summer.

On arrival we were met by the owner’s local contact Manolis, who was available whenever needed throughout the stay. The villa, terrace and pool were spotlessly clean, and had all the facilities needed to make us feel instantly at home. A TV might have been useful, when the temperature dropped enough in the evening (it was May) to force us indoors – but in hindsight meant we wasted little time during our stay. We had more than enough space for our party of 3 adults, 1 child and a baby - and didn't need to use the additional guest room which had a separate bathroom and bunk bed. The bedrooms have just been fitted with ceiling fans, which were welcomed, but I’m sure will be more useful in the hotter months.

We will certainly return, and recommend the property to anyone seeking a relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of the Cyclades.

Paros is one of the most beautiful Greek islands. The very well built network of streets allows visitors to discover the picturesque villages and the countless beautiful sand and pebble beaches. The house is 1 km from the village centre of Drios. Drios is a small, peaceful village directly by the sea, about a 30 minute drive from the harbour city of Parikia, 15 minutes from the airport. In the two taverns on the peaceful harbour of Drios, you can enjoy the Greek cuisine and fresh fish directly by the sea. 2 km from Drios is Golden Beach, one of the most beautiful sand beaches of the island, which offers water sport types like wind surfing. You can book sailing tours around the island or to the secluded bays. Countless excursion options, like bars, restaurants and discos can be found in the night life of Parikia and Naoussa, the two larger cities of the island, which can be reached in about 20-30 minutes by car.

Particularly practical is that both bedrooms and the guest room have their own bathrooms with showers and WC. In the living room you will find a dining table with a stone bench. According to traditional Aegean architecture, all walls are white and the doors and window frames are sky blue. Countless architectural details (depositions in the walls, discrete reading lights by the beds, stylish lights, etc.) give the house elegance and make living here a wonderful experience.

Notes:
During the summer, life is usually spent outside. With 150 m2 on two levels, the terraces offer enough space. On the first terrace level covered with a pergola, you will find two fixed tables with benches made of stone: a dining table with a space for 6 people and a coffee table, each with a table plate made of the famous island marble. The private swimming pool (4x6.5 m) is located on the two terrace levels and is regularly maintained during the operational time (from May to September) from qualified personnel. On the level under the terrace you will find the garden: on a surface of 400 m2 you will find olive trees and other local plants. Behind the house you will find a private parking lot. All rooms and bathrooms are equipped with electric heating. Thus, the house can be inhabited during the winter and spring as well.
